- In this video, I take the BetaFPV Pavo20 to the next level by making it ductless! Initially, I only planned to keep it as a pusher, but I couldn't resist modifying it even more. Join me on this wild ride as I keep calling it the Pavo Pico and manage to cut the crap out of my drone. Don't miss the chaos and creativity!

Great video! Are you going to do a video of exactly how you modified it?
Didn’t plan on it, but I may 3D print better parts and replace the cut pieces to further reduce weight and improve the aesthetics. I will definitely upload that and how I swapped everything in Betaflight. Thanks!
Everything flys better without ducts. Try a tattu 3s 550mah. Lighter, smaller and doesn't block the air flow.
Also the iflight defender 20 props will make this perform better.

What do you think about putting bigger motors on the Pavo20? For example 1204 or 1404 or 1206? BetaFPV has a F405 AIO 20A 2-4S board, so maybe swap that with the original and go 4S with 5000-6000kv motors, any thoughts?
I think that it’s an interesting approach and might give it a try. I definitely think 4S is the best option here as the O3 unit is so heavy.
As a fellow freestyler, and person who has a drone business this isnt the drone I would buy if I was gonna do freestyle. However, I would use this drone for tight space drone tours or something more cinematic. Really good video though!
I absolutely agree. It is a drone I already had on hand and wasn’t really satisfied with how it flew. Overall wouldn’t buy the Pavo20 to solely convert, but was a fun project. Thank you!
MInd explaining how you Flipped the motors in betaflight?? I think I know how but want to be sure.
Sure! Go to the “configuration” tab and look for “board alignment” on the top right of this tab. Then the appropriate “Yaw” “Pitch” and “Roll” values can be input to make the board point “forward” in any direction want. I use the preview they have of the drone and the arrow pointing in the correct direction to help me if I misalign the board.
@@HeyMoreFPV Thanks got it to work! Actaully in configuration I turned the roll from 180 to 0 and then flipped the motor order 👌I still have the ducts on for now for test runs and to get use to it before I make the big cut.
@@HeyMoreFPV btw I highly recommend Gemfan 2023 2 inch tri-blades for the pavo20.. Won't regret it!

What about undermounting the battery? Idk but it feels more balanced that way?

Thoughts on stripping down the O3 for weight?
@@unicorngizzard3285 I want to do this, but with my O3 underneath, a crash might destroy it. If I do make the O3 naked it would have to be mounted elsewhere.

That’s cool, but it’s not a freestyle drone. Just grab a freestyle drone. Why take the ducts off. It’s not a weakness at all. It’s not designed for freestyle. Why did you buy it? Lol.
