    Another tip is run your brush along your fishing line and get a little wax on it.They will start drawing on every line really quick.

      it will save you money on plastic or chemically laden wax foundation. just keep one thing in mind put them in the middle of the brood nest on a heavy flow so they will draw worker comb not drone come.

    I followed your instructions for stringing the frames but I missed the part about coating it with wax. Will do that this year. Thanks for the info

    Heard Bob Binnie say they dont draw the bottom all the way down because of the light. So the cure for that is to add a entrance reducer and use a solid bottom board or add another box that matches the frames and put it up in the second until they finish it. Great tip. Thanks.

    Rub wax on your wires, it makes a difference. Brushing your melted wax would be even better.

    Can you add several frames of foundationless side by side, or do you need to alternate with foundation/drawn comb to avoid cross-comb?

    • @WoolieBsApiary
      @WoolieBsApiary 3 года назад +2

      i add these frames during the spring build up while a good or great nectar flow is own in between drawn combs. put them in the center of the brood chamber. if you put them to the outside is more than likely going to be drawn out at drone comb. i keep a frame of drone comb in the outside slots during spring build up just for that reason the feel like they have enough drone comb.
