Such a shame it got the boot. I loved the filter on this thing and using it on the 808 was pure magic. Plus the 303's had so much depth and power from the compressor, filter, and distortion. I honestly think Roland was just jealous that their software sounded better than their hardware even with the Boutique updates.
Bought the original with my first PC. Wasn't really sure what Rebirth was but spent £150 on it and £400 for the PC - 3GB hd and 4MB RAM. Besides best purchase ever (Rebirth) still have it now

I have it for the ipad ...it’s still a superb app..and fills a hole when I go on holiday and can’t take my equipment with me ...this is one of the programs that started me off making techno on an computer..progressed on to reason 2.5 all the way up to 10 ..also joining the ableton community around 7 and been solely with ableton for the last 4 or 5 years ...it’s only the last 6 month I’ve went back to trying to make music without a computer...just as an experiment...and am enjoying jamming again...but rebirth started it many many years ago 😁👌👌

If you mean what was he using to record it.. it was Audacity - a freeware audio editor. (The sequencing is all done in rebirth via grouping patterns together).
Hi. I installed it on windows 10 which will be similar I guess. I think I googled some advice on how to get it work on recent windows. I am not sure if you can download it anywhere at all. I found it on one of my old CDs.
@Max Designs in w7 newest rewire.dll and or maybe rebirth.dll is required, afaik, and with some virtual disk works nice i think it can work even without virtual disc, but i was lazy, and works enough

I remember me and my friends would mod rebirth and fill the drum machine with our own sounds.
