Man, So much better than most of the DIYs on yt. This is what I want to try and achieve.
Appreciate it man! If you have any questions or tips hmu on Instagram
@@thekolbyward I'll get some photos or a video of my project at some point. I'm trying to polish the lip on a set of wheels with polished lip, painted center. Originally cleared lip, but its all shot. Quite a chore.
@@nicholasmiller8508 I just now saw this reply back lol. I'm sure they came out good
Great job man, best how to I’ve seen on RUclips. I would have liked to hear the wine of the machine against the wheel.
Appreciate it brother!
You are an artist. Thanks for sharing this.
I’m working on the same set of wheels today and it’s PITA!!! Lol they haven’t been polished in YEARS
I hate getting wheels that haven’t been polished since they bought them. Just means more time and money for them to come out perfect!
Good video boss! You got a good process keep it up dawg✊🏾💯
Appreciate it bro! Learning something new everyday and how to get better 😎
Yoo i didnt know you had a channel buddy! Nice ima clean mine like these!
Yeah I do lol
Amazing looks like chrome, great job
Thank you!
Thanks for the video. I bought these products for a pontoon boat project I'm doing. Looking forward to getting started now. Thanks again!!
That’s awesome man. I’m sure that thing will come out sick! I’ve always wanted to do a pontoon boat
@@thekolbyward you're more than welcome to come do ours and video it. Hahahaha. I'll drink beer and smoke some food!!
Very good video! Nice work!
Thank you sir!
Loved the video. Great job very informative!
Thanks brother I appreciate the support!
Nice work 💎
I appreciate it man
Great job, wheels look amazing. What did you use to clean the backside of the wheels?
I used an acid to whip them down. I don't really like to suggest acid unless you've used it before since it is really easy to burn the wheels if you leave it on for too long. Sometimes I just use an iron remover depending on how bad the brake dust is.
Awesome video man! extremely helpful
This is awesome brodie 🔥🔥
Very good easy to follower Video!....Question, after all that work, do you advise coating them with a ceramic coating as a sealer / protector or do you advise against it? With all the craze on the ceramic coating don't want to run with the crowd if you know what I mean.
Thank you brother! Honestly, sealing the wheels just makes it more work for a polisher. The aluminum will eventually start to oxidize under it and turn a yellowish brown color and the polisher will have to sand the wheel completely before polishing. I recommend a good wash and hand polish every couple weeks depending on where you live.
@@thekolbyward Thanks Bro!
keep'em coming bro!
Jonah Hill 😅 polishing now 🙏💪
I thought i was only one who noticed it.. 😂
Man grab that blue moon rouge from zephyr for that fianl color with flannel. Youll love it. Either that or the show shine wheel and blue moon
I’ve used both and what I’m using in my opinion has the best finish for me. But yes the blue moon does leave a nice finish as well! The show green that I’ve got from another dude that polishes for a living works wonders.
@@thekolbyward yep that show green is from Evans I’d bet. But the best guy I’ve found to deal with is Cody Caliva at SicRigz!! You won’t be disappointed in anything he’s got to offer!!
Funny that you knew it was from Evan lol. I use a bunch of his products and zephyrs. I’ll definitely have to check him out bro!
awesome video bro
I appreciate it man! Been wanting to do a video like this for awhile
I usually have a hard time on my spokes, how hard of pressure do you keep so it doesn’t bounce all over the place? Or any tips on controlling it
Not going to lie when I first started polishing, the spokes were the hardest and I always did them last since I spent the most time on them. I keep like a medium kind of pressure on them and do even passes. I also tap the trigger when close to the edges instead of going wide open since the wheel catches and wants to jump out of your hand. Hope this helps!
Curious, what do you charge to do a set? I have been building my skill on my personal set of wheels and now would like to do others.
I charge minimum $400 a set. This also varies on what condition they are, but a decent set I start at $100 a rim unless they need curb rash or sanding and at that point it all depends on what your time is worth. Hope this helps!
Beautiful work
Thank you brother!
Where do you get that bar our green Mas I think he called it and where do you get those big buffer wheels
Its products by Zephyr
Renegade products, zephyr Polishes
Great video
Can you do a video on how to sand/ remove curb rash?
Yes sir! I've actually got a video coming out in the next week or so of a set I fixed the curb rash on
I put acid on wheels mann and it looks very foggy will this fix this ?
Yes sir. Just need to cut and color
Love the video brother! What is that extension piece you used on your buffer wheel. It looks like a chrome socket of sorts so you have more space? Can’t find any info on it
Thank you brother! I bought that extended 2” shaft on Amazon a few years ago and cannot find it either anymore. I believe I have another extended shaft on Amazon in the description. Thank you for the support!
Any tip for a beginner ? I just don’t want to mess up my very first set of forged wheels
Make sure you’re raking your buffs when the compound clumps, apply enough compound, and take your time and really get a feel for the grinder and how fast your moving along. It took me 5 years to get good at it
Appreciate for taking your time to reply now I have another what’s the best brand of grinders out there ?
What do you use to sand down some over spray on the wheels before you polish???
What do you mean by over spray? I try not to sand unless I have to take out pitting or fix curb rash
Did you polish the center caps as well? And if you did how bro?
I took some hand polish and a micro fiber and hand polished them
Where did you get all you equipment from and buffer pads
Links are in the description
my forces are rusting my buddy got me some hand polish and used it and alot of the rust came off but still alittle bit what should i do just wetsand with some high sand paper?
id recommend hitting them with a buff and compound but maybe do a finer grit of sand paper
thekolbyward I hit them with some compound took a good chunk off clean then hit them with 600-1000-1500 sand paper now they are super smooth got all the rust off and waiting for my buddy to drop off his polishing compound and polisher hopefully it cleans up and I get the mirror look back when I got the wheels the owner never cleaned them they were rough!
Man I wish you could do mine!
If you were down in Florida I would 100% would!
@@thekolbyward GA…South GA
How long does it take you to finish a set that size?
2-3 hours depending on what condition they are in roughly
so much work for wheels that cost as much as a used car
It's not too bad once you know what you're doing lol
I bought the same harbor freight polisher but you forgot to tell us we need an extension and where to buy one ??thanks

@@thekolbyward thank you I really appreciate it take care
Would you mind linking the Harbor Freight polisher your using? The one you linked is a $187.00 DeWalt
Can you do a video of how you put the wheel and safety flanges on?
I will be making a video this week unboxing products and demonstrating how to use and put the wheels on
@@thekolbyward sweet I’m looking foward too it!
You still doing wheels....I'm in brevard county...trying to find fair pricing...
Yes sir
🔥🔥🔥🔥
What did you use on back side
Either an acid or iron remover
Were from?
I’m in south Florida
Get my really good to me I wish you could do mine
The whole video was like” make sure this is a wheel compound oh yea i use this one and apply a small so i use my wheels to make a also make sure the compound doesn’t get and just like that we are done thanks for watching”
Are you even speaking English? In the video I talk about the products I use and how I polish a set of wheels. Clearly you and I aren't watching the same video and you can't even generate a sentence. Word of advice, if you're going to comment on someone's video make sure it makes sense before you hit enter LOL
Your not making any sense

I tried to form a sentence, but then I got high.
No one understands my comment on youtube, because I got high.
I tried to make a good point, and failed because I got high,
I shouldn’t be commenting on videos and I know why, why man,
because I got high, because I got high, because I got highhh.
Youre not doing it right
Hey buddy is there a way I could get your number or email so I can talk to you on how to do this to my wheels I bought a kit today and did 1 wheel and it looked nothing like when you get done with them😂 idk what I’m doing wrong
