You helped me figure out where to go to find pieces for my interior and I thank you for that. I also have those aluminum rings, so to get them off they just need to be heated up.
No problem, happy to help! And yep.. I heated them up (not like super hot and be careful to not add to much heat to the dash itself) and then I used a plastic interior trim tool and kind of helped use that to get the rings off. The inner rings came off super easy for me but the outer were a little trickier.
How did you installed the carbon soft flexible overlay on the console from the shifter to the armrest? Mine once installed just popped out of shape near the shifter, it lifted.
Heya! Here is the vide on that piece, ruclips.net/video/2cITWVRMDDs/видео.html. Some info I put in the description from that video, "This overlay began to float up a little at the narrow spots near the knee pads and the heavily slanted sections inside of the knee pads. I pulled the overlay up down to the half way past the knee pads and applied a little bit of adhesion promoter and laid the overlay back down. It has since adhered insanely good and has not moved at all. Adhesion promoter can damage the plastic underneath so keep that in mind if you go that route as well." Seems like you are having the same issue I did so the adhesion promoter is what helped... But as mentioned, keep in mind, it "may" cause some damage to the finish of your console. Hope that helps!
