This is the most detailed and best chemical engineering related video I ever watched. And I'm so excited cause I was just studying about energy balance yesterday and this video relates so well🥰
Yho this video was much needed in terms pf perspective 😅I started my internship (WIL) recently , lol its been close to a month but plant work lets say its been 2 weeks. I HAVE BEEN FEELING IT. Your videos motivated me through my last year in Varsity sana, glad to see you're back.
I remember watching your videos 2 years ago and the course was chawing me😭😭 I am an EIT now and some days are exciting, but I am still new. Looking forward to more videos in this series🥰😇
Hi, not sure if you're aware but a note to be wary posting anything related to your work, location, personal life. Noticed the uniform at 5:32 Nice video, I hope it's an exciting career for you.
thank you for this video! There isn't any information available to me locally in my country, and this is my career path. So i'm happy i found you. Do you mind sharing the sub-paths for careers in ChemE? Other than Process Control.
My father wanted me to pursue chemical engineering. I just wasn’t interested, so I ended up studying computer science. Great to hear your story. Pardon my curiosity: Tell me about your name - Sundani Shilaluke? What does it mean, and where does it come from?
I’m glad you decided to go with what interests you. I hope you’re enjoying it. My name is Venda and my Surname is Tsonga (I’m Tsonga). My name Sundani means to go/go away or move. My family is from Limpopo in South Africa
I am really interested in chemical engineering am still in high school and I am yet to apply for university but am still confused about what I want to do
Funny how I’m doing chemical engineering and as yet I can’t fully explain what it is😭😭 This was so helpful❤️ Please do post more of these, didnt want it to end🤭🫶🏽
Does Chemistry pay well? I'm asking cause I'm majoring in Chemistry and Stats and when I do honors, I'm wondering if I should go for Stats or Chem; I love Chem but I also want to get paid.
Hey I really hope you reply soon How often are you actually involved in the actual chemical production of products ...like are you ever in a lab because im caught between Analytical Chemistry and chemical engineeriim more interested in more lab than office work and more standing than sitting
Hey😊 Chemical engineering doesn’t have much lab work. If you’d strictly like to be in the lab I’d recommend you do Analytical Chemistry instead. As a chemical engineer who works in the petrochemical industry, I am on site quite often so I’m definitely not sitting in the office all day everyday. I mostly go on site to do inspections on vessels such as reactors, distillation columns etc. Chemical engineering job opportunities are very broad though. I know a few chemical engineers who do work in the lab occasionally. It depends what industry you go into and which company you work at. I hope that helps ♥️
Hi. I did a BSc in Chemical Engineering so I’m not sure how much that would differ from what a diploma can offer but what I noticed when preparing to go into the work space is that some companies only wanted to hire people who had passed modules with more 65% and some didn’t. I personally passed a few of my modules with 50-60% and that was not an issue for the company I had a bursary with and am currently working for. In summary, I think it depends on where you hoping to end up; but obviously passing with more than 65% would give you more options.
I would prefer to keep my salary private but you can use this link to get an idea of how much a process engineer in South Africa earns: za.indeed.com/career/process-engineer/salaries

do you think it is advisable to do apprenticeship instead of going uni(in order to become a chemical engineer)
I'?m a Uni student. Thank you for the video. Is your engineering degree a BEng or BSc or BEng Tech?
Thank you. It’s a BSc
Hey
I really hope you reply soon

Would you say chemical engineering is in demand and will be in demand in the next 10 years
Yes, I would say so.
How sure are you@@SundaniShilaluke
What skills does one need to have as fresh graduate of chemical engineering before searching for a job.
I have a video on my channel that highlights a few skills I would consider valuable based on my experience. Feel free to check it out 🙂
As a process engineer may i know how much you are earning
