@Ali Bjorn its a scam bruh
@Ali Bjorn nobody cares.
This seems to be interesting to go over while I am in quarantined season due to the corona virus.
Thank you khan Academy. Wonderful clear explanation.
Vitamin A does alot more than "Vision" even helps greatly with the reproductive system. so in men Vitamin A could be good if you have a low sperm count and for women it helps during Periods. Vitamin D which more like a hormone than a vitamin helps in Regulation of Mood, Increases Testosterone levels too. Vitamin A and D should be taken together regularly. an amazing source is "Cod Liver Oil" in which you'd be taking 1 tea spoon daily. (because it's that rich in the two vitamins. taking more than 1-2 teaspoons a day could lead to Vitamin A toxicity)
Amazing content as always, but what I am struggling with at the moment is mineral antagonism - is there anything on your channel that explains this as I am finding it very hard to memorise all of them!
You are angels of our lives! All youtube channels and websites that are teaching medicine are NOT free and medical students like can not afford them! You are giving extremely high quality medical education for FREE! And you do not know how many students, especially talented poor medical students, are praying for you every single day!♥🙏 I will donate to this channel and Khan academy medicine channel regularly since I will have became a doctor and will afford it one day. Now I can not donate even one dollor due to some complicated reasons but I remember your favour forever and will give it back one day for everyday
Does not Khan academy MEDICINE have a website full of its videos? I really wish that I could watch all of Khan academy medicine's videos on another platform except RUclips as RUclips is filtered and limited in Iran by the government and we can get connected to it just once a month and it hurts as I need your videos as a medical student!

thank you but i wonder why you said fat soluble vitamins are easily taken in overdose than water soluble since water soluble is not stored but easily excreted into urine but fat soluble stays in the body and increase intake causes toxicity
I appreciate kahn academy so much.

0:45 "organic is just a very fancy way of saying if there are compounds that involve carbons in them"
CO2 is a compound that contains carbon and it's considered inorganic
Carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, (and nitrogen) would be more accurate
Nah, carbon tetrachloride is organic and does not contain either hydrogen or oxygen
Are you saying Sal means that organic means that it must strictly have more than one carbon? Because that's still incorrect; see the example above (CCL4)
Trinitrophenylnitramine Methane has one carbon molecule, yet it's considered organic
CO2 is considered inorganic by convention. It’s listed as an exception. Not sure of the reason why. Probably because it’s too stable and doesn’t get involved as an input in the processes of life. Everywhere you see CO2 it’s basically a waste product.
but where is vitamins B gone in the water soluble vitamin group
Peeved because he didn’t circle the zinc!
Where is Vitamin B ?
Bollywood Movies vitamin B is not just one vitamin, it is a complex of 8 separate vitamins that at the same time correspond with eachother. In other words if one b vitamin is deficient, it will have an affect the entire complex. Perhaps it would be addressed in another video.
8 B vitamins
Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Biotin, Pantothenic Acid, B12, B6, Folate (have a test today, just want to write them down)
