It was also later revealed at Blizzcon that he later upgraded his organic heart as well, hence why he says “Both hearts pumping.” and also why he appears to be much bigger and stronger than his younger self in his Origin story.

One of the more common peformance enhancement in sports (and very illegal as well) is actually method called "Blood doping" which increases red blood cells mass to deliver more oxygen done with EPO-hormones.
I actually find Mauga very interesting because he's unlike any villain we've seen. He seems very jovial and friendly. And we do know he has a soft spot for Baptiste since they were buddies when they were both a part of Talon.

I believe Ken's first pronunciation is correct. Mauga is the latest villain, and he's not just evil: he's a psychopath. Him and combat medic hero, Baptiste, fought alongside each other under Talon. Their connection was so close that Mauga was actively mentioned 4 years ago (we've been waiting that long to play him!) Bap stole Talon's tech and fled after disagreeing with the organization's brutality. Now Mauga and the rest of Talon are hunting him.
You guys should react to all invasion mission cutscenes in overwatch 2. They are snippets of the pve mode that overwatch 2 has brought along with the base game and they're pretty solid. Definitely recommend checking that out! 😊
Mauga has a lot of lines mentioning keeping the players waiting in his trailer because he was actually teased a long time ago, and was expected to release when Ramattra did. Just a little bit of cheek from Blizzard since they released him a little later than we expected.

Hi, So when he say's "sei koekiki", it's a word we Samoan's say to someone, who's trying to rush off somewhere but we want them to stay and wait (especially when we drinking, Lol)....but he's very assertive with his tone, which suits the game 😊😊
He's Baptiste's friend who didn't leave Talon when Baptiste betrayed the organization, augmentation is very common to this world and many characters have them like Soujourn, Genji and Torbjorn for example which is why they glossed over that although his augmentation may have affected his mind adversely (like cyber-psychosis in Edgerunners coincidentally) And though the trailer is framed light-heartedly it's not a good message being delivered here. Mauga's a terrorist and a sociopath who uses his destructive tendencies as a facade. Nihilist kind of outlook that justifies murder because he believes there is no goodness in the world and that its a playground for chaos, he's basically a more direct Joker in some respects. He has a penchant for friends though and refuses to kill people he's close to out of twisted loyalty, but everyone else is fair game.
He also uses his brash and outgoing personality to hide his tactical prowess and cunning. He's smarter than he wants you to think he is, and is counting on people underestimating his intelligence in order to gain the advantage.

I've been calling him Maw-Gah, I've heard others call him Maow-Guh, but apparently it's pronounced 'Ma-Oon-Ga' but like 'Mahnga' (also Echo calls him Maowma hilariously enough).
Honestly a real shame what happened to this game. They have such great story telling but it all feels like a slap in the face when they gutted the pve half of the game when the whole point of Overwatch 2 was to sell the pve half of the game. Guess the Chinese market got screwed too. Kind of earned that 11% positive on Steam even though that was review bombing.

Just for clarity, Mauga appeared in an Overwatch comic several years ago, which is why he says "sorry to keep you waiting" in his reveal vid.
