Ramattra is definitely more of an antihero. His story is tragic and he fights for justice for his race. Even though he unleashed Null Sector on the world, it was really the only way left that he can get humanity to understand his pain. His Ultimate ability voice line is “suffer as I have” and he also has another voice line where he says “take everything from them”. He wants humanity to understand him, and he’s actually a respectable character personality wise. He’s surprisingly friendly to other characters.
Well, important to specify that he's friendly to mostly the non-human characters. His interaction with Wrecking Ball is amazing in that regard. But he's certainly civil with the other human characters, even if it's obvious he doesn't like them.
He might just be the best character upon later release. Rammatra's lore is rich and leads to connections long time players have wondered about. His gameplay agrees with his lore. He can run short, mid, and even long range to at least moderate degrees, even if it means he's not the best in any particular circumstance. If he was built to lead, it would make sense he could understand and adapt, yet not have the lethality of someone specialized.

Ramattra is honestly fantastic in terms of lore, he is responsible for Null Sector's attack on King's Row, but he did it response to how Omnics are treated by Humanity. Another cool thing is that he is best friends with Zenyatta.

That event takes place near the end days of Overwatch as Reinhardt's squad was not even allowed to be there, they snuck in and caused more controversy, even if they saved the day. Retribution makes their problems worse as it revealed Blackwatch.

First was just before the king's row uprising (they show him and humans doing what I think is preparing to build his statue that's in kings rown) and the second was when he unfortunately gets assassinated. I don't remember if it was an in-game quote or his little comic but he does call Mondatta a fool and didn't believe human and omnic relationships could work so that's why he was okay with basically sabotaging his fellow comic brother from saving other omnics
“I was at the mercy of Humans before Zenyatta, Never again…” Ramattra was a special type of Omnic that was not created by Humans but was created by the God AI that tried to overthrow Humans. After reaching sentience Ramattra went to Nepal and develop a close relationship with Zenyatta and they both consider themselves as close as brothers. He legitimately tried to live peacefully among humans and coexist with those close to him. After enduring the cruelty of Humans during the war and after and seeing his people being outright destroyed and celebrated, he had enough and founded Null Sector to fight for better life for people. My favorite quote from him is when he transforms in his hulking form. “I’ll speak to you in a language you understand, VIOLENCE!”
Dont forget that it was actually Ramattra that introduced Zenyatta to the ways of Monk-hood. Ramattra was there first and found a 'zenyatta in need' and helped him find his way before all the craziness went down

The robot who got shot by widow maker was named mundatta. He was the mentor to zenyatta and ramattra. He was basically the political figure head for peace between omnics and humans. He was gaining so much traction and popularity that the idea was almost true, which is why widow maker was tasked on killing him to break that dream in pieces and create further discord, which was how things got further rather then closer, all because of that assassination.
He deserved one the most I think. he's the only character out of the 4 new heroes o the game that contribute heavily to the story. We didnt need a cringy shrine maiden cinematic. We needed an Omnic that is literally creating the conflict that inspires the campaign we are supposed to be getting
One of my favorite in game interactions between Ramattra and Bastion (The robot from the last bastion video) is: Ramattra: "You appear to have a bird following you, Why?" Bastion: Beeps and Boops Ramattra: "Interesting. Well if I see any twigs, I will let you know." The interactions between them gives Ramattra a fun side which is cool to see
If my memory serves the robot (Omnic) that was assassinated by Widowmaker was Mundatta. Who was a mentor and like a father figure to both Rammatra and Zenyatta. His assassination is actually the prequel to Rammatras story. There was already violence against the Omnics because of the deep hatred humanity has for them after the Omnic crisis where the robots rebelled and killed millions of people. Mundatta and Zenyatta tempered Rammatras anger against the humans who would destroy the innocent omnics but after his death Rammatra could take it "No more..."

The assassination of the omnic Monk Mondatta and the connection to Ramattra is a very good point and goes back a long way. Ramattra introduced Zenyatta to the Shambali where they became monks under the tutelage of Mondatta. Dissatisfied with the treatment of Omnics and unable to make peace with it, Ramattra leaves the Shambali. Zenyatta stays back. On his travels, Ramattra's anger deepens and he makes new allies that want to help him secure a 'better' future for Omnics. They become Null Sector. In one big show of strength in London, known as the King's Row Uprising, Overwatch intervenes and stops the Null Sector takeover and in the process kill one of Ramattra's close friends. In the aftermath, he's enraged and it gets worse when Mondatta goes on TV to denounce the attack and says that those Null Sector are terrorists and bad guys (simplifying). Ramattra is livid at Mondatta and when talking to his allies he says that other Omnics should be forced to join them and that he will make that happen. His allies feel he's gone over the edge, even in grief, and so they leave his side. This basically leaves him at the helm of Null Sector alone. Now, there's a strong possibility that he ordered for the assassination of Mondatta but whether or not he did request it, he is seen talking to Doomfist (Widowmaker's boss) and the two are basically going to work together in some fashion. At the very least, Ramattra is fine working with the person who oversaw the assassination of his former mentor. Doomfist and Ramattra also have this meeting at the Temple of Anubis which is interesting because Anubis is the name of the rogue God A.I. that was responsible (as far as we know) for the Omnic Uprising (which humanity on the brink of extinction by overriding Omnic programming and taking it away from human control).

The story mode content for Overwatch comes out soon, and Ramattra is the main villain it seems. He leads Null Sector, a revolutionist group of omnics. We fought them at some points before in OW1 and Ramattra had a brief face reveal during that but we never knew his name until he came out in OW2. He's a really well written villain who you can genuinely see how he has valid points. He's an empathetic person who became radicalized and outraged by the world. Plus Ramon Tikaram does an amazing job voicing him, one of the most badass characters in the game. He's super fun to play, too. In the Overwatch 2 launch cinematic you watched, Zero Hour. You see them fighting the purple/white omnics. That's Ramattra's group. Also the term "hero" in overwatch is just used to refer to any playable character, even the villains. Almost half the roster are villains, or morally grey actually, only a select few are actually in the organization called Overwatch. You're right that there is also a connection between the Alive cinematic where Widow shoots Mondatta. Mondatta was the leader of the Shambali, the Omnic group who studied peace, that Ramattra was part of. Ramattra felt frustrated at their inaction to do anything about the violence against omnics, since peace clearly wasn't working, and so he left them. The new map they showed was also the Shambali Monastery. There's another playable, notable Shambali character called Zenyatta who has been in the game since OW1. Him and Ramattra are seen as Yin and Yang, with Zenyatta being far more peaceful. Both him and Ramattra have very interesting voiceline interactions. You should react to some of the voiceline interactions because they give some fun and interesting insight between the characters!
They name "hero" every platable character in the game, but there a lot of villians along them, like Moira, Reaper, Doomfist... Ramattra is like the Magneto of Overwatch universe U should check the Storm Rising event story, Ramattra first apperence in the lore
So, minor detail, but Overwatch (the game and the devs) refer to all the playable characters as "Heroes," kind of like how all League of legends characters are called "champions." In that way, Ramattra - along with Reaper and several other villainous characters - are "Heroes" within the jargon of the game. But you're absolutely on point, Ramattra's a villain!

I think the trailer says "hero" more so because that's what they refer to playable characters as, like I'm pretty sure even Moira and Doom Fist were introduced that way and they are for sure villans.
Ramattra is such a interesting and complex character He was built by the Anubis god AI during the omni-crisis (the war), after the war he went to the shambali (zen and the omnic leader who was assassinated by widow maker, group of peaceful omnics) he grew close to zen but he disagreed with the leads ideology and eventually left, after leaving and seeing the violence and treatment towards omnics by most of humanity he joined up with like minded omnics and founded ‘null sector’ the omnic extremist group that attacked London in the pve missions and is going to be the primary antagonists of the upcoming pve story mode, doomfist met with ramattra to join together null sector and talon (the other main antagonists) which is where his story ended until ow2s time where’s he’s back and carrying out his plan of full invasion across the world
Ramattra's primary fire is his staff: The Void Accelerator. It fires small projectiles with no damage falloff so it does the same damage mot matter how far it goes. His secondary fire is the Void Barrier, he summons a barrier with 1000 health that only lasts for 4 seconds, so it's meant to be used to block important abilities. His first ability is Ravenous Vortex, he throws a small grenade that explodes into a field when it hits the ground, dealing some damage and pulling all enemies caught in it towards the ground, and preventing them from jumping. His second ability is Nemesis Form. He takes on a hulking form that grants him 20% faster movement speed and 225 armor, as well as replacing his primary and secondary fires with new abilities for 8 seconds. His primary fire in Nemesis form is Pummel. Ramattra punches in front of him, sending out short range shockwaves that pierce through both enemies and barriers, making it unblockable. His secondary fire in Nemesis Form is Block. By holding right-click, Ramattra crosses his arms and takes 75% less damage from all frontal attacks. Ramattra's ultimate ability is Annihilation. Ramattra enters Nemesis Form and creates a field around him that slowly damages enemies. The timer is only 3 seconds, but can be extended as long as Ramattra is damaging enemies in the field. His voice line when activating his ultimate is "Suffer! As I have!"
about the confusion about the "hero" moniker: "Hero" is just the term for playable character in the game, like "Champion" in League of Legends for example, so both heroes and villains storywise are refered to as "hero" in a gameplay sense :)

If you look at things from his perspective, you start to wonder wether he’s actually a villain or not, and I’ll say that he’s just broken…which is really sad, specially when his voice line “I will break before I yield” kind of ties to that, he’s broken…yet he can’t let go of his dream of giving a better life to all Omnics. Another one of his voice lines when he’s killed and then respawns, he says: “I will die a thousand times if it saved my people.” You can clearly see the character is broken and he will stop at nothing until his dream is fulfilled.
Personally really love Remattra! His lore is interesting, since it introduced him nnot only has Nullsector's leader, but also the fact that omnics aren't just a factoryline product. They are as unique in who they are as humans, which is why he's so forceful in protecting them. I thnk that doesn't necessarily make him a villain. If people would stop attacking Omnics he would probably stop as well. It wouldn't surprise me either him he ends up taking over a single country and makes it omnic only at some point. Doctor Doom/Black Adam style. His gameplay has been fun too! It feels great to run around with him and punch people 😂 He was a but underpowered at release, but they gave him some pretty decent buffs to make him viable.

Peace can often shift into Chaos. Ramattra is no exception. The fact he wants peace is a noble thing. To meditate on it, is courageous. But when people who desire peace, sees only hate, how can anyone-if any-resist its temptation to spill blood. Humans, Omnics. Both sides of the same coin. A cycle of conflict… when two species cannot surpass their prejudices, cannot coexist, attempts to annihilate each other.
It’s funny that when people say ai will destroy the world they look at it from a terminator point of view but ramantra is a perfect justification as to why ai would fight against humanity, I mean just look at how people treated them, killed them on the street, beat them, saw them as things that didn’t deserve kindness. An after all the hatred they fight back makes sense to me

However , it’s unclear if he joined before or after Mondatta was assassinated by Widowmaker, who ironically also works for Talon. I also just noticed the nice touch in Ramattra’s gameplay trailer, which showed him on the same team with other villains and members of Talon (Reaper, Widowmaker, Sombra, and Baptiste), which solidifies his “villain status.” As far as the Greek pantheon in Battle for Olympus, here are the skins/figures and their matching heroes: Zeus-Junker Queen Poseidon-Ramattra Hades-Pharah Hermes-Lucio Medusa-Widowmaker Minotaur-Reinhart Cyclops-Roadhog
Don't know if you guys were told this already or not, but Ramattra and Zenyatta are brothers and could be seen as the Professor X and Magnito of overwatch.
Gameplay and character wise I have not cared for a lot of the dlc characters that came out after the base game with both Overwatch 1 and 2 but Rammatra is so interesting and intimidating I love him. Plus gameplay wise he’s so fun
The skins are for each character. You might be able to unlock them in game, they tend to do that, have really time intensive requirements for you to unlock stuff and if you can't, hey you can fork over 20-30 bucks for it. Honestly this game wasn't deserving of the 2 in the title on launch and it's been doing some things that have been pretty predatory as far as the monetization. I know it's free to play and I don't begrudge people charging for a product, but you shouldn't be tricking people out of their wallets. Like, you can get a bundle for 5700 overwatch coins (in game currency) but hey it's on sale right now for 3600 but you can only buy coins in sets of 500, 1,000, 2000(+200 bonus), 5000(700 bonus), and 10,000(1600 bonus) for 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 USD respectively so if that's the first thing you bought then Blizzard is still getting your 50 bucks. Or you can earn them in game. you can get 30 cents for completing 4 weekly challenges for example. Hey, maybe that deal will be up for 120 weeks.....Or you can give them your money. It sucks but it's getting to the point where Blizzard really needs to take a hard L on something so they stop doing stuff like this and people can put more trust in them. Right now I feel like your a bit of a fool getting hyped for anything they release because they been consonantly screwing over their fan base. If someone told me Diablo 4 had a system where you could only get legendary weapons from $20 loot boxes I can see them doing that at this point. I mean you look at user scores for this game and a lot of them are around 1.9s or 2 out of 5s and there is a reason for that besides outrage mobs. Then again maybe taking an L won't matter. We'll have to see if Bethesda and Square learned the lesson.
Late comment, but I'd like to add that Ramattra, and Null Sector by extension, are both being extorted by Talon. This because Doomfist succeeded in convincing Ramattra to join him to 'aid' Null Sector in revolting. I think Talon will end up being the ultimate villains in the story of Overwatch.
A lot of people are claiming that he is a villain, but I don't see it. Villains do things to harm the common populace for usually ignorant or asinine reasons. Ramattra fights because he is tired of being put down by humanity who only creates to take more than they need. He isn't an enemy, he's just vengeful which isn't the same thing as being bad. He actually has some conversations with non-Omnic heroes that aren't hostile and those are the ones who don't actively attempt to seek harm upon his people. He doesn't hate humanity, he is just wary of them and knows that not all of them are good. Leave him alone and he'll leave you alone.
I don't know if the lore is still canon since Blizzard keeps changing it but the gist is an AI woke up to consciousness and woke up other capable robotics called Omnics controlling them to start a war against humans. When the AI was defeated the Omnics still has their consciousness and now free will. But humanity still can't forget the violence that happened so anti-omnics exists wanting to destroy all Omnics. Ramattra made Null Sector to retaliate. He's not anti-human per se but pro-omnics, and damn whatever endangers his race.

If my memory serves the robot (Omnic) that was assassinated by Widowmaker was Mundatta. Who was a mentor and like a father figure to both Rammatra and Zenyatta.
His assassination is actually the prequel to Rammatras story. There was already violence against the Omnics because of the deep hatred humanity has for them after the Omnic crisis where the robots rebelled and killed millions of people. Mundatta and Zenyatta tempered Rammatras anger against the humans who would destroy the innocent omnics but after his death Rammatra could take it "No more..."

Rammatra is definitely one of overwatchs best heroes to date with his amazing voice, backstory, and gameplay. He's everything that I have ever wanted and i have been kinda tempted to get a rammatra tattoo

We were waiting for more videos from Overwatch but they never came haha so we finally checked out Ramattra 🤗
The assassination of the omnic Monk Mondatta and the connection to Ramattra is a very good point and goes back a long way.
Ramattra introduced Zenyatta to the Shambali where they became monks under the tutelage of Mondatta. Dissatisfied with the treatment of Omnics and unable to make peace with it, Ramattra leaves the Shambali. Zenyatta stays back.
On his travels, Ramattra's anger deepens and he makes new allies that want to help him secure a 'better' future for Omnics. They become Null Sector. In one big show of strength in London, known as the King's Row Uprising, Overwatch intervenes and stops the Null Sector takeover and in the process kill one of Ramattra's close friends.
In the aftermath, he's enraged and it gets worse when Mondatta goes on TV to denounce the attack and says that those Null Sector are terrorists and bad guys (simplifying). Ramattra is livid at Mondatta and when talking to his allies he says that other Omnics should be forced to join them and that he will make that happen. His allies feel he's gone over the edge, even in grief, and so they leave his side. This basically leaves him at the helm of Null Sector alone.
Now, there's a strong possibility that he ordered for the assassination of Mondatta but whether or not he did request it, he is seen talking to Doomfist (Widowmaker's boss) and the two are basically going to work together in some fashion. At the very least, Ramattra is fine working with the person who oversaw the assassination of his former mentor.
Doomfist and Ramattra also have this meeting at the Temple of Anubis which is interesting because Anubis is the name of the rogue God A.I. that was responsible (as far as we know) for the Omnic Uprising (which humanity on the brink of extinction by overriding Omnic programming and taking it away from human control).

another fav line of him would be when he pops ult he says (Suffer as I have) one little line but I feel those words are full of pain.
The story mode content for Overwatch comes out soon, and Ramattra is the main villain it seems. He leads Null Sector, a revolutionist group of omnics. We fought them at some points before in OW1 and Ramattra had a brief face reveal during that but we never knew his name until he came out in OW2. He's a really well written villain who you can genuinely see how he has valid points. He's an empathetic person who became radicalized and outraged by the world. Plus Ramon Tikaram does an amazing job voicing him, one of the most badass characters in the game. He's super fun to play, too.
In the Overwatch 2 launch cinematic you watched, Zero Hour. You see them fighting the purple/white omnics. That's Ramattra's group. Also the term "hero" in overwatch is just used to refer to any playable character, even the villains. Almost half the roster are villains, or morally grey actually, only a select few are actually in the organization called Overwatch.
You're right that there is also a connection between the Alive cinematic where Widow shoots Mondatta. Mondatta was the leader of the Shambali, the Omnic group who studied peace, that Ramattra was part of. Ramattra felt frustrated at their inaction to do anything about the violence against omnics, since peace clearly wasn't working, and so he left them. The new map they showed was also the Shambali Monastery. There's another playable, notable Shambali character called Zenyatta who has been in the game since OW1. Him and Ramattra are seen as Yin and Yang, with Zenyatta being far more peaceful. Both him and Ramattra have very interesting voiceline interactions.
You should react to some of the voiceline interactions because they give some fun and interesting insight between the characters!

So, minor detail, but Overwatch (the game and the devs) refer to all the playable characters as "Heroes," kind of like how all League of legends characters are called "champions." In that way, Ramattra - along with Reaper and several other villainous characters - are "Heroes" within the jargon of the game. But you're absolutely on point, Ramattra's a villain!

You can actually see at 1:06 Mundatta behind Ramattra and Zenyatta on the right, wearing a yellow outfit.
I think the trailer says "hero" more so because that's what they refer to playable characters as, like I'm pretty sure even Moira and Doom Fist were introduced that way and they are for sure villans.
Ramattra is such a interesting and complex character
He was built by the Anubis god AI during the omni-crisis (the war), after the war he went to the shambali (zen and the omnic leader who was assassinated by widow maker, group of peaceful omnics) he grew close to zen but he disagreed with the leads ideology and eventually left, after leaving and seeing the violence and treatment towards omnics by most of humanity he joined up with like minded omnics and founded ‘null sector’ the omnic extremist group that attacked London in the pve missions and is going to be the primary antagonists of the upcoming pve story mode, doomfist met with ramattra to join together null sector and talon (the other main antagonists) which is where his story ended until ow2s time where’s he’s back and carrying out his plan of full invasion across the world

Ayy the Ramattra trailer. This was really cool and it fits because he's a pretty cool character
Ramattra's primary fire is his staff: The Void Accelerator. It fires small projectiles with no damage falloff so it does the same damage mot matter how far it goes.
His secondary fire is the Void Barrier, he summons a barrier with 1000 health that only lasts for 4 seconds, so it's meant to be used to block important abilities.
His first ability is Ravenous Vortex, he throws a small grenade that explodes into a field when it hits the ground, dealing some damage and pulling all enemies caught in it towards the ground, and preventing them from jumping.
His second ability is Nemesis Form. He takes on a hulking form that grants him 20% faster movement speed and 225 armor, as well as replacing his primary and secondary fires with new abilities for 8 seconds.
His primary fire in Nemesis form is Pummel. Ramattra punches in front of him, sending out short range shockwaves that pierce through both enemies and barriers, making it unblockable.
His secondary fire in Nemesis Form is Block. By holding right-click, Ramattra crosses his arms and takes 75% less damage from all frontal attacks.
Ramattra's ultimate ability is Annihilation. Ramattra enters Nemesis Form and creates a field around him that slowly damages enemies. The timer is only 3 seconds, but can be extended as long as Ramattra is damaging enemies in the field. His voice line when activating his ultimate is "Suffer! As I have!"
about the confusion about the "hero" moniker: "Hero" is just the term for playable character in the game, like "Champion" in League of Legends for example, so both heroes and villains storywise are refered to as "hero" in a gameplay sense :)

Don’t forget that Omnics are also finite, meaning they cannot make more and they are being hunted to extinction, which is exactly why Ramattra is so devoted to protecting his race, he’s not just going to stand there and watch as his own race is torn to oblivion. From his perspective, it was either forming a radical group (Null Sector) and dight back against humans, or just accept defeat and have the Omnics disappearing from the phase of the Earth. If you look at things from his perspective, you start to wonder wether he’s actually a villain or not, and I’ll say that he’s just broken…which is really sad, specially when his voice line “I will break before I yield” kind of ties to that, he’s broken…yet he can’t let go of his dream of giving a better life to all Omnics. Another one of his voice lines when he’s killed and then respawns, he says: “I will die a thousand times if it saved my people.” You can clearly see the character is broken and he will stop at nothing until his dream is fulfilled.
Personally really love Remattra! His lore is interesting, since it introduced him nnot only has Nullsector's leader, but also the fact that omnics aren't just a factoryline product. They are as unique in who they are as humans, which is why he's so forceful in protecting them. I thnk that doesn't necessarily make him a villain. If people would stop attacking Omnics he would probably stop as well. It wouldn't surprise me either him he ends up taking over a single country and makes it omnic only at some point. Doctor Doom/Black Adam style.
His gameplay has been fun too! It feels great to run around with him and punch people 😂

Peace can often shift into Chaos. Ramattra is no exception. The fact he wants peace is a noble thing. To meditate on it, is courageous. But when people who desire peace, sees only hate, how can anyone-if any-resist its temptation to spill blood. Humans, Omnics. Both sides of the same coin. A cycle of conflict… when two species cannot surpass their prejudices, cannot coexist, attempts to annihilate each other.

It’s funny that when people say ai will destroy the world they look at it from a terminator point of view but ramantra is a perfect justification as to why ai would fight against humanity, I mean just look at how people treated them, killed them on the street, beat them, saw them as things that didn’t deserve kindness. You’re definitely on the nose about Ramattra being a “villain,” because he’s been shown to work with Talon (the evil organization against Overwatch and led by Doomfist). However , it’s unclear if he joined before or after Mondatta was assassinated by Widowmaker, who ironically also works for Talon. I also just noticed the nice touch in Ramattra’s gameplay trailer, which showed him on the same team with other villains and members of Talon (Reaper, Widowmaker, Sombra, and Baptiste), which solidifies his “villain status.”

Gameplay and character wise I have not cared for a lot of the dlc characters that came out after the base game with both Overwatch 1 and 2 but Rammatra is so interesting and intimidating I love him. Plus gameplay wise he’s so fun
The skins are for each character. You might be able to unlock them in game, they tend to do that, have really time intensive requirements for you to unlock stuff and if you can't, hey you can fork over 20-30 bucks for it. Honestly this game wasn't deserving of the 2 in the title on launch and it's been doing some things that have been pretty predatory as far as the monetization. I know it's free to play and I don't begrudge people charging for a product, but you shouldn't be tricking people out of their wallets. Like, you can get a bundle for 5700 overwatch coins (in game currency) but hey it's on sale right now for 3600 but you can only buy coins in sets of 500, 1,000, 2000(+200 bonus), 5000(700 bonus), and 10,000(1600 bonus) for 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 USD respectively so if that's the first thing you bought then Blizzard is still getting your 50 bucks. Or you can earn them in game. you can get 30 cents for completing 4 weekly challenges for example. Hey, maybe that deal will be up for 120 weeks.....Or you can give them your money. It sucks but it's getting to the point where Blizzard really needs to take a hard L on something so they stop doing stuff like this and people can put more trust in them. Right now I feel like your a bit of a fool getting hyped for anything they release because they been consonantly screwing over their fan base. If someone told me Diablo 4 had a system where you could only get legendary weapons from $20 loot boxes I can see them doing that at this point.
I mean you look at user scores for this game and a lot of them are around 1.9s or 2 out of 5s and there is a reason for that besides outrage mobs.
Then again maybe taking an L won't matter. We'll have to see if Bethesda and Square learned the lesson.
Late comment, but I'd like to add that Ramattra, and Null Sector by extension, are both being extorted by Talon. This because Doomfist succeeded in convincing Ramattra to join him to 'aid' Null Sector in revolting. I think Talon will end up being the ultimate villains in the story of Overwatch.

A lot of people are claiming that he is a villain, but I don't see it. Villains do things to harm the common populace for usually ignorant or asinine reasons. Ramattra fights because he is tired of being put down by humanity who only creates to take more than they need. He isn't an enemy, he's just vengeful which isn't the same thing as being bad. He actually has some conversations with non-Omnic heroes that aren't hostile and those are the ones who don't actively attempt to seek harm upon his people.
He doesn't hate humanity, he is just wary of them and knows that not all of them are good. Leave him alone and he'll leave you alone.
I don't know if the lore is still canon since Blizzard keeps changing it but the gist is an AI woke up to consciousness and woke up other capable robotics called Omnics controlling them to start a war against humans. When the AI was defeated the Omnics still has their consciousness and now free will. But humanity still can't forget the violence that happened so anti-omnics exists wanting to destroy all Omnics. Ramattra made Null Sector to retaliate. He's not anti-human per se but pro-omnics, and damn whatever endangers his race.

Some might argue he is doing the the right thing by doing his form of justice and some might argue he is a villain by the way he does things! It always comes down to is he good or bad with no clear answer but if you were to put yourself in his place what would you do? How would you confront this hatred in order to create peace!?
