    I definitely prefer red switches because I need to use them at night when people are sleeping and they still feel nice upon pressing

      @@melaniaslatan1177 I have a CyberPower Skorpion K2 and I hated the sound of it. I put some purple o rings (from my Cooler Master keyboard kit) and it has reduced the sound a bit. I won the keyboard btw and it didn't say what type it was, it's also an American keyboard and I'm from the UK.

    my first mechanical keyboard is blue switch and honestly i love it, at first i hated the sound but now i kinda love it... the feel is amazing compared to membrane keyboard , i will never go back

    get the Reds or Blues, it's either smooth and quiet or clicky and tactile.. Browns feels awkward.. theres abump but no sound, feels like theres dust in there thats making the gritty feeling.

    Im new to keyboards, what does it mean if it is ‘tactile’ ?

      No worries at all you spelled it just right. It's basically the pushback your receive when you press against the key. The more tactile it is the more resistance you will feel (relatively). The more linear it is the less resistance you will generally feel.

      @@SoulOfTech OHHHHH that explains alot cuz i got red switches because it was recommended for gaming however i constantly press space accidentally mid games because i usually let my thumb rest on the spacebar (im usually used to laptop keyboards so that pressure was never enough to press down the spacebar) however with red mechanical switches the keys go down extremely easily and tbh im not much of a fan as almost nothing feels intentional as much as it is accidental because the slightest touch triggers the the key, now im sure thats a good thing for ultra precise gaming but i think i would like blue switches more as they feel more intentional with every key

      @@mich1904 Get wooden wrist rest. It should solve the issue, as your palms will be supported, it brings down force from idling fingers.

      @@kilosera well tbh i already switched to blue switches, and i already like those better, it was more of a feeling as well, linear felt to smooth to press down too much tbh that it wasnt to my liking, like i mentioned nothing felt intentional. i can confirm that tactile blue switches has solved that issue for me.

      The one your most comfortable with is the best you should try blue and red switch both and decide afterwards you might be able to find both in a gaming cafe

      oh, those bumps are is what makes it called "tactile" like a crunch or snap but i think the reds dont have those cuz yk its smooth

    i probably gonna get a keyboard with brown switches because obivious blue is too loud. I tried red swtichies at my friend's gaming keyboard i like that its quiet but i dont feel like pressing it. When i used the keyboard it confused me so much. i dont know about brown keys but its look like something i might like it. i just want something quiet and makes me feel when pressed

      nope tactile have more feel to them and mostly have more space to press and have more sound to it as well. linear is faster to action and quite

      Don't. They're shite. My roccat 121 aimo broke in 6 months. Switches slowly started malfunctioning and non responsive over time. I'm fucking struggling to type on it right now. I had the Ryos MK Pro which is still flawless after 7 years, which is why i wentt for this 121 aimo. Worst mistake.

      I am guessing you are reffering to membrane keyboards. Just look for any keyboard that does not mention mechnial or optical. Usually membrane keyoards are dirt cheap and can be found at your local tech store or amazon.

      i am doing wfh, i guess red switches doesn't offer any special benefit than membrane, it's just the keys go down that's it, is blue switches really noisy, i want the tactile feel but in 2k no keyboard offering brown keys , any suggestion

      @@jeebanjyotinayak6826 Reds might bee too light without properly sized wrist rest (you will press keys by just resting fingers). Blues are noisy but honestly every mechanical keyboard is noisy, reds too. If you want quietness membranes and maybe Cherry scissor switches are the way to go.

      Not all red switches are the same also mechanical switches are louder then their non mechanical counter parts no matter which type you get generally speaking.

    Then you've got about 300 different linear switches sounding anywhere from clacky to thoccy to creamy.... None of those use blue brown or red XD

      There's a slight difference between the two. Razer green switches take a little bit more force to actuate.

    As having a blue switch mechanical, buy if you like the clicky sound but when you are wearing headphones most of the time you will not listen the sound, i have no regrets(23$ worth it), the tactile feeling is great you cant get back to normal keyboard after using mechanical keyboards

      @@vosvee1566 I hear you. Tactility is a characteristic. However brown switches are often referred to as “tactile”. I used both in a mutually exclusive manner. The names of the switches weren’t chosen or made by me so I cannot comment that.

      They can be very helpful for people with weak muscle memory as well as people who need an acoustic validation when typing rapidly the tactility + sound provide a high degree of key stroke validation. Of course on that note they are the least favourable for high APM gaming due to the added resistance from the bumps.
