    Price kills this. $2000 US. This is approaching two post lift prices and is right there with hydraulic scissor jack pricing. This should be half that price at most. My search continues

    I just bought this lift...its awesome...lifts my 4000 lb truck with no problem!

  • @hankhenninger3330
    @hankhenninger3330 5 лет назад +1

    I bought one and it works great. I don’t have a garage so I use it in my driveway. With the screw feature you don’t need any safety locks. It stays were ever you stop the lift. You push on the car after it’s up and it doesn’t move. I can put it in the back of car and take it to a friends house and use it there.

    Not a bad idea. I like the product, but am concerned with safety. I would like to see a much better price, as it is out of my budget.

    Where are the safety locks? 2000.00 dollars is crazy! Powered lifts, electric over hydraulic with safety locks cost less!

  • @watahyahknow
    @watahyahknow 10 лет назад +3

    the only downside is that when you have a narrow 1 or 1,5 car garage you cant slide the lift under the car from the side
    it might be an idea to make ramps on the front and back so you can drive over the lift

  • @raginreggin3096
    @raginreggin3096 7 лет назад +8

    2K? When I saw it I liked the idea. Use your own power to lift, nothing permanent, doesn't look expensive. I was thinking maybe 3 or 400 bucks. Price is just too unrealistic.

    • @ljguy300
      @ljguy300 6 лет назад +2

      Ragin Reggin exactly. What's is the cost of the goods sold here? Doesnt look to be more than 100 dollars plus markups 500 to 700 tops. 2k is crazy high.

    This was a very interesting video, THANK YOU so much for doing this. Exactly what I wanted to see, and no filler. This might be the lift I am looking for.

    This is kinda cool, i hate jacks and stands on modern cars because there no space for both on a side, but $1700 after discount prices this thing way out of reach for 95% of people

    • @HeliFlightRCU
      @HeliFlightRCU 8 лет назад

      For 95% of the people who own and work on their cars this is a huge bargain - that will quickly pay for it self by allowing all work to be done with ease. It's portable, compact and I won't have to have permanent pillers taking up space in the garage. It's low profile will arrow nice and flush against the wall.

  • @LynxStarAuto
    @LynxStarAuto 11 лет назад

    I like it except for the cross bars. I would probably adapt removable locking pins to ease removal and installation of them. Seems like they are not needed only to raise and lower the car

  • @hasbeengood
    @hasbeengood 9 лет назад +4

    I agree with Cha Vang.... a bit cocky on the price! Should be ust a little over a grand.

  • @DanielNavas1
    @DanielNavas1 10 лет назад +1

    i don't think you mentioned anything about locks that engage when the car is raised. should this thing fail, whats stopping the car from falling on the garage mechanic? i think this is cool as fuck however i do think there are some issues with it. i think it could go about another foot higher and some more safety features need to be added and i also feel there should be a quick connect fitting to attach an air hose to and make the lifting process that much easier. cool invention but use my ideas in your later models and i bet you will be much happier with it.

    for around $2500 u can buy a 4 post lift that lets you work much higher. 1800 is a lot for something thats obviously meant for light home use, id say this is worth 800-1k. Wonder how long those threads on the raising mechanism will last before they fail.

  • @JP84CE1
    @JP84CE1 6 лет назад

    If you still have to use a creeper, what's the point?
    For $2K you could get a hydraulic mid-rise scissor lift, or 2-post lift, which would actually raise the car to a comfortable height.

    How is the other side going up when you turn the screw with the electrical drill? I did not see any shaft or a connection to the other side?

  • @huideyin4774
    @huideyin4774 10 лет назад +4

    at least you need double width of the car in your garage to insert it in.

    2 questions.
    #1 How much can it hold exactly?
    #2 Do the crossbars interfere with transmission removal or anything of the nature?

    This pretty god but how is it on safety? Does it have any locks that prevent accidental lowering? Can it be locked at any given hight? Thanks.

    • @xaytana
      @xaytana 9 лет назад

      I don't own this so I wouldn't know exactly, but by design it should 'lock' if the bolt isn't turned. I'm assuming the bolt requires some torque and doesn't have a slip clutch when over torqued. I think this is meant more for cars and not heavy trucks or suvs, but I haven't looked at specs on weight limitations.
      If they list weight limitations, don't exceed them, and you should be fine.

    • @Sjackson2369
      @Sjackson2369 9 лет назад

      hasbeengood i think it works like a worm and wheel gear set, the wheel can turn the worm, but the worm cant turn the wheel(or the other way around, ive probably got it backwards), and because of that its a self locking system. just my guess.

    • @xaytana
      @xaytana 9 лет назад

      Worm turns the wheel, wheel can't turn the worm due to rotational force trying to act as a linear force as if it was rack and pinion. But worm setups are extremely slow. For the size of gears that can be used in this, it has has either a very very long array of gears to change the ratio dramatically for a worm, or it doesn't use a worm. If it was a worm with no complex gearing, something that size would easily take hours to lift.
      But I doubt it's a worm setup, no need for it. I't probably just a gear meshed with a gear on one, or the set, of the legs.

    • @dav3fk
      @dav3fk 10 лет назад +4

      Ramps totally suck.
      This is way overpriced, but, as anyone who puts their car up and down knows.... it sucks, which is probably why most of us are here watching this - we have ramps, jacks, stands, etc, but they're no fun to work with, take time, and could feel safer. Lifts are awesome, and something like this with most of the benefits of a lift could be well worth investing in - just not this one, obviously.

    • @D4LM4R
      @D4LM4R 10 лет назад
