You look like the kind of guy that will love the song "Loneliness" by Wintersun. Growling only in the begining of the song, and then a fantastic epic melow and intense song. Cheers from Portugal.
Everyone has their prefference :) I don't like screaming or growling too, but with Wintersun I listened to them until I got used to it because I like the music. Jari is on the edge of tolerance for me, I can actually understand what he is singing even in his harsh vocals. Also fun fact, Jari had part of his lung removed because of tuberculosis and he is still a power house.
One of my favorite bands, but thumbs up from me 4 the honest reaction👍👍 Yeah if u don't like growls or screaming this band is not 4 U but that said if u are ever going 2 listen 2 another song from them try Loneliness (winter) it only has a little bit of growls in the beginning but otherwise it's really different from the song u just heard. Jari wrote the song after his father passed away. He played all the instruments himself on this album (the forest seasons) except the drums. And yes it's the official channel (WintersunJari) after Jari Mäenpää (lead singer, guitarist and song writer).
@@LeechTMReacts I would definitely give "Loneliness (Winter)" a shot. There is really just a small section of death growls, and the song is absolutely beautiful. I'm like you. I don't do death metal, mostly because of the growls. But I gave Wintersun a shot. It grew on me, and 4 songs are now part of my daily playlist, this being one of them. It's just too epic to be left out.
LeechTM Reacts Technically this type of growl, false chord scream, is not a death metal growl. This is more of a black metal screech vocal. They’re also using black metal techniques in the music composition. As such Wintersun genre is quite unique, but if I were to pinpoint their sound it would be Melodic Death Symphonic Folk Black Power Metal imo.
We all have our preferences, I like the honesty! My fave Wintersun song is Eternal Darkness, it has some black metal influence, if you wanted to check it out. Understand if you don't 🤘🙂
If you like clean voices I recommend u 'Death and the healing' by Wintersun. It's an amazing song that I know u will love haha. Btw, new subscriber here, cheers from Argentina. Oh... 'The forest that weeps' is an epic song too.
Growls are there in every subgenre of metal. Deal with it or don't listen. You'll be hard pressed to find any bands that don't have growls. In this day and age growls are not confined to just black or death metal.
I think you clearly misunderstood me. I do like growling and screaming, i was a metalcore screamer myself for 10 years, i just dont like the typical deathmetal / grindcore growling.
@@LeechTMReacts there is no such thing as death metal growl. Growl is either high or low. Anyway in this video he had a high scream which is not even normally used in death metal or grindcore and you still didn't like it.
This is nice when a guy can point out the technical skills even not liking the song. Respect for that! Then I have one try-out for you about the best growling death metal vocals. If that doesn't work work you, I give up :D Amorphis - The Bee (Official lyric video)
React to a very good band no other reaction channels do: Vanden Plas Vanden Plas are a prog metal band from Germany that have been around since the '80s but released their first album in 1994, and are always being compared to Dream Theater. They have a new, 2019 release, 1st single being 'The Ghost Xperiment' or if you prefer a live reaction, try 'Postcard To God (official live video)' from their 2010 Prog Power USA appearance.
The same here, but in the other way. I dont like high normal male singing and i dont like Power - Progressive Metal like Dream Theatre of Blind Guardian, the music is okay, but i hate the singing. And i love Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Satyricon, Immortal, Behemoth and so on. ☺

Loneliness (winter) but acoustic version doesn't have the growling and it's the most beautiful thing ever!! 😭

At drums the great Kai Hato actual Nightwish drummer
If you like long songs that have a story to tell i suggest looking at Blind Guardian - And Then There Was Silence.
