    I still don’t understand why you never eat anything fresh and hot. It doesn’t give the food/creators a fair chance, of course cold, hardened pizza isn’t going to taste good, regardless of where it’s from. There wasn’t even a cheese stretch.

      And its not Only whit this pizza recipe, he always do the food, let it get stone cold and then eat it, of course its not going to taste nearly as good as freshly made, cold ass stale pizza, sure, that's going to be a fair judgment, specially whit fried foods, they start getting stale as soon they loose temperature in the fucking plate

      Almost anything is good when its hot. A true good pizza is how does it taste cold after an hour or so and the next day. Also how does that pizza taste dipped in blue cheese.

      Michael Prokop but nobody is going to make a pizza and go “alright time to eat this in 3 hours”, they eat it immediately. That’s literally the point of that 3 minute pizza for example, you come home from work late, quickly whip something up, eat and go to bed.

      He also has to account for the whole filming. Just the changing of camera angle from the stove shot to the eating shot takes some time. Well, pizza sauce IS usually raw. Whole canned tomatoes, don't ask me why, but I've tested this versus crushed and cubed, have the better, more rounded flavour in several preparations. 2 cloves of garlic, a few leaves of basil and blend.
    Now, the trick to doing pizza at home without any of the gizmos (cast iron pan, pizza stone/steel, etc...) is this: do it in stages.
    What makes for a fail is trying to cook everything at once, without having the super hot pizza oven.
    In a regular oven, the fatty ingredients will just coat everything in fat, as they heat up. and prevent water evaporating out of the other ingredients, if one tries to cook everything at once...
    So, next time, try this: sauce your dough and put any ingredients on your pizza which need to cook, but won't release any fat (onion rings, mushrooms, olives, etc.) , then put it, as low as it will physically go, into a pre-heated, maxed out oven (full whack, bottom and top heat with fan assist) for 8 to 9 minutes.
    Take it out, add the cheeses (and anything else you may want on your pizza) and put it back in the centre of this, screaming hot, oven for another 10-12 minutes
    Trust me, it results in a better pizza than any of those "trick" methods.

    When grinding meat you get the best result when your grinder and meat is cold. I usually put the grinder in an ice bath in the fridge and stick the meat in the freezer for 20mins to firm up. Also with the dough you should try and keep your salt and yeast separate as the salt can stop the yeast from working effectively.

    The 3 minute pizza (apart of the store bought dough) resembles the Montanara pizza we cook at Napoli. And it's quite delicious.
    But nothing beats our fried pizza.👌 Any Italians here that love pizza fritta as well?

    Actually David, just so you know. In Italy there is a deep fried pizza sold as street food everywhere in the cities. They're sold at food carts just like your hot dog stands (I think that's what's similar that you guys have). And it uses a different dough to what you were using (it tastes amazing) I'd say closer to a flatbread. So the only part that our eyes should be closed for is the store bought pizza dough (And if I'm being completely honest with myself, the 90 minute proofed dough as well). I'm a firm believer that pizza dough needs to proof for a MINIMUM of 24 hours. But, David, you should definitely look into the deep fried pizza street food. It's basically a good brunch food or hangover food due to it being easy, fast, and greasy.

    The process of 3 day pizza or longer is unique because the longer you ferment the dough the better the flavor and the longer you ferment the dough you get almost sour dough like flavor thus it has more water content in it, the yeast is "feeding" on those good sugars from the dough and the end product is closer to what you get in a standard pizza place. And please man stretch the dough more and also the pizza should be tasted warm or hot not cold... Anyway keep up the good work as always!

    Okay dude.. waiting for to proof as 3 day process allows your dough to ferment, therefore develop flavor. It’s why you let it proof twice...

    • @haythe-u3m
      @haythe-u3m 4 года назад

      The difference is that this is a taste test video and way the food tastes depends entirely on how hot/cold/old it is. It completely changes the video. Not to mention, he's been doing it the same way for 3+ years and people have been commenting about it incessantly, yet he refuses to listen to the comments and make positive changes. People coming to the video hoping to see a fair taste comparison have a right to be upset.

    The first one was awful. Like even ignoring the fried pizza dough, you can’t just put parm on bread and then say it’s pizza. Parm by itself doesn’t work with pizza because it is too strong and acidic and doesn’t balance the sauce

  • @Littlemanloki
    @Littlemanloki 3 года назад +1

    The amount of people here getting their panties in a bunch because David ate the pizza cold is hilarious 🤣
    If a pizza isn’t as good when it’s cold as it is when it’s hot, then the pizza just isn’t that good, maybe mediocre at best. Of course other dishes are probably better hot than cold, but pizza is just one of those exceptions where it should be at least as good cold as when it’s hot.

    Hey, you could have 1 slice once it’s just done and another to compare them all at once later. It would fix everyone’s problems with you not eating them immediately. I don’t really mind because as long as your eating them all cold it is still a good comparison.

  • @Wintersandman
    @Wintersandman 3 года назад

    All these people complaining about not eating pizza when it is hot. Pizza is meant to be cold and peeled out of a cardboard box the morning after it was cooked to help recover from drinking night before. Get a massive hangover then compare :).
