This guy may have the best delivery of almost any comic I've ever seen. As an American, so much of this material is esoteric to the UK and about subject matter completely unfamiliar to me, and I'm still falling off my chair listening to it...

Love Simon what a brilliant comedian, never seen him give a bad performance a superb funnyman, in my top ten for sure , don't see enough of Simon on TV he would blow most out of the water
@@YvonneWilson312 I don’t think his right wing posturing on stage and on Twitter is an act at all. He’s not half as smart as Colbert was in playing up that role on the Colbert Report.
If you enjoy Evans' work he also does a series on Radio 4 called 'Simon Evans goes to market' all about Economics. Doesn't sound promising but in his hands it's gold!
So him live in Manchester. It was a tour de force. He overran by about 30 mins cos he got on a roll. I was knackered at the end because they just kept coming thick and fast. I reckoned you could estimate the intelligence of audience members by how many of They jokes they understood and laughed at. :)
Cause he's right wing, but from what I hear, they are slowly bringing more right wing comedians to the shows. However the issue is that they're not that funny and also, they don't really slap all politicians while left wingers do.
Absolute genius. A few of you have just discovered him. Check out his "Peckham" sketch. I once described it as the ultimate and definitive 15 mins stand up sketch. Haven't changed my mind. Simon and Stewart Francis are the dogs bollocks!!!
I just want to let you know i saw this act years ago. It left such an impression i remembered it and ive been searching all afternoon. Thank you for the laughs.
Ironically, Mr. Evan’s routine about his (small) eyes is a direct resuly of him being heckled about is eyes many years ago. He admitted that the heckle made him uncomfortable but then he decided to incorporate the subject into his routine - the results are ‘eye opening’ ! 😉 (ruclips.net/video/lcEv6XrZefY/видео.html Above is the link )
His comedy is hilarious when you recognise/regard it as parody! A little less so, when you discover that many of the prejudices he conveys are factual and personally held, but presented in a comedic manner!
I ldnt remember this guys name and couldnt find the vid that i had seen him on... So i looked up "omedian small eyes"... this guy was the first 2 vids.
The best stand up "story teller" in the world. If you have not yet done so, check out his "Peckham" sketch. It remains the joint greatest stand up routine in global history, and has earnt the right to share that distinction with Benny Hill's " I'd reached the age of fourteen" masterpiece.
i have been to quite a good "big name" comedians shows in my home town of Oxford, UK f over the last 30+years. Simon was the introductory (warm up) artist for a couple of those shows. In my experience, I have to say, every show he 'warms' up has been an absolute belter. I'm not saying he is better than the main act, but I am saying you will have a fully enjoyable evening out if he starts the show. Not all warm-up acts can do that. It's like two gigs into one. Harmless silly jokes that catch you a bit off guard. Vocal style is a lesson to be learned here. He always winds down the projection and presence as the story ends. funnier and funnier per line. it's as tho he is giving way (yielding to ) audience volume. The joke is finished quietly with a fantastic punchline, audience roaring with laughter... then.. Bonk! Hits you with an even better punchline. Take your spare set of sides if you are lucky enough to watch perform live, the first set will be split !

An absolute must watch right to the very VERY END.
Come back to this one often , it's excellent 👌
"It was the middle of winter; has been for years..."
Brilliant!
Brilliant comedian - so delightfully unapologetic in his tongue-in-cheek "put-downs". Love it.
This guy is eloquent. I like eloquence. It's a pleasure listening to him.
Ex Essex didn’t you hear? He’s educated.

Best sketch ever. I really like Simon Evans' comedy - we don't see enough of him.
I see too much tbh
Just don't see enough of Simon Evans on TV he is really funny and rapid fire funny
Cos he's shown himself to be a complete twat, that's why
Because you only get on TV as a comedian if youre left wing nowadays and he isnt.

You know this was recorded quite some time ago when he refers to his phone as a “camera phone”
He reminds me of me. I had to learn to speak R P when I first moved to england from alabama in the southern us. Yes you read that correctly.
