I think I know the spot you were at!! It the farthest you can on the beach next to the bird sanctuary that’s on the end where you can see the cruise ship, and other ships going out and end from Galveston you go down the North Jetty Road to the Beach then go right in till you see the bird sanctuary you were camp just to the left of the bird sanctuary

I too was surprised at all the unique things I got to witness this time around!!! It was fun with our little community arrangement, and as it turned out it was a great wind blocker from two directions when needed :-) I’ll be looking for your video when you go and wishing you lots of cool and unique experiences too 🤩
Looks really relaxing. I’m with you on the ocean creatures thing. No thanks. I lived in Florida for 16 years until last May when I moved to Wisconsin. I am well aware of what lies beneath those warm waters. 😳

It was so relaxing! For the most part the weather was fantastic ❤️ We had one evening that was much windier than the rest, but you are correct, the sunrise scenes were beautiful 🥰
You can GPS Bolivar Peninsula. For that specific spot, the road I used was Rettilon Rd then turned right (at the water) and followed the beach all the way until the dead end at the bird sanctuary. Hope that helps :-)

5 glorious days at the beach. Imagine what that would have cost you at a hotel. Our Casitas are the best!
Absolutely!!! Plus, if I take my house with me I never have to pack a thing lol

You are correct :-). We love that spot! It’s a great wide section and the only real traffic are the birders for the most part :-)

Haha! I love to stare out at the endless ocean, but unless it’s the Caribbean and I can see everything, I’m probably not venturing out far lol
How was the road to get to the beach it used to be kinda bad in places
We didn’t have any trouble and neither of us had AWD.

Where do you buy your permit at?? Wanting to take our grandsons camping on beach!
How fun! We bought ours at “The Big Store” there on the island. You can also order online.
