- KENNY DALGLISH - LIVERPOOL FC - FOOTBALLS GREATEST
Kenneth Mathieson "Kenny" Dalglish MBE (born 4 March 1951) is a Scottish former footballer and manager. In a career spanning 22 years, he played for Celtic and Liverpool, winning numerous honours with both. He is Scotland's most capped player of all time with 102 appearances, and also Scotland's joint-leading goal scorer, with 30 goals. Dalglish began his career with Celtic in 1971, going on to win four Scottish First Divisions, four Scottish Cups and one Scottish League Cup with the club. In 1977, Liverpool manager Bob Paisley paid a British transfer record of £440,000 to bring Dalglish to Liverpool. His years at Liverpool were among the club's most successful periods, as he won six Football League First Divisions, two FA Cups, four League Cups, seven FA Charity Shields, three European Cups and one UEFA Super Cup. For these achievements and his style of play he was given the name King Kenny by Liverpool supporters. Dalglish became player-manager of Liverpool in 1985 after the resignation of Joe Fagan, winning a further three First Divisions, two FA Cups and four FA Charity Shields, before resigning from Liverpool in 1991. - Спорт
Simply the best player to ever wear the red strip of LFC. Legend.
Liverpool's greatest ever. No question
Watched his career from a far in New Zealand. Watched Stevie G’s career as well later on. Gerrad my captain. Kenny my king. YNWA.
I’m a staunch Evertonian and he’s the greatest player ever
Love it Paul. Everton have had their fair share of incredible players. Lampard is doing his best under difficult circumstances. Your Liverpool supporting brother.
Started supporting Liverpool when they signed Kevin Keegan, our super No. 7. Then they sold him to Hamburg five years later...how could they fill his boots? Well I shouldn't have worried, as they signed King Kenny...possibly the best British player ever...and surely the most humble and modest...the rest is history (as he wasn't a bad Player Manager either) Long live the gentleman that is King Kenny.
The King of Liverpool from Glasgow.
One of the all time great British players, would easily get into a top 10 British players of all time and without doubt the greatest Scottish player of all time (and that includes the Denis Law's, Graeme Souness's, Billy Bremner's, Dave Mackay's and Jim Baxter's of this world).
Olayinka Amara Top 3 British players in my book
Jimmy Johnstone.
One of Liverpool greatest players of all time Ynwa
King Kenny
Yeah, no one compares...
I'm a Mancunian Man City fan! And I still think Kenny is the greatest!
Liverpool's greatest. Played with his brain as well as his feet.
Kenny the king
What a player a mix of zola, bergkamp and shearer.one of very very best ever
great look at his life
#KING KENNY
legend
Love looking at his Celtic days. As most people (rightly) associate him with Liverpool. Different class
Wish I was old enough to remember when Scotland produced great players who could go and play for the biggest clubs down south - at the moment I think there's only 1 Scot at one of the biggest English clubs, wee Andy Robertson at Liverpool. love to see us get to a World Cup, sadly I don't see it happening as we are utter gash.
Gilmour, Armstrong, Fraser, McGinn, Tierney. All doing rather well!
@@YerDa67 Yea man, things are definitely looking up!!
Legenda. Zbog njega sam zavoleo Škotsku i Liverpul.
King kenny
Great upload. Cheers
I think Kenny is 100% Liverpool. He was lucky though. He came through a brilliant Celtic side. I still don't get why English club fans call Celtic a 'pub' side. That's up to them. 3 European finals. Some 'pub' team!
Utopian Dreamer Purely because the league is poor now. Was very high standard back in the day
I've never heard that phrase said about Celtic?Total nonsense they produced so many fantastic players and were the first team from the British Isles to achieve success in the European Champions Cup(that was the real trophy) .And what a match that was!!.
A side note, even though he was tremendously successful at Liverpool as a player and manager(and yrs later at Blackburn winning EPL)I was always puzzled why he didn't involve himself again at Celtic and Scottish football(even for the National team)??
England signed for the PL and ruined British football. Scotland always competed until England wanted the money.
I must agree 100% with you on the fact Celtic should never ever be called a pub team. It was celtic though that was lucky to get Dalglish as Rangers was stupid and sadly refused Dalglish.
Just watched this whole video on one percent
King Kenny !
Celtic didn't wear numbers on the back of their shirts in those days only on the shorts...
Wer ist hier um zu gucken wie er ausgesprochen wird
Danny McGrain was the best right back in Britain. Easy. And a gent.
I can verify that and I’m a Rangers man.
