- Welcome to our final book chat about "The Royals" by Kitty Kelley.
In this episode, I share my thoughts about the book (what I loved and what I didn't!)
I fast forward to delve into the then Prince Charles and Princess Diana's divorce settlement and the loss of Diana's HRH. We also hear about Fergie's fall from grace and the union's reluctance to pay tribute for her 37th Birthday!
We revisit Diana's tragic accident and finish on a hopeful note that bodes well for the future of the Monarchy...
Continue the discussion in the comments below.

Requiring Harry & Meghan to get permission before traveling overseas would be of no use. They already don't adhere to any of the agreements they made at Sandringham, and there have been no consequences.
🎯!! Absolutely Right! They are only concerned about themselves, nothing else! After hearing that the High Commissioner to Nigeria had to get involved by telling the Nigerian Gov't it is a 'private' visit....could we see more interest by the British gov't to consider how titles might be removed??
KCIII would be better off ASKING the suss-ex-royals to represent him somewhere, because her contrarian pathology and personality disorder would make her refuse to go. And Harry would just do whatever his wife said.
Enjoyed the review. My God the mind boggles thinking about that huge amount of money suggested as a settlement❤
Spot on and so frustrating
Earl Spencer attended Invictus service with Harry but couldn't give his 2 daughters away when they got married. He didn't even attend their weddings. So much for family support. He must sort his own house out first.
He also turned down Diana s request to stay at althorp when she was going through the divorce.
Not exactly full of family feeling. I always felt he had a nerve criticizing the RF when he had messed his own family around so much!
He is a beater -allegedly!
Maybe he did not get an invite! 🐝
@@windsong2875yip! The true sign of being a Spencer. It's in the genes and nothing can change it. 🐝
@@greencloud2225 He turned her down at time she went with Dodi-she would have been at Althorp instead of a French tunnel.
Harry and Meghan are visiting Brazil next because Harry found out Meghan was 100% nuts.😂
Love it!

😂🤣😅
Brilliant 😮😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Oh my goodness! That was so clever, I had to read it again before the light came on. Love it 😂😂😂
What we now know about Princess Margaret tells us she had a cheek criticising Fergie.
True! 😂💗
Neither Phillip as he allegedly had an affair with fergies mum 😮😮😊
@@Loobylooto2 in her dreams......not his.
I remember cringing, hearing Charles Spencer’s churlish speech at the time of Diana’s funeral. Of course none of his pronouncements about the Spencer’s bringing up the two young Princes eventuated. Empty words. Lady Colin Campbell recently had this to say about Spencer: “When a daughter does not invite her father to her wedding, there’s usually a good reason. And let’s leave it at that.”
Unless you have yourself a Meghan Markle.
@@cassandratq9301 lol, yes, you’re right Cassandra, I should have remembered that huge exception!! 😂
Thank you Shauna I have really enjoyed this book and your views too. It's funny when you look back to those days of Diana and Sarah and think "Wow I remember that happening". Poor William, he was such a rock to his Mother and doesn't use her memory the way her youngest son does. And that truly makes him a wonderful future King
So true about William 🤗, I believe it's because he married a good woman whom is able to help him get over the hurt of loosing his mother. Williams situation reminds me of Isaac in the book of Genesis when he met his wife Rebecca, he was comforted after his mother's death. I believe Catherine was able to do that for William so that he can now dwell on the good times he had with his mother.
@@edd9032 Beautifully said. I also believe the Middleton's have helped William in his healing after the loss of his Mother. They embraced him and even when he and Catherine took their wee break none of them went running to the media. He's so blessed to have them in his life especially Catherine
The difference between King Charles and Diana is, one trashed the other in public and in books and the other one did not.
Diana completely catfished Charles. She represented herself as a jolly country girl who loved shooting, fishing, long walks in the countryside and Balmoral. Once the ring came on the gloves came off. Charles only went through with the marriage to save her reputation. Diana never had as much consideration.
@@l.h.2543 and he wanted her eggs; whats your point here? They simply weren’t suited and neither took the time to find that out before marriage. Interesting that history seems to have been repeated with regard this and their son, Harry.
@@user-nw3xc2tk6yyou need to read Lady C book she actually has 2 The Real Diana and Diana in Private she had many lovers during and after the marriage
Charles trashed Diana by flaunting his relationship with Camilla, beginning on their honeymoon(!).
Charles had his friends do that. Nicholas Soames was always on the talk show circuit saying Diana was mentally unstable. Charles also did the Dimbleby interview and has briefed to Penny Junor for years.
Kitty Kelly being Irish American was prone to dislike the Brf. She got rich from them though 🤔
Yes the Irish and the Scott's had good reasons to dislike the British.
She wrote a bio of Frank Sinatra decades ago. What does that mean? 😊
@@yvonnegill2155 The Scots are British.
Maybe it's more about who she's married to? Her husbands type really hate the royal family
Being in the public eye constantly must be exhausting. Being judged from birth every stage of your life. How many of us could deal with that. I know I couldn't, then imagine your sibling, your confident not only turning their back on you but trying to destroy you.
I really feel for Prince William and Princess Catherine 😢😢
Another great video. Cant wait for a fresh new book👍🏼
Earl Spencer is still dining on Diana's dime. Just as Harry does still and quoted to John Travolta.
🎯!! Spencer Family has quite the 'past'... not all family friendly!!
The irony of Harry’s statement is that John Travolta was the hottest star ⭐️ in America at the time. If anything, it increased Diana’s popularity here 🇺🇸 not JT. Also Harry has some nerve… Deflection and Hypocrisy!
I couldn't agree more. Charles Spencer is as shameless a grifter as his younger nephew Harry. Pretty pictures of his sisters resting place and childhood photos all to remind people they can pay to see where she grew up !! Got to keep the cash rolling in !!
Please ,please a book about the Spencer clan . The real story of a dysfunctional family and not the fairy tale the sugars spin.
It is human nature to praise dead saints and persecute the living. How true.
LOL. Margaret like the pot calling the kettle black
Yes! 😂😊
Diana had a dysfunctional childhood so did William and Harry.
You might say that Charles did, too.
I have always thought both Diana and Charles brought their own family baggage' into their marriage, that already had red flags against it.
@@ajune583 so true , it was doomed before it began .
Princess Margaret has a lot of nerve talking about embarrassing the Royal Family...her life was a real "busy" one and started well before her marriage. She was a real wild child. Princess Diana was a wise bargainer, you can always bargain downbut you can't bargain up.
EXACTLY what I was going to write.. I remember some pretty scandalous photos of her affair with Roddy what’s his name. Seems to me it was hitting a little too close to home and bringing back some uncomfortable memories… regardless, incredibly hypocritical. Margaret is someone I have less and less admiration or sympathy for as I learn more
Yes, Diana "announcing" the fruits of her divorce before they actually were negotiated... wily, crafty
@@barbraluce5706 Sound like anyone we know who announces things before deals are completes??? More copying or just vengeful??
I always thought princess Margaret was a bit of a sexy minx with a sparkle in her eye . She did like to “ play with the commoners “ but apparently did nt like it if they ever forgot she was a Princess . She had a tragic life though , being prevented from marrying the one love of her life and then marrying the photographer Lord who was very abusive and enjoyed humiliating her .Not a happy woman foremost of her life I think .
Welp, at least she didn’t try to take down the monarchy. Yes, she behaved badly and brought shame, but so have many throughout history. In my opinion, from the Show Me State 🇺🇸
Even now, poor old Charles hasn't quite turned it around. There are still significant pockets of animosity, not least in these H&M YT channels, where people congregate to bash Charles as 'weak' and Camilla as all sorts of unprintable things. It is unpleasant, and the fact that they still feel such animosity for him does show how strong the original sentiments were at the time. Diana's popularity was overwhelming, and then she died and became a plaster saint, and completely unassailable.
It's not about Diana. He is weak, firstly he left it to his mother to deal with Harry and now it's most definitely his turn he still does nothing.
Charles is weak in that he wants to please everyone, which just isn't possible. You need a bit of steel in your backbone to make tough decisions, as for instance with his eh, wayward son ...
@@loots9821Charles is not weak .. and it was up to the Late Queen to deal with a member of the RF .. it is because of her that ,unfortunately, was allowed to enter Sandhurst when not having the intellectual skills, the education to do it !
@@loots9821- Was the Queen strong with her own son Andrew? She didn’t remove his title as Duke. She didn’t evict him from Royal Lodge. He still was allowed while she was living to maintain an office at Buckingham Palace. She went riding with him shortly after the settlement and this was seen as a sign that she still supports her “favorite” son. And it’s no doubt she knew or should have known Epstein was a pedophile before all the uproar a few years ago and Andrew still maintained a relationship with him.
Henry the 8th I've been thinking about....on sparry and megaliar just imagine if they lived back in the days of beheading 😳

We can only dream
While there are weird parallels to Harry and Meghan to Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn (they got married in the church Henry (red hair) is buried in on the anniversary of the beheading of Anne Boleyn (dark hair) ) I would liken William and Harry to Edward IV and his treacherous brother George, Duke of Clarence, who ended up drowned in a barrel of malmsey wine. Then again, when Edward died, his other brother, Richard, likely had his sons murdered in the Tower and seized the throne for himself. There’s no shortage of backstabbing royal brothers in English history. Hope Harold can swim or hold his breath for a long time…🍷 cheers!
Aha, Shauna! Methinks, you can now understand why I couldn’t finish the book when it came out. 😂❤

I agree but I also love According2 Taz because she covers all the Royals and she's so upbeat and fun. Neal Sean seems to come up with a lot of titbits that others don't have and he shines the light on many other famous people as well as historical events. And I just love HG Tudor for his snarky comments that are so amusing and his knowledge of narcissistic traits that go into makings of the TOW. I love the way he explains the reason why she does things that we simply cannot understand.
I have no idea how I got ho9ked into all this royal gossip. But I must admit it reminds me of the old days, with Charles, Diana, Andrew, Fergie and Margaret always providing something to natter about.
@@vericarauza5830 May I add 'River' to the list, lots of fun with River. Sue Smith is good too.

Love your channel, Shauna, I listen to you when I'm working out...weight training. I agree with you about Diana. She had faults, she wasn't perfect, but I do believe she used her position for good and she sincerely wanted to help people. I also wish people would let her rest. especially the grifters of Montecito.
I agree about Diana and feel so sad that her younger son has selfishly brought her name into disrepute. Everyone is now comparing the bad traits of Harry's personality to Dianna's.😢
D’you know Shauna, Tony Bliar was pulling a stunt when he called Diana the People’s Princess, after he resigned the Prime Minister’s post one of his former advisors did an interview where he admitted that Blair wanted to make the UK a republic, he despised all of the Royals and he was trying to push a wedge between the Royals and the people, there was actually a noticeable shift against the Monarchy.
However, as well as the extraordinary reaction to losing Diana, Queen Elizabeth, once again, struck exactly the right tone with her speech and Blair decided that it wasn’t the right time to push through legislation.
It’s believed that his duplicity is one of the reasons he waited so long to be entered into the House of Lords, Prime Ministers are usually given the honour shortly after they leave office x

I used to be a pop culture enthusiast, which the BRF were definitely in pop culture in the 90s. After the separation of Charles and Di, Charles did his first solo trip to the US February '93. He gave a speech at William and Mary college to mark an anniversary of some sort, they are the oldest University in the US, even though Harvard believes that they are. (bahaha) I had several friends going, some students and some working for event staff. They asked if I wanted to go. I said no, I couldn't stand Charles at the time. I watched the speech on TV and I was shocked on how well he did. He cracked some jokes, looked very relaxed and didn't studder at all. I say that because he didn't seem that way with the joint interview with Di years prior to that. I wish it was on youtube, but I don't believe it is. When I talked to my friends about it later, they said he was lovely, warm, funny and generally interested in what they were doing for W&M, studies, research, etc striking up conversations at the Governor's Palace Reception with the faculty, students and even the staff! One friend, who was an art history major, gave Charles a requested tour of the palace! I still regret not going, even in a staff helper position. My friends reminded me that there are 2 sides to every story and don't get caught up in it. 😢 ps thanks for your videos and you hair looks fabulous!
Yes, I agree with you, I prefer to remember Diana for her good work and, I maintain, *genuine* love and care for the people with whom she came in contact.
Everything Meghan is not...And what a shame Diana's memory has been blasted because of her youngest son and his wife😠😠
@@sharonwelsh8907 Its odd how H&M seem to have this opinion that Diana would be totally on their side and agree with everything they have done and are continuing to do.... while the rest of us know she'd be appalled by Ms behaviour in particular and never agree with Hs treatment of C3 or Wills

That is all thanks to Hazbeen and TOW. They constantly bring on the notion that TOW is like Diana. Now even the public are starting to look at Diana's legacy through the unsavoury H personality. These days when I look at H I tend to think that he got the worst traits of Diana's personality and HRH Prince William got the best as well as her looks.
Hi Shauna, Thank you for reading the book for us all.😊❤

After listening to what Princess Margaret wrote to Fergie I can’t help but feel that if Meghan Markle had happened in the lifetimes of The Queen Mother and Princess Margaret or even further back with previous Royals, or maybe even when the Queen and Prince Phillip were younger then things would be different. Harry and Meghan would not still be using the HRH despite not still holding those titles and Nigeria would not be happening. This is why I feel so frustrated with King Charles. He is giving the appearance of a weak king, whatever is going on behind the scenes, Harry is damaging his reign and he is damaging the monarchy I agree with what you said in your previous video Shauna.
I do appreciate your review of this book because like you, I'm quite enamoured with bygone eras of the monarchy. I'm not a monarchist even though I was born in a Commonwealth country, but do see the value of it to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth. However, my late grandmother had great adoration for the royal family, especially HRH the late Queen Elizabeth II. I came of age in the USA so have adopted the American ideology, even though we don't want royalty, but secretly 😜 admire their lifestyle and pageantry 🤭. I also like to see their imperfections proving that they're humans but privileged. I got the opportunity to see the late Queen Elizabeth II in the flesh in 1997 when I visited Scotland and she was visiting Holyrod Palace, and I was very elated to describe to my grandmother how beautiful she looked in person and what she wore 😀. Thanks again Shauna for these wonderful reviews.
I made the same comment earlier in this series. To me KK showed true disdain for this motely crew, and it put me off.
The beginning was so promising!
Interesting note from Princess Margaret to Fergie. Princess Margaret should have reflected on the Shakespearean quote from Hamlet " . . . to hold as 'twere the mirror up to nature", given some of her behaviour with Roddy Lewellyn and many of their escapades on Mustique.
Yes I thought that!
Hi Shona, also read Lady C's book. I remember in that book, she wrote that once Diana lost her HRH's title, she found that more doors shut on her than welcomed her.
I have two questions 1. Do you believe Diana would have had the same impact, same fame, with the internet and social media. Reason I ask even a year after her divorce and refusing Royal protection people were seeing both sides of her personality. I was wondering what you thought?
2. If All her jewelry was to go to Prince William how did Prince Harry obtain the blue sapphire ring? Or any jewelry? Or did I miss something?
That leads me to Why does it feel like Prince William is all alone without support? We always hear about poor Harry and how fragile he is but after Princess Diana died wasn’t the Queen worried when he started doing dangerous things to distract himself from grief?
Why does the Media always discount his grief or his anguish? It was his Mother too, it’s his Father with Cancer also, and he has the additional concern of having his partner/wife/friend being very ill.
I don’t understand. I apologize.
You do awesome job, on book reviews always makes me think! Love them! Can’t wait for the next book!
I agree! I think William isn’t considered enough…I think he comes across as strong, so people expect more of him. He has gone through a LOT!
There’s an interview with kitty kelly about moving up the release of The Royals on RUclips . Badly pile of books, unwisely faced with a Diana book. So, Barnes and noble always releases new books on Tuesday. And I’m like, oh that’s what Kitty looks like. Then the show the store, the Escalater is broke, haha. They pan around, and it’s the B&N I worked at for 4 years. That store sucked out my soul. On 82nd and Broadway. We did over a million dollars in sales, every day, when Christmas and Hanukkah lined up. One dayBrinks left a bag of over $75,000. I could have lived in Fiji.
I love your book reviews ❤
Me too
I hate to say this but i believe that since Diana has been gone, and the constant war, with her supporters, against King Charles [and Q. Camilla], it has given the people a chance to see him without such jaded eyes and in a new light. Also, seeing the man Prince William has become, being raised by him and Queen Elizabeth tells a lot. I think these 3 showing a united front with Princess Catherine joining, just made the monarchy sturdy and reliable.
But, the biggest icing on the cake, has been all the awfulness done by H/ MM, has just made the Monarchy shine. The more mud they sling, the better the royal family looks. H/ MM took the monarchy from sturdy and reliable to world wide fame and stardom. H/MM have done what no P. R. team could have ever dreamed of accomplishing. They pulled out the Royal Family, dusted them off and made them shine better and stronger than they have since William the Conquer came over and conquered the island. Every fabulous hero and heroine needs a truly awful villain. There couldn't have been a more perfect born set of idiots with the evil, backstabbing, two faced, traitor brother and his greedy, base, lying, fame loving, trash wife. Oh, if only H/MM could have known what the outcome would really have been to their "freedom flight"! Those two sought to destroy the worlds perception and reputation of the Royal Family, but only drew attention to how much they truly do for good, and how relevant they really are. Before H/MM started up their shenanigans, most of the outside world barely had any idea who most the royal family were, much less what they did. Now the Royal family is beloved all over the world and respected for who and what they are! Where are H/MM right now? Slumming a fake QVC want to be royal tour begging for some type of income or celebrity status from everyone, anyone? They are synonymous with the worlds biggest joke and will go down in history as the most traitorous, despicable, and pathetic duo, probably worse than the Duke and Duchass of Windsor! I see the Royal Family as continuing to grow in prestige and magnanimity while H/MM contine to fall... slipping and slidding in the filth they constantly spew from their own lips. I say good riddence to the both of them! They deserve it. I do not side witb those who are letting Harry slide blaming it all on MM. [I refuse to say her name, helping give anymore fame or infamy to her] I believe Harry is almost worse than her because he knew better! He knew the true consequences that could have come from his actions if they had prevailed. MM found a mean, petty, jealous, vindictive BOY whose family was barely keeping his actions contained from the world. Yes, she coaxed, encouraged, and duped him, but everything was already there simmering and waiting on her to just set them free. He happily fell in line and does not even have the decency to be ashamed or acknowledge any of his wrong doings while he keeps coming back looking for handouts. It is not always just the treacherous woman's fault, alone. Harry has long since been aware of her true colors. In summary, he is even more to blame than she is but, good on them, because they turned out to be the best thing ever for the Royal Family's fabulous 2024 ratings world wide! Thank you, H/MM for being some of the world most awful villains and laughingstocks! 😂😂😂 oh wow! That was a long vent. I apologize for that verbal diarrhea if anyone made it this far! Those two just really peeve me off! 😂😂 you can go on with your day now. 😂😂 sorry
I agree with everything you have said. Before H and MM I was a republican, as is all of my family. I knew a lot about the royals, from family connections, but Australia is a long way from Britain, and with time, the ties to Britain has thinned. It was after the OW interview I became a staunch royalist, I knew immediately that everything they said was lies, and the spite was palpable. The Royal Family had welcomed her with open arms, and this was how MM and H re payed them.
Thank you, Jamey. I agree wholeheartedly with your view. I admire the senior Royals for not joining the reality show/soap opera scene inhabited by those 2 fakes.
Very well said, indeed! My exact sentiments! Couldn't agree with you more and couldn't have said it better.

@@dhjdmba5684 thank you! I know I am not the only one and it is great to hear this. I did have a slight tirade of vehemence about those two! 🤣
You wrapped it up nicely. And I'm glad for your honesty that you got fatigued by the book. It happens. I absolutely love the Harry Potter series, but in the last three books I skip certain chapters because they irk and annoy me. Other chapters though I can read again and again on their own and they still move me and they helped me make sense of the world when I first read them.
Great way of describing it!
What you described about Kitty Kelly’s writing was exactly the same feeling I had in every book of hers I read. I almost gave up reading them a couple of times because of the negativity.
I had the same reaction to her. Glad I am not alone.😀
And me, the first book I read was about Nancy Reagan, I knew that she was pretty awful, especially in the White House according to reports but Kitty lived up to her name and was extremely catty in her writing. I prefer biographers who are neutral in their assessments
I usually love big huge autobiographical books, but that being said they can get bogged down and a tad boring if the author isn’t careful. I’m sure this same book could have lost a few hundred pages and none of us would have been the wiser for it! Thanks for giving it a good go. On to the next great book!
18:00 I totally agree with Shauna's description of Lady Diana's personality & character. Spot on.
Shauna i tead Patrick's book what i remember he spoke as her employee i always thought he was very balanced and he didn't have it easy with her and he wasn't afraid to point out her her moods and how refused to get out of the car at royal engagements and a lot of the charities excepted her behaviour and were discreet as long ass she remained theiir patron its been about 10 years at least since read it i felt he was fair and wasn't sugar coated he didn't make her out as a saint in fact i feel he was very patient with her these days people would not up with the quarter he did
I felt that most of the book was a hatchet job; her obvious dislike of the royal family rather spoilt it for me🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦
Many years ago, I worked with a number of British ladies who were emigrants to Canada. They gave me quite an education about various members of the Royal Family. Regarding Princess Margaret, one lady used to comment: "The only thing that hasn't been over her is a train." 😂😂
My late dad, born 1929) was a right gossip. He knew Rock Hudson was gay long before it was common knowledge. He had some ripe things to say about Margaret and Phillip. And he knew Margaret's husband swung both ways30 years before it was confirmed.
How on earth was Margaret able to say those things about Fergie? Sounds a bit like pot calling the kettle black !
It does!
Yes, and isn't it strange that the three 'spares' ie. Margaret, Andrew and Harry, were, and are, not very nice characters? Hopefully times have changed, and little Charlotte and Louis will not be the same. I think they will be fine due to a normal family upbringing and no staff and other hangers-on bowing and scraping around them.
Fergie was selling story of royals to midea even before she divorced Andrew which Margreat naver did.

I've always wondered why Kitty Kelley writes books about people she doesn't seem to care for.
Thank you Shauna for wrapping up this book in such an enjoyable way. I am happy that you chose to cut it short yet still respected the topic. Diana’s divorce and settlement was interesting. To quote Elton John, Diana really was a “candle in the wind”. 😢

Goes to show how History just keeps repeating itself .
Thankyou for the review on this book very much enjoyed
Charles Spenser sure has some nerve criticizing the royal family given his multiple infidelities, including at least one with a friend’s wife, two divorces and the distance the children from his first marriage keep from him. Also i believe he refused Diana’s request to chill at their family home after her divorce.
I think so as well. He’s too like his father.
If all of Diana's jewelry went to Prince William for Catherine, why did Meghan get a few items?
It's possible that William gave them to his brother.
What was being referred to in the divorce settlement was the jewellery items that Diana was gifted on official visits abroad and by visiting dignitaries at other State occasions , as the wife of the Prince of Wales and a representative of the monarchy. It was not gifted to her personally, and so on the divorce it became part of the Crown collection to be kept for the next Princess of Wales. Her own personal jewellery collection is what her sons were able to share between them.
@@PoloponyThank you for explaining.
I never knew about her HRH status, but I heard that the Queen did not take away her security that was Diana's choice because she didn't think she could trust them because of all the lies Martin Bashir fed her. Not long ago, Patrick Jephson, thanks to an unrelenting journalist who is still working on it, he was given a large sum for damages which he donated all of it, then he could have his book published. I think Prince William spoke before parliament also. i feel really bad for William with everything going on w/ his wife and King Ch, he has to still hear negative stories about his mom. I am grateful for Catherine's family to love on him.

Firstly, most of her other books were about individuals, Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor etc. When asked about the Hollywood royals, (for Pete's sake!) she roped all the royals together and said that after her research and writing the book, she was pleased she is under the stars and stripes. Perhaps her research in recent years in more based on media accounts and not the history books provided to her at the start of her research.
Great book review, I really appreciate your hard work and my increased understanding of the Royal Family. Thank you. 🎉
I totally agree with you about the early seasons of The Crown. They depict an era for which I was not alive, and even though I was born in the mid 70s, I only came to know of the existence of the Royal Family with Diana’s wedding.
Wait, wait, wait!!!! Did you just prove that all Diana's jewellery went to Prince William. So Haz never did have the Sapphire ring, and Haz never had the Cartier tank watch, nor the Aquamarine ring, nor the Butterfly earrings, nor any of Diana's bracelets. Meg is wearing all fake replicas as we suspected. With Missan H's connections at Cartier from way back as an unofficial rep, it explains a lot.
No, what she said was that the jewellery that Diana was given as official gifts by visiting dignitaries and when abroad on tours was kept separate for the next Princess of Wales, because it was given to her as representative of the royal family, eg it was not gifted to her personally in her own right. So, after the divorce it became part of the Crown collection. Her own personal jewellery collection, including her sapphire engagement ring and the aquamarine ring which she bought for herself after her divorce, and all the other items you list, was indeed what the boys shared out with each other after her death.
@@Polopony Thanks for clarifying, I wondered too!
My ears perked as well, about the jewellery!!!
@Polopony Thank you for the clarification. I did misunderstand what was said then.
Fabulous video Shauna...Thankyou so much! 👍🇦🇺👍
I think Nigeria (and possibly Jamaica) is the only country where the Frosty-Todgers could role play a royal tour, and that is because of their friend Misan Harriman's connections. I can't imagine India or New Zealand inviting them for a royal progress.
In a taped phone conversation between Diana and one of her lovers where she says, she was worried Fergie was using her for her own purposes. Maybe Willaim heard her telling people that, and that is why he stills thinks its true.
The Royal Family let’s their work speak for itself as well
Can’t wait for your next review !!
Brilliant fun thanks Shauna. You are an entertainer. And fun.
Glad you enjoyed it
I WOULD LOVE A REVIEW OF PATRICK JEPHSON'S BOOK
Thank you Shauna! I purchased the book on your advice and really enjoyed it. There was some iffy info, in my opinion, but I enjoyed the read. I've never been disappointed yet with your recommendations.❤
More like a diatribe , an agenda to find as much dirt as possible and ignore the possible good ? I’ve never been a royalist in any form but I tire of the relentless negativity and cynical journalism that always has a clear motive behind the writing rather than an objective , humourous , human relating of relations and events .
You did a fabulous job , thank you very much. I can't wait to see what you review next. I'm with you about Fergie , at first I wasn't that interested in her, but now I can't wait for the next video.
Agree with you about THE CROWN series......I too was bored during the second bit !!!!!
Thanks for the read through of this Kelly book.........I've enjoyed it........
Wow! 75 million! Harry defo is his mother’s son! Well said!
Where on earth did Diana get her reputation as such a saint? She really was not. She played the press, and played the RF. Horrific mother as well.
Maybe the Spencer girls didn’t want their dad to give them away.
I did enjoy this book Shauna, thank you!
It’s funny how Wallis Simpson seems to make an appearance with each generation 😂
I think it’s a pity the strict rules for royals and divorced royals don’t seem to be in place now it would put the gruesome twosome in their place.
I also think it’s best to remember Diana for the many good qualities she possessed and not focus too much and think of her too harshly now she is gone and can’t defend herself
Well done. Thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Another great review, Shauna!
😊wonderful talk Shauna
Love hearing your book reviews. Love. …Still, thanks for wrapping up Kitty Kelly. The book was informative, and explains some of the Fergie and Diana legacies. But, I’m over it. Just feels like too much - in the internet age. Looking forward to your next choice!
I'm so glad!
Is that the David Essex album, behind you and to your left, that has "Rock On"? He was so cute and he's still quite handsome. Thank you Shauna for the wonderful book review.
Love David Essex
Thank you so much, thoroughly enjoyed it.😊
FANTASTIC REVIEW. Thank you 👏👏👏👏👏!!!!!
Love your reviews. You say what you like, what you like less, what is edifying, all backed up with dispassionate reason and you leave your audience free to decide for themselves which side to take. Thank you.
Brilliant as always….ty
Your book reviews are brilliant!!!❤
What annoyed me was that fadi was saying that Diana and dodi was murder, and the dodi where inline and where got engaged to dodi and was in the family way . All of which where untrue. Fadi was trying to get money and publicity from the death.
Thank you for the review of Kitty Kelly’s book, Shauna. Her story was really interesting and provided another perspective from “The Housekeepers Diary”
You do wonderfully reviewing books. I enjoy it so much. Thank you.
Yes, Shauna! As I was reading, I kept thinking of scenes of The Crown! It sure seemed like they took a lot from this book. Glad you wrapped it up, my library book is overdue! Thanks, Shauna!
Haven't watched all of this vid yet, but I've taken a liking to the thumb nail headline. One of my sayings - to express shock and annoyance at an arising situation is "pickled walnuts and buckets of blood"., both not nice things........ or I swear.... Anyhoo..... I like "knickers up the flag pole". I will add it to my list.
