  • La Boca, Cabarete is one of the few off-the-beaten-path attractions in this town. The beauty of this destination is raw, cultural, and unique.
La Boca means "the mouth" and is where the Yasica river crosses the country and meets the Atlantic ocean. Throughout the year and depending on the swells that reach this gorgeous beach, La Boca, Cabarete looks different every time you visit. The few constants of this place are the driftwood lining the shore, the restaurant on the other side of the river mouth, and the area to park in. Some factors that can change what the river mouth looks like.

    Wilson's Restaurant
At Wilson's, the restaurant is on the other side of the river mouth, you can eat the catch-of-the-day cooked in the classic Dominican way, over driftwood fire collected from the area. Once you get to the river mouth you can wave down the small motor boats and they will come and collect you and bring you across the river to the restaurant. What's offered is mostly fried fish, shellfish, and chicken served family style with rice, beans, plantains, salads. There is space for big groups or small to eat under the cana roofs (thatched with palms) and your toes in the sand watching where the river meets the ocean.
La Boca is a beautiful destination to experience Dominican cuisine, culture, landscape, and nature.
