@@shelby8752 "labertasche" - "labern" is a kind of sweet-mean word for talking a lot, one maybe like your great aunt would use. "tasche" means pocket, so it kind of means talking pocket
"blockflötengesicht" was the second one. "blockflöte" is a flute, "gesicht" means face - so "fluteface" :)
at 07:50 she talks about putting lotion on your face in german, "ganz sanft" means "very softly", softly also meant in a social setting. "trockene stellen" are dry places (?) on a face
erbsenzähler means peas counter
ps: "verfalute mandarine" is the best german insult. it translates to rotten (don't know if that's the correct form) mandarin (the kind of fruit that looks like a small orange) :)

My family hosted about 7 or 8 German exchange students while my sister and I were in high school, 1-2 each year, and they would teach us some swear words and other phrases in German, it was wonderful!

My gosh you look so much like the German transfer student that I had in my junior year of high school. She also helped me improve on my German, but she left at the end of the year and this made me so happy cause I miss her.
What I like about Eda's videos is that I dont have to turn the volume too high, so whenever there is a comercial I dont get terribly scared.
I like hearing you speak German, reminds me of my childhood! My mom was from Germany and moved to the states, she would sing nursery rhymes and teach me German words or phrases. So this felt very relaxing and nostalgic

i had a german exchange student in my drama class freshman year. i miss her so much 😭. she was literally the best. during winter or spring break, my family and i had gone up to a small beach town a couple of hours away from where we lived and it turns out that she and her host family had also went there! it was so much fun running into her and just hanging out for a bit. hope she’s doing well.
