My advice. Let the LEO exercise their poor judgement, then sue for excessive force. You can file a suit with the only recompense being court costs and lawyers fees, with the express purpose of helping that agency to weed out bad apples or understand their shortcomings in training. Just DO NOT EVER FIGHT BACK OR RESIST. That only makes problems for you
You may find out in court that someone on a similar bike just robbed a liquor store or something that you were passing by, and you happen to match the description enough to warrant a legitimate response.
Yes, there are some videos explaining this. It is no different than a regular self defense situation, using lethal force is justified - given you are in a state with no duty to retreat (Ohio in this case). That said, you will go through hell and back with court and the prosecution, and the burden of proof will be on you to show you were legitimately fearing for your life, and the cop’s actions indicated that. So the answer is could you? Yes. Should? Probably no.
Literally everyone talks about how these bikes can get you into trouble. I've had plenty of guns pulled on me by cops, on bikes, in cars, and walking. It has nothing to do with the bike. It has everything to do with the terrible situation we are in with police officers going unchecked for years.
If he had a carry license, the cops can see that with your license plate, in some states anyhow. I've never had a cop give a damn about my gun, but I'm always prepared for it. Not that what this cop did was OK, but he probably had the last 10 bikes run off on him and he didn't want to make the call that he lost another one.
What never ceases to amaze me though is the idea that the guy who pulled over, turned off his bike, and made no indication of running, yet still had a gun pulled on him. Like, all cops should understand by now that they're not catching a bike that doesn't wanna be caught lol. This dude had a plate clearly displayed and still got treated like shit
@Slyfoxx I see bikes pull over and wait for the cop to get out before hauling ass fairly regularly. I'm not saying that justifies the cop to draw down by any means, just that I can understand being keyed up.
If ten bikes ran, he should stop trying to pull them over. Not pull a gun on the eleventh. Good thing the police have you to defend their shitty actions as well as their buddies.
@demonstare1 I literally said drawing his weapon wasn't OK... If a gun comes out of the holster it should be aiming at a lethal threat, its not an intimidation tool. That said, the insinuation that cops should just allow people to get away with everything because sometimes people run is just stupid. Cops are people, their experiences shape how they react to situations, part of being a human. Sometimes that leads to inappropriate behavior, which needs to be addressed immediately.
It’s not always about putting “others” in danger. Some cops don’t want to see us kill ourselves either. Although, this cop sounds like he went too far.
Get the body camera and send it to The Civil Rights Lawyer lawyer on RUclips. Or tell him about it and he’ll get the body camera video. Definitely a lawsuit if it’s just how you said. 💯
Why would you pull over where there is no one on the road and doesn't have camera on your helmet, even police can f*ck you up when there is no witness or video.
I really would like to talk about this with an American to know a deeper point of view. I'm from Europe and in my opinion this is totally justified. If you do that you are totally aware you can easily kill someone, even if the road is "empty", because you can't see the future and cant know how will be the road in the next miles. Worst if you ride at such speed. The solution is so easy: go to a track, run and enjoy as much as you can. In my country if a cop catch up you doing that, you will go to jail. Sorry for my english, it's not even my second language.
Says the same dude who was calling the cops crazy for saying they saw him on a red ducati going 140 and then later uploading the footage going 140 on a red ducati ☠️🤦
No offence, but I’m just going to take this story with a grain of salt after the other times you would say stuff against cops… Only to debunk yourself in later videos…
1) No other cars =\= no one at danger. It’s dark, you don’t know who could be out walking 2) Dude immediately pulls over and starts reaching at night? Wasn’t the bike, cop thought he had a gun. Wait until you’re approached and told to get something to do it
Americans will see a video like this and probably lose their mind ruclips.net/user/shortsJhmBJ_xM9aE?si=sImcZtP589b0Birj Imagine a world where policing can be effective, aggressive and still have a good outcome for all involved lol
For those who don’t know, depending on his speed this stop was 100% legal though not justified pulling a man off his bike. It’s a felony traffic stop, in that moment you are looked at as a felon. I had 2 guns pointed at me and all my passengers one night going 102 in a 55 you will more often than not have a gun pointed at you while getting detained for felony speeds.. go the speed limit or keep it moving if you don’t want to face the consequences.
This is why America is fucked cops threatened peoples lives over speeding and it's also excessive force used so many American police are found guilty of using excessive and unnecessary force and then the person wins the lawsuit
"oh my god he's putting himself in a danger I must stop him first"
😂😂😂

@@raymondcarter4335 Never heard of anyone robbing a store on a motorcycle but okay.
Hang on, your advice is to let it happen, and then sue for just enough to cover the cost of proceedings?
That cop played too much police video games
You should consider a thunderace. Crazy underrated bike
NOT EVAN!!! He’s our favorite.
“A little bit faster than over the speed limit” is a crazy statement 😂
In this situation if the cop shoots first do you have the right to defend yourself
no idea
No
@SludgedB yes, acually

No, how old are you?

This. it’s not just targeting motorcycles, it’s anything that trigger happy cops decide is “scary”
I know this is going to sound bad but first u oke man ?
Second: u black ?
Isn’t it illegal for a cop to do that?
cops investigated themselves to find no wrong doing
Yes it is
@@thoughtakenreal thorough and unbiased investigation I’m sure
Cops aren't typically prone to follow the laws they enforce.

You’ve come such a long way! Love how positive you are! Keep up your amazing content

America.
Reminds me of the time the police beat up a guy and arrested him for putting out a fire in his own home.

Sounds like the cop thought evan was reaching for a gun, and the cop panicked
Is Evan even real?
If you're going a certain speed over the speed limit they do pull their guns on you. It depends how fast he was actually going
Has to be reckless. Likely 20+ over the posted limit.
Why would you pull over where there is no one on the road and doesn't have camera on your helmet, even police can f*ck you up when there is no witness or video.
You “know” another guy who had a gun pulled on him by a cop while on his bike sitting still in backed up traffic
That’s why I don’t stop!
its the tinted crown vic of bikes...
And they wonder why we run
I'd tell them to get a grip then

Wow. What city was that cop from ?
On my r1 I get it I go fast but I love going fast but during the day I keep it chill at night is where the fun’s at
Cool story. Must have forgot to turn the camera on this time.
easy sue or not?
Tell me you’re American without telling me you’re American 😂
@nunyabusiness4682 in fact, im not, but pulling a gun because of yes is pretty intolerant
Need a lawyer and fast..
Unpopular opinion…R1’s are overrated
First time I got pulled over he had another unit meet him and the dude stood there the whole time with my keys and a his gun in his hands
Not old is awesome bike
😂 Little bit faster got me but for real eve if there wasn't any care or just a few why point a gun to a biker?
What i dont get if a random guy pulled you over and pulled a gun on you, you would have every right to defend yourself but if a cop does it...
Maybe it’s an Evan thing minus the gun point. Cops hate my R1
Lawsuit
Looks like Evan will be getting the same payout you did
Sue his ass I wish Evan luck lol
I think that’s the only thing ppl talk abt w liter bikes on the road no?
Says the same dude who was calling the cops crazy for saying they saw him on a red ducati going 140 and then later uploading the footage going 140 on a red ducati ☠️🤦
Link?
Please tell me Evan got the persons badge number?
what cop has ever said freeze
i feel like that’s almost comical
“FREEZE!”
This makes 0 sense. The cop didn’t pull his gun out cause he was scared of an r1. That’s doesn’t even sound right
Lies 😂😂😂
Video evidence? Otherwise this just sounds far-fetched to make content.
