Safety is always so important among the teams and on the track during IMSA races, but has anyone else here ever operated a forklift? Watching all those people running around the business end of the forks while improvising ways of using incredible amounts of energy to move massive, brittle objects got my heart racing more than the race! I'm glad the drivers were ok, but I'm impressed that no one was injured during that track wall fix. I think Sebring needs a better plan for track wall repairs. The wall design worked spectacularly well! Those concrete segments broke away just the right amount. Just... the fix was frightening.

I would like to suggest redoing much of the curbing at Sebring over the coming offseason. In places where the runoff is grass, of which there are many at this track, no advantage is gained by going off track, so there is no reason for the curbs to be as aggressive as they are. As it stands now, the curbs can launch cars high enough that they're in the air right up until they hit the tire wall, meaning they can't brake or steer to try to lessen the impact. If the curbs at turn 3 were more like those at, say, turn 14, the incident between the GRT Lamborghini and the Allegra Mercedes would likely have been far less severe or even avoided entirely, resulting in significantly reduced injury risk, repair cost, and FCY time.

Yes, they did. In 2017 and 2018, Extreme Speed Motorsports ran 2 Nissan DPi's built on Ligier chassis. That team then folded after sponser Tequila Patrón, which had been sold to Bacardi by ESM co-owner Ed Brown, pulled out of racing. However, CORE Autosport bought one of the cars and raced it in 2019 before owner Jon Bennett temporaily retired from driving, though he's back this year in an LMP3.

Thanks for all the constructive feedback you've provided Garry. A reason to participate in sports car racing for manufacturers is in part due to the fact that they can test new technology. @Garry-pz5kh 3 года назад

@@imsaofficial Hey IMSA official It's not constructive feedback. Is more of a true fact. I do not support modern motorsports. Eventually this so called modern tech filters into production cars & why the price of passenger cars keep going up! All my vehicles are over 20years old & they run just fine. That's why I only support vintage motor sports. You IMSA & FIA have a bad habit of doing your OWO & Pro UN Governments will on the Climate Change Lie! So you have become political in a sense. Hybrid & Electric racing cars or cars that purely run on Methanol is no accident. That 917 is still faster & has better handling qualities then all those modern chassis combined + who said that Michelin has the right & sole monopoly on supplying tires to all the racing teams. Good Year Eagles are still the No1 racing tire. A Corvette w/ Michelins what a joke. Nothing is right anymore! I still remember when Firestone & a 917 won the 1970 Lemans. I guess its not your fault you only work for IMSA. I am still stuck in the past & refuse to accept any tech. That's why I still use a flip phone & that's because of wife & sister other wise.
