I love dogs more than ever especially the growling and biting kind they are totes more endearing. It's the side of the outdoor experience you learn to adore! I don't at all mind seeing a dog off a leash after my first dog bite encounter!
"I'm feeling really confident about getting a PB today. My training's been absolutely perfect, I'm in my best ever shape, got my nutrition spot on, conditions simply couldn't be better"
I hate when you know you have to use a toilet and as you pass one you think” Ah, it can wait until you get home” and when you pass it!!! All hell breaks loose!!! You go into panick mode and any thing that slightly looks like a bush will do
Hey guys I just ran my first Half! Looped your Half marathon Playlist before the day! All of your videos helped me a lot! Thank you so much for uploading! Kudos!
Only thing is I tend to have cake BEFORE the run on race day. I also tend to grab two medals after the race. One for the training leading up to the event and the other for the race.
I will respect and keep 50 mts behind that stranger running in front of me 🏃♂️.... 🏃🏻💨. Then you couldn't catch him/her and think... She is doing tempo run, doesn't matter... I'm on my easy run 🤣
"I love it when 12 year old kids running bare foot get there before me." (Well I do actually, happened to me in December). " I love it when really old people get there before me" (Well as I'm one of the really old guys, doesn't happen so much).
As a runner of 50 years, and as someone involved in race organisation, I can't stand competitors, who choose their races by looking at what medal they would prefer to have. Why someone wants a medal for loosing a race is beyond me.
Even though it’s 100 degrees, I think I’ll run this race anyway. I’m looking forward to cooking myself in this blistering heat & then being assisted to the first aid tent for a lecture on the importance of electrolytes & a lovely pamphlet all about heat stoke.
I do say I'm not going for a PB at parkrun, and I've decided not to apply for New York because of the cost, and I do sometimes think I've executed a race perfectly... I think these are things that some runners don't say
I do not agree about the fact you mentioned about the world marathon majors. Every second runner I know says that they are too expensive and too overcrowded and it is better to do smaller marathons where you can have just as much fun.
I wasn't sure where to go to find out about this.. I started running late summer 2019. I currently aim to do a parkrun and 5-10km a week extra. Currently at university so I can't do my usual cardio sport (mountain biking) much. The problem is I don't find running especially enjoyable because of how painful I find it, both during and afterward. I have a pair of running shoes and run on flat tarmac paths. My pain typically is in my lower calves especially, and my knees. Is this likely due to running technique, or could I not warming up properly or something?
I'm new in the running world and looking for proper shoes to run in, I'm a flat footer looking for the best shoe to prevent injury, is the Asics Kayano 26 a good option ? I heard good things about it, but I'd love a second opinion before purchasing them..
Ques to the toilets are crazy the one in cardiff winter warmer run last week was mental there was people still waiting for the toilet when the race had started
I love to run with large groups of people on the path, specially the dog walkers and their dogs who sometimes brakes loose from their owners and make a run at me, it makes me run faster!
The "I'm not going to talk about the benefits of running to my mental health..." comment really hurt me, because running does benefit my mental health and now I am embarrassed about saying it too often (?) does that make me both a bore and a snowflake (sic)?🤔
Not at all, it's so great to talk about the mental benefits of running as it could encourage others to start as well! These are the things that runners NEVER say! So we ALWAYS talk about the mental health benefits of running. It's really important to talk about it. So you are neither a bore nor a snowflake!

“I hope that other runner doesn’t ask me how far I’m going on my long run today.”
I love large groups of people spread out across the path. It's the obstacles that make running interesting!
Or one person and their dog, on the lead, on opposite sides of the path creating a nice tripwire for me to fall over.
The one where he stops after running exactly 300 miles in his shoes😂
I'll never tell anyone about the marathon I ran ever again, or work it into as many conversations.
👏that’s a great one!
And "I don't think I've mentioned it to anyone that I've signed up for/am training for a marathon"
Perfect
“that course was too flat - so boring!” is actually me though hahahah
Laura Jane mine is “I like hills” everyone thinks I’m mad 😂
Bethany Godfrey hahahha same!!
Laura Jane same things with road running! It’s so easy and when I started trail running I realised the impact on my knees.
Fully agree. Hills are part of the fun!
Laura Jane Me too! Plus no uphill = no downhill. No downhill = no opportunity to catch my breath and recover!
"No, I'm definitely not planning our vacation around a race!"
AmesTheName is it possible to travel without doing a marathon?
@@ackbar01 How would you even know where to go on vacation if it weren't for marathons?
"That stranger running the sidewalk is running perfectly and great running form! No need to secretly critique to myself what they could improve!"
"I don't need another pair of runners" and "my toenails look perfect"
"Oh, I love seeing walkers lined up at the front of the race. The more the merrier!"
"I'm feeling really confident about getting a PB today. My training's been absolutely perfect, I'm in my best ever shape, got my nutrition spot on, conditions simply couldn't be better"
Rachel Warren Wow. Spot on. Never said any of those lol.
These had me laughing out loud! I never talk endlessly about running to people who would only run if being chased by a bear.
“Of course my toenails are supposed to look like that!”
Toe nails
You have toenails?
What are those?😂

Now that I'm injured, I will have so much more free time to get other things done!
‘I’ll take it easy at Parkrun’ - proceeds every week to run their fastest pace to get a PB
“I love having shin splints!”
LoL! You could add: "I let it heal completely, before running again! (No stress fractures for me!)"
@@gyularadi3048 always 😉
I love running outside in winter time! Snow and ice are making the runs much more thrilling!
I dont want to talk about my injuries, diet or PBs! 😂
"Oh, I LOVE how my toenails look!"
When the parkrun email with my results pings on my phone I don't immediately check it out...
Race Director: Here's a beer for finishing the race.
Me: I'll pass. Too many carbs.
"I'm not going for a PB at Parkrun this week" HAHAHA dammit too true
Inspired by the course preview I ran this morning : "Oh, man, I *love it* when the highest hills in the race come around mile 20!"
I *love* being chased by unrestrained dogs. It adds to the excitement of my runs!
"There's way too many porta potties on this running route."

Ohhhh new running shoes, I’ll try them out next week 😳🦶
I don’t look into the Strava segments and efforts to see how fast I’ve been
“ Strava Segments? Nah. I don't plan my runs around them. I'm OK with being 11th " 🤣
"Sure I'll miss parkrun and come to your wedding"
"I'm so glad it's rainy and windy today! PERFECT running conditions!" that is me... I hate running when other people are also outside.
Love this channel, been binge watching loads of episodes, just gutted I'm injured at the mo and cant get back out there!!
after a satisfying long run "I regret doing that!"

I am sick of medals and bling! I have way too many. Most are in the back of a closet
Started running in September 2019 and already have 3 pairs of running trainers lol 🤔🤔🤔
Daniel Oliphant I started in August and I have three pairs as well. How funny!
I bough two nikes Jan 2019, did not run, gained weight. Now going to the mall to buy skechers. Hopefully will be used for running this time.
I've only started running properly like a couple months ago but this is already very relatable!! :D
Haha very glad to hear that!
I give this video 5 chuckles, two snort-laughs and a much too loud HA! 😄 Stopping at 300 miles, pfft!
I’ve just been overtaken by a bloke in an inflatable dinosaur suit. I don’t mind at all, it’s all for charity
For storm Ciara: "I really enjoy running in 80mph gusts!"
I never have to use the restroom in the middle of a run.
Internet says 3 weeks rest for shin splints, I ll do 4 weeks just to be on the safe side
Fantastic!!!! When the watch stops recording.... it sucks after miles, miles a way......😂🤣
And one from the tri’s - I just can’t wait to get home so I can wash the race number off my calf and shoulders 🤣
I do love it when a buggy pusher overtakes you during a Parkrun
"I love it when 12 year old kids running bare foot get there before me." (Well I do actually, happened to me in December).
" I love it when really old people get there before me" (Well as I'm one of the really old guys, doesn't happen so much).

😂😂😂you are so funny! Love these truths.
Thank you! 😂
I definitely don't speed up and check my form when I see someone coming toward me
As an avid runner who gets 600 miles out of his solitary pair of running shoes... I object in the strongest possible terms... etc :-)
Nah, I'd never put a spurt in just to beat that older guy that overtook me with 50 metres to go.
Even though it’s 100 degrees, I think I’ll run this race anyway. I’m looking forward to cooking myself in this blistering heat & then being assisted to the first aid tent for a lecture on the importance of electrolytes & a lovely pamphlet all about heat stoke.

I love my IT Band massaged I can realy relax.
I love taking time off to recover from an injury. 6 weeks of no running bliss.

the good old days!
Such a funny video - thanks for the great laugh folks.

"Comparison is the thief of Joy" - things runners never say
I was gonna comment which was my favorite line, but the list would be too long. So, just go with: all of them!😂😍
Minus 28 degrees at my parkrun today. Never thought of not running
I’m going on holiday to enjoy myself, not to go running
😂
I never get miffed when my family or friends make fun of my running....
"Wth am I doing, it's super super slow" on my easy runs
I can't agree with one of them.... I didn't want to enter for NY Marathon because of the $380+ entry fee.... Couldn't justify the cost :(
I do not agree about the fact you mentioned about the world marathon majors. Every second runner I know says that they are too expensive and too overcrowded and it is better to do smaller marathons where you can have just as much fun.
I'm still laughing 🤣🤣🤣!
Completed 26km long run yesterday - upload to Strava shows 25.99km - noooo! 😱
Wow when the GPS doesn’t record... my FAVOURITE!!
“ Nah I’m not injured”
whaaatt?? another new running shoes coming out soon? Alph*fl*... im not gonna buy it ( my nose getting longer)😿

Yep it’s ok you can throw away that old marathon finishers T-shirt
Just lost my strava KOM, I am not worried..nah.. I won't even try to get it back. Let the younger generation take it forward!

I've never eaten a gel just as a snack.
Are the paid strava features worth it? I'm kinda interested in the heart rate thing
I bought these [INSERT BIG NAME BRAND HERE] leggings from TK Maxx.

It was gooooood 😋 sadly the place it’s from in Brighton has closed down now 😔 (Anna)
I do actually think 1 pair of running shoes is enough, too damn expensive for more.

Wouldn’t it be nice if people didn’t have to pick up after their dogs. I mean built in obstacle training. 💩
The 9.9 k... I think ill round it up one haha had me going. Said no one ever

YES all of these.....
no, i don't really wan to tell you all my longest races, and my times.
5km marathon.... Just hearing that grinded my gears lok
🤣
I actually once did not take a medal after doing a 5K race.
I think my weekly mileage was too much to prepare for this marathon. I should cut back next time.
