Love the Speedroid content whenever it drops! In the interest of discussion, here’s some ideas I had for how some hands could have played out differently. 2nd hand: (11:40) I think I would have rolled for wheel pitching den den first, and then depending on the result you make early Baronne or not. The thing with early negates is you usually make them to protect your combo, but if by doing so you risk not having a combo at all, what is the point of it? If they ash wheel, you still have the other Den + FFB to combo off; if they don’t, you keep going and don’t make an early Baronne, seeing as how the 2 isn’t enough to pop off. Either way, you get to keep the Dupli and make some board presence. 3rd hand: At the point where you resolved Rubber Band (23:00) there’s some stuff I would have done differently. I agree using Car and Marble to make a Hagoita, but especially with Crossout in hand if you’ve made it that far there’s no point in hindering your own plays to go around HTs. Nothing is that dangerous at that point other than Nibiru and you have the out. I say normal the other Marble, get Tak, then use Den-Den to bring the CarTurbo back. It’s now or never for Nib, as you have the levels for Baronne on field. If there’s nothing there, you can Tak and tag into Piper, excavate 4, and use Hagoita + Marble + Car for Baronne, revive Hagoita and make Shenshen with Piper. Alternatively you can use Tak after Baronne but only excavate 2. If you’d rather make Crystal instead of Shen, you can summon a Den-Den from Tak for the follow-up. Either way, it guarantees a Baronne on field plus your choice. 6th hand: When you tag the Take (40:30), you could go for Dice, make Wheel a 5, and that alone makes you Crystal Wing + Baronne with Hagoita in grave, and if the combo gets stopped you can use the Car in hand to go for Rubber Band. Anyway, really love the work! Regardless of how you play them, Speedy bois are best bois
Hello, good ideas for Speedroid, I played the deck years ago and luckily in this last national one I was top 32. Actually, my list is very different from yours due to certain tastes, but the economy of my country also has a great influence, which is a complete disaster and that is why it was impossible for me to get cards like Baronne, and so I am very satisfied with the result already that I have also been winning in the local of my city. The truth is that I love the deck, I feel that cards like Wynn and Scratch give it a lot of consistency and make your opening hands almost never get stuck, I also play 2 Dice, I think it is essential for Roulette and not to run out of tuners in the deck and with Scratch it is not so annoying to see them. I wanted as much consistency as possible to summon Cosmic Blazar Dragon and the cards I mentioned plus Pilica and Teleport made everything possible. Anyway, good video friend, greetings!
Happy to see speedroid back, a deck near to my heart. Gave me a couple tops in non-meta tournaments, and could have gotten a better result in others if I didn't misplay.
Not sure if you're still playing the griffon rider, but if you're on crossout in the main deck then you might want to consider it since it also doubles as a crossout target against adventurer decks. I've been on crossout in the main for a while now since I never played the aurorodon line, and there are multiple times where I've used crossout to banish a griffon against an opponent attempting to negate something on my board. I get that harpie dragon is slightly more flexible, but having the griffon as a crossout target in addition to a starter is pretty valuable imo
No, mainly because while fire blast can act as a bridge, it is still at the cost of an extender in hand, as well as an overall minus 1. I also don't think turbo'ing out terrortop is the play either.
@@WinterKillz Yeah that's fair, I think it's an even trade since Terrortop immediately makes you go plus 1 but I completely get your pov as well. It's super frustrating that the deck is really only one wave of support away from being really strong lmao Anyway, I appreciate the input my dude, love your content
Happy to see the roids back! I struggle a bit with the lines so these vids are crazy helpful. Anyone happen to know what those oversleeves are? Been trying to find a well-fitting oversleeve to protect the konami art sleeves 👀
Unibird is the only card I see having decent Utility with Harpies fearsome fire blast. It kinda works because this is a synchro deck but it’s nothing great. There also the Simorgh birds but they require no spells and traps in the opponents zone to special summon from Grave
OR they could just unlimit and errata Terrortop to WIND-lock since it is also limited in the OCG, even though they tried to semi-limit it for a format but limited it again.
Are you gonna try in the future the new style of deckbuilding for earth machines? With Gearframe as normal and with less Infinitrack names in the deck?
There are issues with the Gearframe Variant though. Like yes it's got less "Bricks" but the issue is that the bricks that got removed are something you have to open to combo, it adds a brick that is completely dead when you draw it, and the combo deck dies even harder to the same handtraps it already struggled with. All that to get fortress in rotation guarantee is not worth it.
I think otherwise, it's seems like it dies to the same stuff but You can play around it better, ash in Gearframe? Redeployment add Citadel and Dark guy. Ash in Forward? Normal Gearframe, Ash to Gear gigant? Heavy Forward add dozer. Also, This version trakes more advantage of the Therion cards, You Open Regulus and the Dark guy? Normal Dark guy, dump Gearframe, Regulus equip from GY, Gearframe special summon, make Gear Gigant, add Harvester and make normal combo And, You always end on Dora with the Gearframe full combo in contrast with Metalcruncher combo. I understand that This version it's 2-card comboish but Drytron it's also Good with 2-card combos
@@sebastiana.zepedalopez9642 You don't always draw multiple starters, even then, the deck didn't struggle against ash or imperm anyways. It's cards like lancea, droll, and nib. Droll kills the gearfram combo since you don't have anything set up by the time you get hit with it. Nib kills it harder since the earliest summon is the platinum gadget, they can wait for the dozer summon to then drop it and you get no search. As for Lancea, the gearframe combo relies on banishing a bit harder since you need that trencher extension to do anything in the combo. Basically the blow out cards that already kill the deck kill it harder, and this is sacrificing consistency along for only getting a guaranteed fortress, maybe citadel in rotation. The negatives far outweigh the positives here.
@@sebastiana.zepedalopez9642 I'm not saying it answers them, I'm saying they die less to them. Nib can hit you when you don't have any set up yet in the Gearframe combo, Droll prevents you from even doing anything since you need to use the gigant. In the Dozer Control build, the earliest they can nib is when you have bullet on board, which means you get an add back at least. And if you get drolled, you can just send citadel and then make anger knuckle. It makes a lot more against those handtraps than gearframe can.
I’ve never thought about this but it’s very viable since Rubber band shooter is made every turn possible (unless going for game). What good wind rank 4’s are there to help?
