  • Will Kim Jong Un Sell Weapons to Russia? | Vantage with Palki Sharma
Russia's President Vladimir Putin hosted Kim Jong Un at the Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Russian far east.
Kim promised his unconditional support for what he called Putin's "sacred" war against the West. Putin also hinted at offering rocket and satellite technology to North Korea.
Why is Putin hosting a global pariah like Kim? What's in it for both sides? Palki Sharma tells you.

From my vantage on the long term Moscow is going to dramatically lose geopolitical weight.
Russians have been able to compensate the losses coming from sanctions but they are progressively declining as a top player on the geopolitical scenario.Of course the Russian Federation still is a significant presence but it doesn't any longer retain a dominant position amid the non aligned countries group.

Others have also done so in person and by video call. More leaders will keep visiting to bring a word of support. Quite a large number of visits in a year for a country not hosting a G20 meeting. Putin is not isolated, and he doesn't allow the west to select who he can meet and who he cannot.

This is not due to democracy but because of the 2 party system in the USA that is flawed. Politicians are normal beings and they should abide the law as a country's inhabitant not as a king above the law.

Already you don't know what you're talking about. And I find it funny how you originally started talking about NATO and then changed it to the United States with the so-called "251 military interventions".
Secondly, the sanctions levied against Iraq was a response to the former's invasion of Kuwait and was legal under United Nations Security Council Resolution 661. And about the sanctions by Madelein Albight that supposedly killed over 500k Iraqi children, that was all fabricated. It was widely believed that the sanctions more than doubled Iraq's child mortality rate, research following the 2003 U.S.-led invasion of Iraq has shown that commonly cited data were fabricated by the Iraqi government and that "there was no major rise in child mortality in Iraq after 1990 and during the period of the sanctions." - Dyson T, Cetorelli V. You can’t call his meeting with Kim instead of a meeting as a G8 member a downgrade when the influence of the so called G7 has dwindled considerably in the past 10 years not just in economic terms but political as well; for reference, recall the destabilizing conflicts in Syria, Libya, Yemen, the two Sudans, and Afghanistan that has plunged anti American sentiment to an all time low; the coups in Africa; anti French sentiment on the African continent, MBS not doing what the Americans want; NATO members Hungary, Turkey, and Serbia openly criticizing the necessity of western sanctions and arming Ukraine; the emergence of BRICS+ and her institutions as a potential alternative to western dominated institutions. The world today is very different from the world of a decade ago, and we will see even more geopolitical changes in the next few years, nobody talks of what will happen if the Russians emerge victorious in Ukraine because the western governments don’t believe that’s a possibility, but history has shown many a time that anything is possible.

    • @jdlouis15
      @jdlouis15 11 месяцев назад

That’s the first thought I had, just because the west view a country as insignificant or weak, enough of them is a force. G7 is a western weapon ran by the United States. This is an upgrade for Russia since they are now playing a leadership role in destroying US hegemony, liberating and fighting for those without a voice.

I find it dismaying that the western perspective is so often alive and kicking in Palki's "analysis" of world events. She adopts the West's arthritic point of view that North Korea is a pariah state. By what measure? It is silly to speculate in matters about which one knows as little as Palki does regarding Russia's relations with North Korea (or China). Even her knowledge of Russia's relations with India betray a western bias. It's all nonsense -- fake news.

An objective, stand-back view of what is taking place between Russia and Ukraine points to Nato being the provocateur inching towards the Russian border... as the West's massive corporations eye her great energy and mineral reserves below the surface as a means to fund their agenda of global governance.
As a studious Christian I know the values of the global order that is coming...
    Luke 17:28A
“It was the same in the days of Lot.
And stepping back I I see those abhorrent and confusing values promoted here in the West while Russia hinders, having instigated laws that outlaw the promotion of such to children, infuriating many in the West.
I could go into allot more detail and lay a sound foundation for my views, but at risk of RUclips's bots zeroing in on my comment and shadow-banning it from all but myself as is common place for all who refuse to be spoon-fed the narrative.

Now North Korea will give a hand to Russia, so that in the upcoming days, they could develop & gain more technology/fire power with the help of Russia, it's all a brain game of North Korea, hope Russia does not regret later.
