SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- Texas official: Death count in San Antonio migrant tragedy climbs to 51.

The bodies of at least 46 people believed to be migrants who crossed into the United States from Mexico were found dead on Monday in and around a tractor-trailer that had been abandoned on the outskirts of San Antonio.
12 adults and 4 children were taken to local hospitals with heat-related injuries.
Texas Governor Greg blamed the deaths on President Biden.

This is normal on the USA Mexico Border for decades. They always want to enter the easier way because it is hard to get through the legal way for most of them. Yeah watched many documentaries for years. It is always sad because most of them wanted better life in greener pastures but do not have the proper qualifications at all. So they get treated harshly a lot. It is just sad.
As a fire fighter myself I can't comprehend what would have been going through the minds of the 4 or 5 fire fighters who were the first on the scene taking the initial call .. It must have been beyond over whelming once they looked inside the doors

Imagine the smell omg
When I open my 53 foot trialer to check inside while its 90 degrees outside it can easily get up to 150 to 200 degrees in there, especially with the sun beating down directly on to the trailer. There's absolutely no way to open those doors from the inside. Furthermore they say that was a refrigerated trailer that was not functioning. Those kinds of trailers are insulated meaning it could have easily reached 250 to 300 degrees in there with direct sunlight. Pure torture.

@@yminyru I usually take my phone with me when I climb in to inspect them just incase, they do need a safety latch just like the trunks of cars have, or at least a button to push for an alarm beacause there is a very crude multi step process involved in closing those doors that might not work for a simple lever on the inside.

I used to work at a small hospital in Sierra Vista AZ. Years ago we had one of the earliest "drop off" trailers near us with 100 casualties. The trailer had been left locked no hope of anyone escaping the heat in summer. We called in every possible employee but there was no hope we could cope with that many deceased. We were in shock thinking about emptying refrigerators in the cafeteria even. Then the State Troopers got hold of the governor who connected with hospitals in Tucson and the entire trailer was taken there. No survivors. God bless the families impacted and those dealing with this tragedy. Paying for those who will deal with the memories. Prating for healing for the survivors.

I’m Hispanic, and parents want a better future for their children so they come to America hoping to have a better life and a better future for their children. I think in situations like this the migrants are in the hands of the smugglers and probably dont know the exact ways they will be transported. So all of a sudden the smugglers say ok get in the back of this truck and everyone just goes along with the crowd. Not much choice for the people and once the doors are shut they were truly trapped. That's how I imagine the scenario anyways.
