Who remembers the thanksgiving potluck when Tamar was still on the show and Loni brought green bean casserole with bacon... Tamera was there and she ate some... So did Jeanie .... And Adrienne 😂 I think they must have some really bad memories or they are just trying to forget about every episode with Tamar in it lol
L O - ......bye, thats so unnecessary, & my dad is pretty great w/ my mom, married for over 2O years, STILL treats her like the Queen she is. but oh, i forgot, there's "no such thing"
Omg i kind of want to know the history of black people in Britain. Is it the same like America's? I wanna know what kind of cultural dishes the black brits cook too.
Miriam Hernández the UK is slightly different from America, I don’t know if this is 100% correct but it seems like the black people in the states are unaware of their origin so they simply identify as “African American” but the UK is different, most black people here identify with what their heritage is whether that be jamaica, nigeria, ghana, brazil etc. The only time we really identify as “Black british” is on like formal documents and such. With that being said, therefore, the cultural dishes we have stem from our “motherland” if you will. But we do have typical British dishes too sorry it’s so long, got a little carried away but I l hope it helps a bit :)
Sharon Olukoga that's awesome! Yes alot of black people do not know their exact origins because they were stripped from that. Man that's awesome that yall know where yall are really from and make those dishes. You have the best of both worlds. Thanks my answering my question! Have a good day.
blameitonablackstar I was saying that exact same thing. A lot of people actually cannot cook turkey. And dried turkey is a huge sign that it wasn't done right. But once it's seasoned well and not over cooked, the entire thing should actually be quite moist and flavorful.
Right? I heard (again, I heard) that in order for Turkey not to be dry, you hae to cook it on low heat for a number of hours. My aunt for example would season the Turkeys (we had to buy two because we're a bif family) the day prior to Thanksgiving/Christmas. The following day she'd put on the low heat oven at 5 am to be ready at 12am-1pm. And it was BOMB!
This show hasn't been airing long enough for them to already be forgetting they own episodes lol! Uh HELLO....... yall had a "Potluck" episode and Loni supposedly "cooked" the green bean casserole that they all tried! Why the hell are they acting like they aint ever heard of or tried green bean casserole????? LMAO
If your putting marshmallows on candied yams I don't want them either. Marshmallows was not on my great grandmother's candied yams. Loads of nutmeg brown and white sugar tsp of salt add water out in the oven 350 for 1hour 45.
I must try eating some Chitlins. Green Bean Casserole - I have never tried that. "You have just like dark meat." "We know you like white meat." - Loni killed me, darn, that was savage.. Oh sh$% !
Shoot green bean casserole is my favorite! My momma makes it with bacon and extra French fried onions ❤️ love me some Chitlins and turkey... it's better on a grill and not the oven
Jeannie never ate a good green bean casserole if it’s watery! It’s so damn good. I never had it till maybe three years ago. Then I had to, and made it for my boyfriends family. They are traditional Hispanic family, and they started requesting that for every family function because they loved it so much.
Idk whether they’re running out of time when I notice but Adrienne never lets certain jokes marinate. She starts speaking too soon/ interrupting in the middle of the laughs
I can't agree with you more! People hate handling raw poultry so they don't like really getting under that turkey skin with good seasonings and butter...and they aren't patient enough to let it go low and slow.
Frying a turkey is the best way to cook it. It retains the moisture and has no hint of dryness. Inject it with a cajun spice marinade, throw it in a deep fryer and it's like an explosion of flavor once you take that bite. I can't go back to a baked turkey.
Cranberry sauce is the only thing I can do without..MY family's Ham, cornish hens, pot roast, turkey, garlic mashed potatoes, dressing, Mac n cheez, pasta salad, potatoe salad, angeled eggs, greens, chitlins..💣. The women in my family including myself throws down so I welcome those courses every year.
I find it so funny that tamera said she never had green bean casserole but loni literally made her a green bean casserole and fed it to her on national TV (the potluck episode)
I don't know what way some people be cooking their turkeys but I've never had a dry turkey. I live in Ireland and we don't celebrate thanks giving but we do have a big dinner for Christmas. I think if ur turkeys dry u doing something wrong
I don’t make turkey any more I do Chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, crescent rolls, and a fruit bowl of grapes, strawberries, apples, pineapples, kiwi.
here's the thanksgiving menu for my family (i get tired of it somethimes) Pernil pollo arroz con gandules pastelitos pink potato salad green salad lasagna or pastelon coquito flan arroz con leche alcohol lmaoo

If the turkey is dry that means you didn't cook it properly.
blameitonablackstar exactly!!
blameitonablackstar I was saying that exact same thing. A lot of people actually cannot cook turkey. And dried turkey is a huge sign that it wasn't done right. But once it's seasoned well and not over cooked, the entire thing should actually be quite moist and flavorful.
I actually like dry turkey. Cooked till crisp. Moist makes me wanna throw up.
Right? I heard (again, I heard) that in order for Turkey not to be dry, you hae to cook it on low heat for a number of hours.

Love how she said "we eat pernil at my house" 😂❤️
I keep rewinding to when loni calls out Tamara and jeannie. I cant stop laughing lol
Dark meat of the turkey is the best but if you cook a turkey properly with butter etc... in a turkey bag it's always good & mist.
That Lady At 1:23 Really Enjoyed This Segment 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂

I can't agree with you more! People hate handling raw poultry so they don't like really getting under that turkey skin with good seasonings and butter...and they aren't patient enough to let it go low and slow.
