Awesome video Sundani! Always great to find fellow ChemEng content creators, really loved hearing your perspective being a ChemE from South Africa. All the best, looking forward to following your journey 🎉
Towards the end of every semester, when the workload is at its peak. I get frustrated to a point i say things like," I better get paid a minimum wage of 40k per month after deductions" to cope.😂 I know it sounds unreasonable, but it keeps me grinding
tysm for the video. i plan on majoring on it too but I'm scared about the future job like. i watched a few tiktok reel that said that chemical engineering only will get you job in very remote places and industries. i would much rather work in office settings/ in city yk. so I'm scared
Idk.. much but what I know about Chem Eng jobs will depend you may work on field and in office too... Though for better start is good to go on field because u will learn alot and apply theories that we learnt 😊 "All is well when you love what we do" Thanks
That’s not necessarily true. You will find more traditional chemical engineering work in remote areas but you can definitely work in an office setting as a chemical engineer.
🥺Can you give tips on how to get an internship or in service training after studying, The do's and don't's in the work environment especially in an internship and tips that might get you lucky in securing a permanent job after an internship.
Hey. Maybe try getting some vacation work somewhere then use that opportunity to showcase yourself. Make sure you work hard and be enthusiastic about learning during the vacation work/internship.
@@noluthando.nkambuleNo is not. One is Engineering Sciences and one is Engineering Technology. BEng is Equivalent to Bsc in Engineering but not BEng Tech(Hons). All 3 of them are NQF LEVEL 8 but content is different, while they’re not mutually exclusive, they’re still different, while Bsc/Beng focus more Mathematics and sciences behind Engineering cases, BEng Tech(Hons) is still Technology based, less intense Mathematically and science, not saying there’s no maths or physics there’s but it’s just is not the same intense and not focus on deriving from 1st principle. If you look at ECSA BEng/Bsc graduates are Candidate Engineers, while BTech, BEng Tech or BEng Tech(Hons) or Advanced diploma or MTech is candidate Engineering Technologist. Whoever a person with these Engineering Technology degrees can do newly Introduced 2 years of MEng( Professional) which is ECSA accredited and meant to bridge the gap between mathematical and Scientific knowledge between Engineering science graduates and the Engineering Technology. Take note that don’t confuse typical MEng/Msc which are not structured by ECSA but structured by universities. So if you are in Engineering Technology you need 3 BEng Tech, 1 year BEng Tech(Hons) and 2 years MEng(professional) to be equivalent to 4 year Bsc/BEng degree.
Found your content today on TikTok and I’m not looking back anymore ❤..definitely love at first sight I’m inspired I’m also doing my final year in Chemical Engineering and Yeah fingers crossed I’m hoping to get placed in Sasol Secunda🥹 I’m using Sasol bursary i was there early January for my Vac work .. Love you😘 hope to see you soon
Thank you! ❤️❤️ That’s great to hear. I wish all the best with final year and fingers crossed you’ll be placed in Secunda. You’ll get really good process engineering experience.
I better get that money 😭😭 because i know I'm going to sweat blood in my 1st year

Thank you for the great content ❤. Can I please ask about your working shifts. How many shifts do you work per week?
I work 5 days a week. 40 hours a week, 9 hours a day so a normal day is usually from 07:00 to 16:00.
Hey.
How do you make sure that you still stand a chance to get a good job ,even though your transcript is not that appealing .
