Rolex 36 beats both JLC (looks wise not movement wise) and Omega, but no that Zenith, Zenith looks phenomenal.

Sorry but that Zenith is trying too hard. Rolex DJ is timeless and subtle, doesn't need a lot of tricks to make an impression.

I bought a 1992 two tone datejust 36 for my 30th birthday. replaced the bracelet with a strap at first, but now im loving the vintage vibe of the oyster bracelet. the five digit serial is the best imo. vintage feel with the sapphire crystal.

I just picked up a 1978 16013 on the original USA oval 14k jubilee. In the 70's many USA Rolex Datejust's would have the Jacob Bender Champion USA jubilee installed as Rolex contracted them out to make the bands to help reduce the import tax.

I would never pay 5/6+ thousand for an old Datejust. I did however spend less than a 1/5th of that on a beautiful Korean case, gen dial/crystal/crown/bezel/datewheel franken build and short of breaking it open no one will ever know the difference. Yes, in case anyone is wondering I do tell the truth when asked "Is that a real Rolex", and I tell them it's 40% 100% Rolex everytime and explain franken builds. lol. I don't care about money/status/etc. I just love Datejusts and every dial that they come with. I honestly think the Rolex brand is shit at this point, but damn if their vintage pieces aren't just beautiful. The aesthetics are unrivaled IMO. The dude doing this video has a fabulous narrator voice, lol. Keep it up man!
