    I think it is of note that in the past the giraffe faction had a lot more players experimenting with different builds, including moose-like builds and the camelid faction did venture even more into height based builds. But alas, the days of the Neogene and Pleistocene expansions are gone and many factions are stuck with only a few of the different builds they once explored.

  • @cactusguy4363
    @cactusguy4363 11 месяцев назад +31

    I never would've thought that the giraffe was such a social or even political build. The fact they work in groups is one thing, but other players have to reapect them as well. Their ability to alert others of incoming threats is vital in a server like Africa. And even then, they pose little to no threat to any allies of other species since they grab higher resources. Interesting build!

  • @snapclub8751
    @snapclub8751 Год назад +520

What's more, for the most part, they are comfortable being around and/or tolerating a human being's presence, as if they are self-aware of the fact that they are more than capable enough to kill you.

    • @HT-vd4in
      @HT-vd4in Год назад +10

      @@jampacc Well of course there are different amounts of cervical (7), thoracic (12), lumbar vertebrae (5) and a sacral leg (5 synostosed into one bone) and a coccyx (animals with tails have more coccygeal vertebrae, some humans have 5 and some have only 3; animals with long tails like dogs have more than 20)
      Some animals have lumbar vertebrae as thoracic vertebra and sacral vertebrae as lumbar vertebrae, so they have a few more or less of those, but cervical vertebrae are always 7 no matter how long or short the neck is. There are also holes between the vertebrae, where nerves get out from the spinal chord. These are called intervertebral foramen and every IVF-nerve innervates a specific skin areal (somatosensitive), called dermatopes and innervates a specific muscle (somatomotoric) there is also the parasympathetic (viscerosensoric and -motoric; only in the cranial brain: brain nerves (III, VII, IX and X) and the sacral IVF-nerves. The sympathetic nerves only comes from the thoracic and lumbar IVFs.
      Also many nerves have different qualities and different IVF-bases and come/project from/to different brain cores. Neuro anatomy is incredibly complex and I have still so much to learn 🙇🏻‍♂️

    When you hear the question "What is the most OP animal", the first thing that comes to mind is probably Lion, Elephant or Rhino but after thinking about it for a while, Giraffe is a really safe and strong build.
    It's certainly up there in the ranking, just a bit underappreciated.

      @@cem_kaya Its definitely viable and by far the greatest of the tank builds in terms of pure defensive stats, but near AFK playstyles arent for me personally. And unlike most whale species theyre rather solitary and dont travel in pods of multiple whales, so its a pretty lonely life once you reach maturity just sucking up krill as you float at a relaxed pace between the arctic and equator, no real pvp either other than the human ship and fishing net dodging minigames. But all that being said, its certainly one of the easiest builds to accrue one of the highest experience point totals in history by the end of your playthrough once you do reach adulthood.

    Giraffe build OP plz nerf.
    Also, OMG the outro sounded super familiar to me, and when I searched it, I realized I watched Eyewitness A LOT as a kid, both in school with my classmates and at home, but I could not remember what it was called, so really thank you for putting that in there and the name of the theme as well, I loved that show when I was a kid!
    I also love these interpretations of real life being an MMORPG, it's great! XD

    I can't believe you didn't mention they have the Ruminant perk. That's probably what let them beat out the other treetop browser mammals. It might not be flashy, but any perk that improves the EXP you get from grazing, or eating in general, is a great one.
