  • Learn "The Rights of Man", one of the most famous hornpipes in Irish Music, with Tunes From Doolin.
I learned "The rights of Man" during my very first summer in Ireland, back in 2006, on the tin whistle. It is my friend Stéphane who got me started, and I am ever so grateful for all the advice and tips he gave me, especially around his respectful approach to traditional music. I also associate this tune with the great album "Fire Aflame" by Matt Molloy, Seán Keane and the late Liam O'Flynn. Liam O'Brien, the great concertina player from Miltown Malbay, also recorded it on his album "The Lane".

Hi Dan! Thanks for the comment! This concertina is a 7Mount from Ralf Schlimm in Germany. I can highly recommend his concertinas, they are excellent instruments! I guess you already play concertina yourself?
