Zhang intends for Elliot to die once his work for the Dark Army is complete. In a panic that Elliot might die, Tyrell calls used car salesman and Dark Army agent Irving. Elliot wakes up a week later in a room with Angela. He finds the firmware hack building empty. Darlene shows up and pumps him for information, but he lies and says Tyrell was never involved. With the power still out, she takes him to an underground hacker tournament with fiber connections. Thinking his revolution made things worse, he asks Angela for a job at E Corp to fix things. That night, Mr. Robot emerges and Angela takes him to work with Irving and Tyrell, creating another way to advance Stage 2.

"How could I be lying to him... I'm literally looking right at him" and the shot of Elliot is top three moments of all time in the series for me. It's so re-grounding and its so seamless, I don't know why I just loved that moment.
Seeing Angela talk that way about the future knowing she is thinking about her deceased Mother coming back to life is heartbreaking. She is completely indoctrinated at this point, and I had no idea at the time. This series is a masterpiece.

I'm a big fan of the Chromatics as well as the Drive (2011) soundtrack so Mr Robot feels like a nice continuation of that

Mr Robot is talking about the Mastermind. "Everything we do he will slow us down"
That was clear since the episode aired. What I found interesting though was he saying "while he exists". At the time we thought he wanted to destroy Elliot and take over, but now we know what he really meant.
Qnd he literly Co tradicts himself.if he wantet to take over that theory never made much sense becaus he for instance was asking why someone would hurt elliot

I finished the show about 3 days ago.
I have never been so entranced by a scene as when Angela was divulging her motives. The acting, the lighting, the camera angle, the music. Just so amazing. I felt like I was tripping. I have been sober for nearly 2 years, and nothing in that time has created within me that ethereal/surreal feeling I had while using. This did it. Don’t know why or exactly how, but wow. Mind blowing.

The sound at 5:28 sounds a lot like the carrier wave you hear on the come-up with DMT?
0:43 I love how the shadow on Mr. Robot's face makes him so sinister. Almost like he's frowning.
Also note when the light fades away from Mr. Robot's face Rami Malik's silhouette is faded in.

God, the audio engineering on this show is amazing.
Truly. I recently got a really good pair of headphones, and wow. Watching this show with them has made me notice so many insane audio details. Beautiful. I truly notice something new to love about this show on every single rewatch.

I feel like Angela's version of Justice started when the beat @9:02 but her Justice was just a Touch...a Sweet Touch... P.S Does anyone know if they actually turned off the Cities power or Just on that street to film this part of the scene? I really would like to think they did that would be so amazing
Just the street, that would be cool but they couldn't turn off the whole city's power, cg would be easier
This show has absolutely no business being as good as it is.
This scene is the cornerstone of how a good character development is done. Seeing how Angela hope for her life to be same as it was with her mother alive is heartbreaking. Even she herself know that it isn't possible but whiterose showed her a world of possibilities and she believed it because she wanted to. We all believe in something. We all cling to a world way beyond we know we might never get to go there. And when she realises what she's done it's like her life had ended. She became the one she geared up to destroy, on of their envoy.
The whole show is like that everyone is believing in something they think is a wonderland, a place of belonging and happiness but in reality it's just another prison they have created for themselves, a fable of a lost time, lost dreams, of irreparable damage and unbearable longings.

literally almost everyone (except darlene and krista) hated elliot so much they wanted to see him suffer...even angela.
And it's weird there's sometimes an opposite effect going on with villains. Vera's the obvious one but there's others like the prison warden played by Craig Robinson with his closing speech to Elliot

Yes, the story finished. There was going to be a 5th season but Sam Esmail & everyone else behind the show decided that they'd only need 1 more season to properly conclude it.

I think this show, even though it wasn't as popular, was far ahead of its time. I think people will realize what a master piece this show truly is..
Looking back, the song choice for this episode is beautiful, I mean without any spoilers it paints a very distinct picture of what is "real" and isn't and what we think feels real. Maybe im being overemotional but hard to put into words.

It's not always easy to tell, because the line between some alters can be blurry, but there are differences, body langage, prosody, the way you look at things, your facial expressions...

So at this point it's pretty clear that every main character is actually internal in Elliot. The FBI, Dark Army, etc. The lights simply cannot come on with the passing of the bus. The lights never went out to begin with. Man I need to actually watch the show instead of bingeing these clips.... *facepalm*
Yeah it took me three Clips to figure out the there's like something wrong with him like multiple personality disorder or something everything's happening in his head and like 90% of it is not real
