As noted above, on this day in 1964 {April 11th} John Andrea performed "Cathy Can I Take You Home?" on the Dick Clark ABC-TV Saturday-afternoon program, 'American Bandstand'...
The month before 20th Century - Fox Records released his "Cathy Can I Take You Home?", b/w "Athena", neither side made Billboard's Top 100 chart...
Five months later on September 12th, 1964 he would be back on 'Bandstand' performing "Every Heart", it didn't make the Top 100 either...
The following year in 1965 he would make seven appearances on the ABC-TV weekly rock oriented program, 'Shindig! and also one appearance on the national syndicated television program, 'Hollywood A Go Go'...

This whole act reminds me of Mike Clifford...And funny how this song title has the name "Cathy" in it as did Mike Clifford's.

This catchy tune was written by Howard Epstein. Howard went on to become a renowned and award winning writer and producer of television commercials for Ford, Burger King and HBO.

Love those tight pants!!! Anyone ever know what happened to him? The only thing Google tells me is about this song and some other appearances he made on "Shindig".
