Made a mistake on the charging current, it's 2 amps. My USB tester needs replacing as it was showing only 1A and I forgot to check other reviewers which show 1.7 - 2A.
Thank you. Zeroair had a great written review and Liquid Retro has both a detailed written and video review. What I try and excel at is night footage since it's what many other reviewers miss. I find it's sometimes more important than anything else, unless of course there's major issues with the light.
@@PiercingTheDarkness Yes your night footage is one of the best on youtube and because you do it in the same place it easier for me to compare one flashlight with another. I also started visiting Zeroair if I wanted to see technical reviews but unfortunately they don't provide photos of how each flashlight performs in the real world because for me the standard used to calculate range is not what I expected for example in various reviews Wurkkos FC12 is stated to be able to reach 300 or even 400 meters but after I bought the flashlight for me the FC12 is only able to provide useful light in the 250 meter range.
@@XperiencePureness the FC12 is rated for 345m, but ANSI rating means 1 lux. It's not enough for people to see what's lighting up that far away. The max usable distance is typically 40-60% of the ANSI measurement, which matches up with your experience.
Absolutely fantastic comparison video!!!!!!! Congratulations and applause. I´ve never seen such a detailed comparison video. You really didn´t let any gap for open questions. You really thought about everything. Thanks very much for your effort. Because of you I knew exactly wich one I had to order( I chose the SFT40 version).
Novice headlamp user here in UK ...thanking you for just incredible footage of the lights . Loved the music with the camera behind you and drone shots of the beam coverage ...so effective and creative . Really enjoyed it ..much appreciated .Bill
Thank you Right up until the last 5 videos where I speak in front of the camera instead of my nice intros I was doing. They weren't so happy about that change since they were using that for Amazon. Told them to make their own demos lol
Definitely my favorite form factor in a headlamp to date, loving my XHP 50.2 version, wish they would release a v2 with a 4-5000K 50.3 HI @65-80 CRI and a buck/boost driver.
I noticed that the XHP version got almost double the output on each step, between the samsung and the XHP-LED. So i recon it is thought out, as a flood-light. Economic mode, or more powerful mode, or both. I really like that version for what i would need. Throw is not as important, if it is good enough anyway. The SFT40 looks like it is supposed to work in tandem with the floodier Samsung, if you look at the numbers.
I watched this video long ago but forgot to leave a comment (which I apologize for, because the more comments, the better for your RUclips algorithm). As always, this was an excellent review which covered all the bases to create a fully informed decision on whether to purchase the HS20. One day, I'd love to see a headlamp that hosts a XHP 70.2 floodlight and a XHP70.3HI spotlight (both at 5000K) with a single or double 21700 battery option for long runtime with a belt clip battery compartment. I hope one day to see an innovative company produce such a headlamp and watch it being reviewed on your channel.😁
Скажите, пожалуйста, я не могу понять, какая модель с диодами лучше для дали. Заранее спасибо.XHP 50 мне показалось, лучше для дали !??. Белый свет у какой модели!??

hello friend Thank you very much for your video. perfect can you help me? I'm going to buy one through Ali. They sell 2 versions. Does XHP50.2 (5300k-5700k) and XHP50.2 (6000k-6500k) only change the color temperature? Which one do you recommend? Will the battery life/use be the same? thanks
Any quick and easy way to tell the difference between the two versions? I just bought the sft40 version and want to make sure sofirn sent me the right one
The XHP chips definitely are very picky about reflector size and style in regard to the specific chip (35-50-70 etc). The XHP70 in my Lumintop SD75 is literally what I - and just about everyone who sees it - consider to be the perfect "flashlight beam." Large focused hotspot, but it THROWS! HUGE usable spill. Like having two lights in one while putting out about 6.5k -7k lumens. I literally can't ask for better. That same chip in my O-light R50 Seeker is garbage. Straight garbage.
They're both very similar at turn on, the real benefit is the HS21 when it steps down for the remainder of the runtime. HS20 = 300 lumens, HS21 = 700 lumens.
Sorry, you need to decide for yourself. I enjoy a red light for reducing swarms of insects, so I like the HD50. HD50 uses a 21700 and is heavier than the HS20. Can't help you choosing the right model for your needs. I suggest looking at reviews for both. I enjoy both, but I prefer the red light.
Exactly the video I needed...seems like one of the best headlamps as far as price/quality...but is sofirn a Russian brand....seems like they make great lights at good prices but I'm not sure how I feel if there based out of russia

Sofirn is notorious for parasitic drain, so it's better to remove the battery if you are not using the light.
