actually when you add up parts on PC part picker, take into account what PC places charge per hour to assemble a PC plus if he bought parts at retail has to add a certain percentage to make money on said parts plus taxes and shipping plus the monitor being about a grand itself and what video cards where going for back then cause of mining, its not that over priced.

By 2018 that CPU had been out for a couple of years already. Lastly, it doesn't cost that much to ship a PC, come on!
5ean 5ean Depends on what you consider 4K. 4K typically refers to the horizontal pixel density. Technically it's 4K, but it's not what most people think of when saying 4K. Hell, Samsung makes a '4K' monitor that only has a 1080 vertical PD. And it's not exactly cheap.
Psyrecx 4k uhd is 3840x2160. UW is 3480x1600. 4k UHD or UW4k is EXACTLY what people mean when they say 4k. They do NOT mean 4096x2160, which is DCI 4k, also known simply as 4k technically speaking. That being said, absolutely no one who is a regular consumer is referring to this when they say 4k. Only those who are in the film and video production industry (I don't mean RUclips, as RUclips has adopted 4k UHD as their standard "4k") or those who have massive home theaters with screens that aren't far away from the seating use this in any capacity. Is it technically the only true 4k? Sure. But absolutely no regular consumer or even small time producer is referring to this when they say 4k. They are most certainly referring to 4k UHD or UW4k.
When I think of 4k ultrawide it needs to have more pixels horizontally than the 16:9 vatiant. 3840 x 1600 isnt 4k ultrawide.....its slightly better 1440p Ultrawide. If we are talking about a true upgrade over 16:9 4k then the resolution should be closer to 5k horizontally while maintaining 2160 vertical pixels. So I will say it again 4k Ultrawide doesnt exist becuase it isnt better or offer an advantage over 4k 16:9....unless you want less pixels and less pixel density.
Cory Goodman What something is commonly referred to as, and actually is are two different things. Just because something isn't commonly referred to as something, doesn't mean it isn't. Also, just because you in particular don't do something, doesn't mean no one does. You're not the center of the universe. Any display resolution with a horizontal pixel density at or near 4,000 pixels is technically 4K, it didn't matter what your opinion is of it is. 4K still refers to the horizontal pixels and you cannot change that. A decent example of this is, Samsung's CHG90 monitor. It's listed as being 4K, and guess what it's resolution is...
Psyrecx No.....That Samsung monitor is 1080p. No one refers to the Asus PG34AQ as a 3440 monitor... its a 1440p. 4k is a resolution *Both vertical and horizonral....not a label. The standard for 4k is 3840 x 2160.....if you dont meet that standard then you are not 4k. Its the same reason why Xbox One X upsacling isnt 4k. 3840 x 1600 thinks its 4k then 1. It comes up short on the pixels 2. It completely misses the point of why people buy ultrawide in the first place....having a larger aspect ratio. That monitor just stretches the image instead of showing off more of the sides. So in conclusion...youre 100% wrong. Im not interested in this marketing speech. If Samsung tries to sell you a 1080p monitor and market it as 4k tell them "Im not stupid, thats a 1080p 32:9 monitor."
@Jordan Rodrigues The cost includes an estimated 7% in sales tax, and a 15% markup (probably profit and labor costs combined). So the cost is over $5000, yet still under $6000. (Note: the keyboard and mouse together costs $330, though I am not sure why anyone would want a $210 mouse even if it was made by razer and looks cool...)
Hah, my Pentium D 945 3.4GHz, 4GB DDR2, HD 7570 1GB GDDR5 exceeds Crysis Recommended Settings. EDIT: All but the CPU exceed recommended. Core 2 Duo is recommended (Core 2 Quad+ is best). The CPU still exceeds minimum. Overclocked, the game can run 720p, no AA, no V-SYNC, all Medium with Motion Blur off for preference.
Actually kind of does. It's psychology. He doesn't want offers less than what he wants - he wants people bending to his will. He says he doesn't need to sell; that's a tell as well. He's the literal definition of the crying-wearing-a-happy-mask meme
It is kind of funny if you take it out of context, but it's no way to post an item for sale. It's the kind of shit I'd say to a friend. Not to a potential buyer for my PC. I did chuckle a bit though.
"Just here to entertain offers" - they say after specifying an outrageous "$6K firm cash only" stipulation. "Buy yourself a pre-built system for 300 and have it break in 14 months and cry" they say as if pre-built systems are actually that fragile. Or as if $300 is somehow so inferior to their hyper-inflated garbage. At $300 you at least have a working system that for most people is inexpensive enough to be replaced in two years or so to keep up with things later, or to be super thrifty with used hardware and get a pretty decent performer on a budget. Also his stupid response about running an AMD unit as if that was automatically a bad thing, somehow. Dunno if he's heard, but Ryzen is pretty damn competitive. This guy sounds like a colossal dickhole.
To be honest he sounds more like a child. Either inside, outside, or both. No real mature thinking adult would try to pull this shit and seriously think they could rip someone off unless they were just incredibly stupid, which would then make me question if he even built it in the first place.
This. Only make it an EVGA 2080 TI FTW3 with hydrocopper waterblock and a custom loop - including watercooling the CPU. Still less than 6K without peripherals.
NEW update: We're being sued by the owner of Grace Computers and Electronics LLC for this video. More on that here: ruclips.net/video/EiAA42lzs0M/видео.html
I wondered what the price currently would be for this PC and from looking closely at the video and his rough specs I got this.... pcpartpicker.com/list/wFJF29 Current Price $4474.16. Though I did go a touch deeper and added some stuff myself that were not searchable on PC Part Picker. This guy harassing you has no grounds what so ever. Fight the good fight man! Edit: Another user pointed out that the RGB Strip kit came with 4 strips, thought I priced the single strip kit before so here is the updated link. Also rewatched the dudes origional posting and tried to match it closer to what he described on craigslist pcpartpicker.com/list/jLzP4q Even so this does drop the price to $4100, further driving the point that the craigslist poster was gouging prices even further.
I watched both of your follow ups to this, his reaction plus the suing one. I hadn't seen this one yet but I had to go check it out to see what he got so bent out of shape over.
Dankwalker Gaming this person didn't even have the rainbow. It was something out of some 80s shitty circus colors. Rgb can be used intelligently to male your rug look cool, but just choosing random colors makes it look so ugly
Why would you build a system without rgb. Everyone knows that the led rgb strip supplies power to the gpu and motherboard, and then goes to the psu and to your wall. The led rgb strips power your house if you didnt know, why do you think every “gamer” room has those lights
Re-watching this (and proud to do so) , since the owner of this pc (and business) is blatantly butt hurt because he was called out for selling an overpriced pc , not to mention the audacity to try as sue you as a result of calling him out on an atrocious Craigslist deal ! ~ The verbiage used in the Craigslist ad was bad enough to STAY AWAY from said business (Grace Computer and Electronics) .
The craziest thing for a machine at this price is that the system was built by somebody in private. Of course he most likely knows what he was doing with that kind of hardware. But you still don't know how he really built it, since he's done it at at home. Some of the components could be damaged or slowly dying already and if something happens you're pretty much screwed - private seller, no warranty. I really don't like these PC configuration shops where you can create your system and let them build it for you. However, they're most certainly building in a professional environment, test the PC and provide a warranty. They're still going to charge you way too much money for it but no 2000$ and you'll get at least some kind of service.
What is it with computer parts where people have this notion that their "used" part should get that same price as a brand new part or even be more expensive.
@@-_pi_- IDK what you think I assume but I have built computers for years and fully understand how they function and age. Yet lets say I am totally ignorant for the sake of your argument and I had the option to buy a brand new in box ( shrink wrapped and untouched ) GPU for ( let's say ) $200 which was its MSRP. Then I saw someone selling that same GPU used for who knows how long ( it would be ignorant to believe what someone is saying online. They just want your money ) also for $200. Even some one new to computers can tell that is a bad deal. Parts can age and be abused in many ways. Warranties are not always a given on used parts either. When I buy used it better at the very least be 10% lower than new before I even think of purchasing it.
I just put this together on Newegg including a copy of windows 10, an rtx 2080 ti, an Asus 34" $900 monitor and it's less than $3700. I went down to my local pc repair shop and asked what they would charge to build this and they said $300 if I ordered everything and didn't forget something that would make their job more difficult. This brought the total cost of the system to $4000 with much better hardware but sticking to the posts specifications. The 1080ti is unavailable from major retailers so I upgraded my build to a 2080ti and I put the nicest 34" RoG monitor I could find in the price. The Razer Naga Epic Chroma is a mouse and I'm pretty sure it was a mistake in the listing. Had the PC shop ordered all of the parts and included their warranty they would have charged $4200 plus local sales tax. So this guy is asking for an extra $1800 for a pc with outdated hardware. I don't know any SI that would mark up a pc that much without including custom water cooling for the cpu and gpu and custom sleeved cables and even then it still would have only brought the price to about $4800. If this was a truly one of a kind rig in a case-labs case that you can't get any more, with a custom paint job, and unique custom water cooling I might be able to understand the $6000 price tag but not in the state that is listed in the add.
That is why I started watching channels like Science Studio, Linus Tech Tips, JayzTwoCents, Paul's Hardware ETC.... and went out and finally built my own rig ground up. Every time I would look for a decent Gaming PC on the Open Market these guys build a PC that maybe max cost 2 Grand and then want 5 Grand for it. actually when you add up parts on PC part picker, take into account what PC places charge per hour to assemble a PC plus if he bought parts at retail has to add a certain percentage to make money on said parts plus taxes and shipping plus the monitor being about a grand itself and what video cards where going for back then cause of mining, its not that over priced.
@@ATARI800XLfan well you go ahead an buy it. you don't need any experience at all to put a pc together and it only takes a couple of hours and to upcharge that much and for a generation old hardware. 4k Ultrawide...no wonder his asking price is 6k This dude has monitors that hasnt even been invented yet.
5ean 5ean
Depends on what you consider 4K.
Cory Goodman
What something is commonly referred to as, and actually is are two different things.
The video that started it all... after seeing ur video today the bullying in this ad makes so much more sense lol

@Lawrence Fandel Those were ADATA Ram and the monitor is definitely the 600dollars instead of the 1k. Pretty much covers other misc

Nobody is going to spend 2k on that when you can build the system for 2k without the RGB.

"Razer Naga *keyboard* "

Raze naga is mouse with few number buttons.
When I buy used it better at the very least be 10% lower than new before I even think of purchasing it.
i see these people on offer up and letgo app all the time
I just put this together on Newegg including a copy of windows 10, an rtx 2080 ti, an Asus 34" $900 monitor and it's less than $3700.
