    Really awesome performance by the Sabrent. I would have loved to see the Angelbird benchmarked, it doesn't get stuck in my Z8 and was the coolest by far on your Z9 tests.

      Angelbird performance is behind Delkin in my R3 testing, which means its around the Sabrent and Lexar level in photo performance.
      Once I got word from more user that had issue with the Angelbird cards, I had to discard the CF express card from my testing to protect my subscribers. I don't want to promote badly made cards that will eventually crack into pieces. I even reached out to Angelbird about the issue, crickets.
      cheers~

    When I switched from a Z50 to a Z7II I got a regular Sabrent type B card at 512 gigs. Did some research before I ordered it to compare it to other cards but I also know Sabrent as a brand.
    While it's slower than other CFexpress type B cards I just couldn't find any other 512 gb cards at a similar price.
    It's also still fast enough for a burst of about 55 shots at 10fps before the buffer is full. I never shoot big bursts like that, so I will never outrun the buffer with this card.
    For my purposes it just has crazy good price to perfomance while also coming from a reputable brand. I can only recommend it if you are using something like a Z6II, Z7II or something of a similar calibre.
    Though for a Z8 or Z9 I would probably invest in a faster card.

      Are you referring to the blue label one? I bought the Sabrent with similar idea. If you dont need all the bursting and just want storage , Sabrent would be the way to go for the price. When I went on vacation, that was the card I brought. Im glad they sent over a sample of the pro version for this test.

      @@theCameraVille Yes, the blue label one. I have zero issues with it and the way I shoot I never fill the buffer. I also like to take videos here and there so the additional capacity really helps there!

    Awesome review man. Thank you for the info on the Angel Bird. Ugh, I have both the 1TB AV PRO and 512 GB AV PRO SE. I need to watch out for the cards getting stuck in my Z8. I just bought an Exascend Essential 1 TB CFE-B card and have the ProGrade 325 GB Cobalt. I just put the Sabrent Pro on my Amazon wishlist! :) Why do I need so many CFB cards? I try to avoid bringing my laptop with me on travels.

      Sweet~! Yea, be gentle when you pull the Angelbird card out. I got word from my other viewers that a piece of the plastic was stuck in their slot. One of them was lucky, he only needed gravity to rock it out. Pull out gently~
      Thank you for the heads up on the Exascend Essential, I will take a look into that card. I was told bout the Nikon card and OWXC. Maybe a Fall review on those cards :D.
      Dont worry, I carry several cf express card when I head out :D. May never know when 1 may malfunction or get full real fast.

    Hello, if understood correctly better to not put any SD card in the second slot as back up right ? The ProGrade 512GB CFexpress 2.0 Gold in first slot is a good one ? thanks

    I have been looking for the best card for the Z8. Specifically, I would like to see a comparison for how many minutes can each card by recorded on before the hot card warning comes up, when recording in 4k 60p, h265, 10 bit, with oversampling enabled.

      This would been a great suggestion when we did the video a year ago. I am sad no one ask such a question before. In the video we did do a heat test which will give you a general idea on which one will over heat faster.

    I know you dont recommend the Angelbird CFexpress Type B cards 1TB.
    But I have been using them in my Z9 and Z8 without any problems since last year with my Z9.
    Found NO issues with cards being too wide or getting stuck inside the both cameras.
    Where did you get this reported from as i've found No issues at all with Angelbird cards.
    Regards Nigel Rand Nikon Z Pro UK.

    I have been resisting buying CFexpress cards since I bought my A7RV because of cost and I find SD cards to do the job well when I shoot portraits, family events and landscape.
    I find myself tempted to try the CFexpress type A from Sabrent. They seem to perform well for a price lower than the other 3 you tested. Now, I have to determine if I'm gaining anything in the type of photography that I do.
    What's your thought?

    • @theCameraVille
      @theCameraVille  Год назад

      Sabrent is an excellent brand. Im trying to look up the Type A cards but I dont see one for Sony yet. Do you have a link?

    • @tc6912
      @tc6912 Год назад

      One benefit that may not be as important is getting the data off the card. I was surprised when I moved from a 20mpx camera with XQD to a 45mpx camera with CF-B, getting the larger files off the card was actually faster. By the way, for everyday shooting, the XQD card worked perfectly fine in my Z8.

    • @theCameraVille
      @theCameraVille  Год назад

      @@tc6912 If that is your standard then awesome. I got rid of my XQD because it was slower than the cards I had tested.

    • @tc6912
      @tc6912 Год назад

      @theCameraVille I don't disagree. Just pointing out that the XQD card isn't terrible if you need a little time to recover from the drain on the wallet after the purchase of a new camera. Also, my camera shop didn't have the higher end CF-B cards.

      Greg! That is terrible that Angelbird didn't honor the warranty! I heard stories from other users as well on this issue and its still going on sadly.
      There was an Angelbird rep that was going through all the community forums and FB groups, giving the admin FREE GEAR so they can kindly remove the negative comments. One of the admin reach out to me and he was trying to get me to change my mind but nope. Their CF express card got stuck in my Z9, no way I'm going to sell out.
      Cheers GREG! Thank you for your input.

    I was thrilled to see you include the Sabrient RAW-only results. As an amateur, my focus is solely on RAW files, not RAW + JPG. I primarily shoot landscape & cityscape photography. I recently moved to an area where can also capture military aircraft (F-22s & F-35s), plus the local annual airshow (Blue Angels). My Nikon D850 has served me well for landscapes. However, it comes up short when capturing airshows. That's why I'm considering buying the Z8. If I buy the Z8, I want to make sure whatever card I purchase is fast enough to support the 20 fps capabilities. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THESE RESULTS!

    • @theCameraVille
      @theCameraVille  11 месяцев назад

      Oh yes, I also shoot RAW only. I never do both Jpeg and RAW. I only did it for this test to stress out the card as much as I can. 1/8000 shutter speed was also a setting I never use but I figure lets stress the card as hard as we can. I will let the user determine if their needs are met with this stress test. So if you shooting raw and 1/2000 with the Sabrent, yes it will perform like butter. FAST and speedy.
