All currently known information:
- This sample was recorded by “mart87” off a radio in 1995.
- The band likely hadn’t performed before, as they don’t get very close to the microphone (most noticeably during the riff).
- Due to the amateur recording and performing, the lyrics are unintelligible other than “buddy holly” and “I don’t care.”
I believe the part before the riff says, "what's the matter, hey, are you feeling blue," But i cannot tell all that well.
I can hear “oh oh, and you’ll marry Tyler” after the buddy holly part
@@dontstealmycontentplease I'm pretty sure it's more like "Oh-oh, and you're there, we tried for more".

@@yoshifan33this doesn't make a lot of sense, but I hear "and you're Mary Tyler Moore" as in the actress who had her own sitcom in the 70s?

Unknown Song "I Don't Care"
idk why everyone assumes they're saying Buddy Holly, to me it sounds like they're saying bunny harley
They were. Bunny Harley is the name of the classic rock n roll singer who died in a horse drawn carriage crash in 1959 along with musicians Justin “The Small Popper” Bieber and Eugene Ermentraut Valens. This day later became known as “The Night The Music Became Deceased”. The following decade a musician by the name of Walter White wrote a song inspired by this event called “Iranian Cake” which topped the Williamboard charts and went on to be covered by Billy Shears, formerly of The Rutles.
Has Buddy holly though he was popular trough the 1950-early 1980s so it’s more likely to be him
@@cboisandlin9601The Rutles are overrated imo
I did some research and this is a song from some obscure rock group called goat punishment that formed in 1994 after some guy named curtis rivers quit another band and decided to form a different band, the members of goat punishment consisted of Curtis Rivers on guitar and lead vocals, Brian Cropper on bass, Matthew Wilson on guitar and backing vocals, and Mikey Shriner in drums
Goat punishment released three albums, their self titled debut album (also known as the turquoise album), songs from the white void, and what some consider to be their best album, Bickerton but they Eventually decided to break up in 1998 after Curtis Rivers tragically died of food poisoning,
Now this song "Buddy Holly" is actually an outtake from the recording sessions of their first album and wasn't released, because after listening to playback of the song, Curtis Rivers realized it was the worst song he had ever heard, and decided to destroy the master tape, and made a truce with the other band members not to tell anyone about this song
24 years after the death of Curtis Rivers, the only living member of Goat Punishment, Mathew Wilson decided to leak part of the infamous "Buddy Holly" on the internet Because in his words "the world has waited long enough, I am the only member of Goat Punishment left alive, Curtis Rivers is dead, we have finally been noticed by mainstream audiences, and I need money to pay my rent"
I thought this was the North-California band Pavement that had a couple hits in the mid 90s? That or it kinda sounds like Guided By Voices that were in the same scene at the same time but from Western Ohio.

probably this is some obscure indie grunge band
To me, this sounds like the song "Creepy Holly", released by Radiohead, an obscure band which started releasing music in the early 1990s named after the fact that their lead singer, Rivers Yorke, had a radio for a head. It was featured on their debut album, Pablo Blue. It'd become their biggest hit, and Yorke would gradually grow to hate it, to the point where he wrote the song Tired of Iron Lung featured their second album, The Pinkertons. The hatered would gradually grow to the point where the band would stop playing the song live entirely for years, making it finally fall into complete obscurity, which is probably why you don't remember it
I wonder what would happen if I added an S behind your username
@@beuwm why would you do that
S@@cathacker13 I was just wondering
In an alternate universe nobody knows the name of Blind The Wind while this song is a huge hit.
After some research the only possible lead I found is that this could be a demo song from a band called Wheezer or something like that. Apparently they were planned to debut around the mid 90s with an album but due to the death of one of their band members the band disbanded. Some other demo CDs from the album (not fully) were leaked and they sound eerily similar so I think that could be a possible lead!
EDIT: After more digging I'm pretty sure this is correct! A near complete CD box featuring a cover with 4 men standing on a blue background was uncovered featuring a song titled "Buddy Holly". The case did not have a CD in it however it did contain a track list and lyrics for all of the songs, and the lyrics for "Buddy Holly" match the ones in this clip! The Lyrics in this part:
What's the matter babe are you feeling sick
What's the matter (x3) you
What's the matter babe are you feeling blue
(and that's for all time)
OO wee OO I look just like Buddy Holly
Oh and you're Mary Tyler Moore
I don't care (what they say about us anyway)
Hopefully the full song can be found...
EDIT 2: After looking more into the tracklist the songs credit a Rivers Cuomo and a Jason Cropper, maybe somehow we can get in contact with them and ask them?
Guessing the lyrics:
where are where are where are you
where are you are you peopleee!!!

What's that line at the end? "Oo-wee-oo I look just like Buddy, Holly. Woah-oh, and you'll marry Tyler Moore?" I guess Holly is some woman the singer knows and he's saying she'll marry someone they both know named Tyler Moore (was that a minor celebrity in 1994 or something?)
man that guitar solo is so good i wish we had the full song
I think this is generated by AI but I'm not sure. If it turns out to be real, then the cassette from 29 years ago then the sound state of the tape is deteriorated, and that would make the voice less understandable than it already is. Sorry but it would be funny if in the end they were playing a joke on us and wasting our time searching.

I know what this is. My grandfather used to play it on an old record player when i was young. Its a German marching song he liked. he fought in World War 2 in the 5th Jäger Division primarily on the Western front during the war. This is a rock cover of that marching song. Its about a German soldier who takes home a Japanese bride and faces judgement by his comrades. The opening like is "Was mit diesem freunden meine fraulein dißen?" which translates to "what's with these homies dissing my girl?"
I did a bit of research, and I think the singers name is Brian Tell.
