i've played a couple matches so far and personally i can't agree on the performance aspects. my computer is a bit older but it's not bad by any means, yet i'm running into stuttering and fps drops pretty consistently both in the station and while out on a mission on bright sands (haven't tried the other map yet). im not sure what it is, but even with basically all my settings turned down to minimum i just can't seem to get the game running smoothly. also, when you said there's no loading screens, there was a loading screen right after that which for you only lasted a couple seconds, which i assume means you have the game on an SSD or have a pretty good PC. my loading screens usually take a couple minutes. despite these things i think the game is a very solid start so far and definitely hope to see the devs stick with its current direction because imo sci-fi tarkov is pretty cool
I hope they keep working in this directing too :D BTW have you verified your games files? There can be corrupted files that causes you to have long loading screens, I had a buddy with the same issue until he verified the files :) Just for your info mate, if you are not having your games running on an SSD, you are not running ANY games the way they are meant to be anymore :) Have you tried Escape from Tarkov or Hunt: Showdown? If not, then I can tell you that those are the other 2 PVpPvE games where Hunt is fully published but has HORRIBLE performance compared to The Cycle, and Tarkov isn't much better. So if we compare the 3 games, then yeah The Cycle is sooo much smoother than its competitors. Also, have you overclocked anything? It will make a big difference if not :)

Free to play, you can gain access instantly with a betakey or wait roughly an hour after hitting register on Steam or Epic Store. The player count is so far mostly depending on time of day, but if you seek PvP you will find it in practically every match as long as you are not sitting still in a corner :) The NDA has JUST been lifted so people are discovering the game as we speak!

Played Tarkov or Hunt: Showdown? This is MUCH better optimized even for 1440p :) What you are watching is even on low settings on al old GTX 1080, it is Unreal Engine as well so you know it will be a safe bet for the future as well :)

I would say Apex Mixed with Tarkov but many call it Tarkov in Space :) IF you like EFT or Hunt: Showdown then yeah odds are you are REALLY gonna like this game too :) It is free, give it a go and come andlet me know what you feel about it :)
You're distinction between prospector and hunter is a little misleading 'cause it's not one that's made by the game. It's not like you choose one or the other before you drop. Everyone is considered a prospector. It's just a matter of how much you choose to focus on pvp while you're on the surface. The proximity voice chat makes for some pretty interesting friendly encounters and emergent gameplay moments. You can run into some random who asks for your help with solving an environmental puzzle or taking down a tough creature, and then you can either split the loot and share an evac and be best friends forever or betray them and take all the loot for yourself.
While I do commend you for a long and well-written comment here mate, if you watch the intro to the game it is stated as I describe them. But I do understand what you mean of course :)

I honestly never played the previous version, but I am told that this is like I mentioned in the video a LOT more like Escape From Tarkov now. I believe that is the main difference, it is just executed REALLY well :)
I think so eventually and possibly Crossplay as well, however the Devs are currently being stormed by thousands of new players so we will see how much they can handle for now :D
I'm really sad :( I loved the old game it was so fun..... but now it's just escape from tarkove with a futuristic and cartoony look......ether way I'm going to try it hopefully its good
@2NE2 For sure give it a go first as you say mate, it may not be for all but I would dare say it should peak interest for MANY out there even from the previous versions of the game :)
Better balance? Sorry man, just not true. The higher level gear should obviously be better but it's better to the point where you have almost no chance to lose to lower level players.
If you use base gear besides the Bolt Action Rifle I would suggest using the knife instead. You are only to use Faction weapons and can easily kill full geared players with the majority of them, I am gonna upload a Loadout Guide soon. It appears many do not know how to kill each other and those few that does are just steamrolling everybody else. So while I get what you mean, I hope you will check out the next video I upload and come back to me with what you think again :)
I'm disgusted by the fact the Cycle was/is such an amazing game but no one seemed to know about it and now that tarkov is being played it is gonna be exploded. Just like squid games. Nothing wrong with it tho I like the cycle, tarkov and this game seems to be a banger. I just liked for a battle royale how u already had progress there but now they made it tarkov like is even better.
You would be surprised as to how few players actually camp, I have so far met 1 squad that did so in over 60 hours :) Thing is people just try to kill anyone who is calling in a EVAC or spawned close by, or are you being really unlucky with who you are matched with mate? :)
I never played the older version, but I have been told so my 3 guys so far. Quite happy with only 3 so far :D Hope you can still enjoy this version mate :)

so whats the main difference in this and the game that came out over a year ago? the devs kinda suck at explaining the changes lol

There are no PvE-only mode so far, however you can easily avoid players if you want to :)

there always be good games that have there negatives but it depends what u like about it.
