Sounds like he becomes kinda a rein in nemesis form, but the attacks have less of a wide range but more of a far range instead. He can, just like rein, choose to put up his damage mitigation at any moment without cooldown, slowing him down, but his is less reliable (damage still goes through) and more selfish. Depending on the damage you do, it seems like range is his biggest advantage here.
Honestly aside of the punching he's got nothing to do with doom- Sure, it looks like a similar concept with the fist but gameplay wise he looks so much different.
