Self diagnosed after tons of research, I thought of and began to do something very similar to this a week ago. Was diagnosed (I believe MISdiagnosed) with tendonitis by a podiatrist AFTERWARDS, and prescribed a foot brace; however, THIS method worked WONDERS for me! YES, it was very painful, but it worked!!! The ball I used was actually much harder.

I was just given a brace and told it was probably tendinitis by a podiatrist as well. Glad to hear this was someone else’s experience as well and that this helped! Going to give this a try.

I am just grateful to finally have a name for the pain I've been going through and a solution that won't cost a fortune. My heart goes out to anyone who is dealing with this 🥺

Was told I had a stress fracture on MRI but joint is where pain is - not bone. So much money spent on this - and I need a roller and lax ball.

@Tsomo you could probably have some minor release using myofascial release techniques, find a specialized therapist for that. After your pain has diminished you can mobilize your cuboid.@bill, this ball mobilizes to eversion. People with issues on the cuboid are granted more relief by mobilisation into inversion (because of the way the peroneus muscles act)

Can you use a tennis ball if you don't have a lacrosse ball? How many times a day should this be done?

Is this for when the bone is outwards ? Mine is outwards.

Not so sure this good if the cuboid is pronated?

This can be triggerd for wearing bad shoes. I had the same problem. I don't run, jump or dance. Excruciating pain every now and then. I did my research and found out it was caused by the poor design of casual shoes. Did the mobilisation technique and it helped. Watch out for shoes without support or tight ones.
