The only gun I think you missed is the PKR shotgun, I had to use a shotgun for a quest and I ended up two tapping quite a few people with it, and you get 8 shots to spam. There's also some settings you can change that aren't in game, first being enabling per scope sensitivity in the game config to make the other scopes viable. To do this go to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Prospect\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor open gameusersettings and change this to m_usePerScopeSensitivity=True. Then adjust each optics sensitivity to what you want. Second is a kill indicator which was in the original version of the game but was removed to do this change this m_showKillIndicator=True.
Thank you for the info about the sensitivity :) As for the PKR Shotgun, it costs too much for what it can do and the Scrapper outperfoms it before. I have never died to it either but killed many that had it so I was like, nah I am gonna stick to the ones I had chosen. I do hope we will see some better shotties in the end, I like to play all kinds of guns :)
Jesus Christ that Riley Reid pic caught me off guard. Good content keep it up. Edit: Just a suggestion but maybe later you can do a short guide for items to hold on to for crafting or quarters? Also excellent video again.
Glad you enjoyed the Riley reference ;) And thank you for the suggestion, it has been thought of as well, or at least like top 5-10 items to always pick up? Thank you for the feedback :)
It's insane I went into the Cycle and did the tutorial like "I am a Tarkov player this will be a cake walk for me". Not the case lol I just don't know what I am doing yet which is part of the problem and Tarkov I have been playing off and on for a few years.
I got so confused early on in the video because it looks so similar to the cycle : Storm chaser. I had to google to understand its not an insane update but a new game.
But the main problem is: you need to grind A LOT to obtain even low-tier uncommon guns and/or armor. To obtain at least decent backpack, weapon and armor you need a ton of rare items placed exclusively in interest points, and, uhm, there are people there. So you will die. A lot. A LOT. So IMO Tarkov is both simpler and has smoother curve: you can obtain at least somewhat decent equipment there reliably after like just 16 hours of playing (not even talking about scav runs), while here after 27 hours (according to Steam timer) I was able to collect items for at least low-tier armor and backpack craft only twice (and died both times from guy in back, since sound is terrible)...
I didn't have to grind a lot or anything else to start out with the earlygame loadouts had them all unlocked within a few days. But I get if it takes more time for others as I did play it quite a bit in the beginning. I don't even pick up the materials for crafting the Backpack anymore as so many are also starting to use them. I hope you will have an easier or smoother experience next time we can play They Cycle mate :)
I personally prefer tac helmet and reg shield. With the super low TTK on players and the high rof weapons being the meta, most people are shooting for the body anyways.
Now at the very end of the beta I started going in with 2 loadouts, one in the backpack and a purple one (including weapon) on me, and oh boy does it feel good to face tank a scared rat while calmly saying "yo, chill, I'm not here for trouble" and then blasting them in no time if they don't stop.
9:07 Is incorrect. You state that you need an uncommon (green) helmet to survive a headshot from the c-32 sniper, when factually a headshot from any distance on a full health target with a common (grey) helmet will leave them with 1-ish hp, making sure you can't 1-tap headshot anybody who has the weakest helmet on (and full health), which only costs an insignificant 100 marks. If you 1-tap somebody, it's because they didn't have full health, which is a fairly common occurrence in a perma-death-style game mechanic such as this.
Well, it is not incorrect unless literally ALL common helmet guys and gals are for some reason never 100% HP in my experience ;) I wouldn't mind it being like so though, not a fan of too easy to kill gunplay. I do thank you however for your input :)
ive played easily 20-30 games and have been able to craft only 1 uncommon backpack, how do i "just throw away the common backpack and equip and uncommon one"
Well, I would suggest you try changing your looting route, mate :) I never run out of Uncommon backpacks and I use them every round, as do my teammates, sorry I can't give you any special trick to it ^^
@@UnumGaming How often you die is probably the reason you don't run out of uncommon backpacks. They aren't terribly hard to craft but you gotta evac with the mats to make them and unless you have a stockpile, yeah you can run out of uncommon backpacks pretty fast if you use them all the time and die often.
All wearing common armor or just AFK players? ;) I have died in total twice to the basic pistol, one was desync and the rest was 7 headshots while I was in the vaulting animation. So yeah, hard for me to recommend it you know? But good job on your part :D
@UnumGaming I'm sure they were all fresh players with decent beginner loot. And I was more lucky than in Hunt hehe But among all the first guns, the pistol is really good.
@@UnumGaming The pistol is pretty good at close range but the drop off wrecks its damage pretty fast. It's very ammo efficient and great for when you don't have an uncommon backpack as you can carry less ammo to bring more loot and being able to kill more monsters compared to the SMG/AR. Don't try to shoot at medium+ range though. .XD
ive been 5-6 shotting people with the manticore n the recoil is rly controllable, easily the best headshot machine early game, other than that only thing i disagree with on this list
I have died to a Manticore 2 times in total, neither was the case of just 1 guy shooting at me at the same time, glad you can enjoy using it though it is a cool gun. Glad you found the rest of the list pleasing ;)
The veltecite is found near waterfalls, try at the top and bottom and along the river bank everywhere a waterfall is and you'll find it (its an ore you have to mine)
Just like @joeytman says. Go near river and waterfalls and there will be plently, it has a drop chance and some days it will seem near impossible to get versus plenty :)
Good job. I recommend doing some armor and dmg testing where you come into raid and just take the bullets from your friend. I think the results will surprise you
Thank you, Sir! I have tested out a few shots of friendly fire as well, but I didn't want it to get any longer the video however if something changes regarding the ammo or penetration I might just show that too in the future, thank you for the tip :)
@@UnumGaming that's great! Can you explain in a video how dmg armor and pen works? It's very confusing to me and would like your take on it. Your video highly recommends the green armor over the white because it provides alot better protection. You show a video of a guy who misses 90% of shots on you as proof of better protection. I brought a pistol and armor in with a friend and the difference incrementally was 2 bullets from the pistol. 6 for common armor to the chest. 8 for uncommon. 10 for rare and 1 clip for epic. So I guess I don't understand how it basically ignores the bullets?
Sorry for the late response mate, in short: There is only damage reduction(falt) so far, no percentage or any other negation. Before your character takes damage and the different damage multipliers take effect the armor simply blocks 20 armor on the Uncommon Helmet and that escalates as you can imagine when being headshotted. However keep in mind it is closed beta and the numbers in-game shown on the gear don't really make sense in all cases, which is why I suggest trying it out and getting a feeling of better armor before you try to crack the complete code :)
@@UnumGaming sorry I got the impression from watching the video that you actually knew what you were talking about not just how it felt in one or 2 fights. Hopefully it makes more sense later on.
How do you even get so much money though? Most i usually pull out of runs is 5k. Ive only been able to use bigger backpacks a couple times because I die lol. Wish it were easier to get them. Currently stuck around 40k cash. Cant really afford to throw 10-15k at my gear each run if I die 1/3 of the time
You'll die less often with better gear, so it works out to be more economic than you realize. however I agree that I wish the salvaged insulation was way more common, its so frustrating. I have tons of blue gear but there's no point in bringing it out with a white backpack because I'll not make any profit, so I have to keep running white gear for 10 or so raids to get 4 salvaged insulation to get a single backpack that's worth using.
Sorry for the late response mate! I got a feeling new players have a tendency to pick up basically everything and then go for extract. My personanl record is 177K K-Marks in one run, but once you start to know what to pick up and what not to you can easily go out with 30-60k in an average run :) And just like @joeytman mentions, invest in your loadout and play it accordingly will give you back the money spent in a run or two without a sweat :) Oh and also you can easily get the 4 Salvaged Insulation in one run, but I bet you will find that to be the case later on too :)

The white pistol is underrated, it can be nasty on the early game
Oooh, a bit of a situation there at the end. Great stuff all in all.
Feeling like a tank with Rare armor agaisn't basic bullets ;)
Get a good gear set up, insure it with the salvage option that way if your low level youll get it back with no loss

Good Video but I would stick to the Scrapper or Scarab 'till I can affort the Flechette.
