Hi! Thanks so much for checking out the video and leaving a comment. It was shot at 25 frames per second with a 16x9 aspect ratio. To be honest, I wasn't really thinking about rolling shutter effect at the time - I was just having fun shooting the video! 😄
You have continued to showcase the strengths of the BMPCC 4K, it is an amazing camera, workhorse, with proper lighting the outcome is great cinematography, Zerj thanks for sharing your talent, experience, this sure motivates me also to go rent a space to use for a location.
Kamishimo, I agree with you about the BMPCC 4K - it is great! For every awesome frame need the right cinematic lighting. I think I will be the talk a lot about this on my channel! Also, good cinematography needs an interesting story!=)
Very well done! Serj. I loved the framing, staging and color palette. The actress does great as well. The pacing is very good, It's certainly a great camera, but definitely your work is excellent. I'll keep an eye out for the short film. Congratulations
Hi Federico, Thank you so much for your opinion and kind words. I will do new video in horror style with directing comments. I hope it will be interesting! Will keep in touch!
Thank you so much! Yes, you are right. We didn't have much time to shoot this video with cinematic lighting. But the result was good. The BMPCC 4K exceeded my expectations.
Hey man I’m trying figure out how to import the video files from the bmpcc 4K to my iPad Pro from a SD card but I’m having a hard time doing so I don’t know if it has to be formatted to work? Help please!
Hi Ricardo, thank you! My colorist friend used Davinci Resolve to color grading this footage. Sorry, I don't know what kind of lut he used. I don't do color grading myself.
Good! I've worked with vespid-prime series lenses and love them. Soft running rings. Excellent sharpness. LOW weight. Convenient and high-quality optics. I have not worked with catta-zoom, but I think this is also a good lens. I usually work with BMPCC 6K PRO and it has a crop. Сatta-zoom not wide enough for me. For me, pictor-zoom is better. But for you Сatta-zoom is good!
God am in love with your color palette and that harmony with yellow and brown...and god that set design and lighting ..it looks straight out Netflix show or a Hollywood movie...yes please for the video review.....
Hi Vicky, thank you so much! I'll make the review for this video in the future, but now you can look at this video: ruclips.net/video/jN6M_JCJYWc/видео.html I talk about some cinematic lighting techniques, which I used for shooting this video.
Hi Francisco, I think Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 II ASPH. O.I.S. Lumix G X Vario is better because has сonstant fast f/2.8 aperture and image stabilization. But that's just my opinion. Thanks for the question.
Hi! In fact, this film could have been shot with any camera. Most importantly, the choice of color, set design and lightning. The videos on my channel just talk about these important details of filmmaking. Welcome!
It is amazing, congratulations Help, please, I'm new to bmpcc 4k, I recorded some HD prores proxy shots. I edited the video in premiere and after rendering the video it looks pixelated and when I upload it to RUclips it looks even worse and I don't understand why, the original file didn't look like that. I exported it in H.264, I would be very grateful if someone could tell me why this happens
Hi! Yaretzi! After importing files in Premiere Pro, you need to create the right sequence. If you don't know information about sources files, you can just drop one file on the timeline and Premier Pro will prompt you to change the sequence settings to the same ones as the file. After editing, export the video with the preset for RUclips - Choose Format: H.264 and Preset RUclips 1080p Full HD. Let me know about your successes.
Want to watch a video review of the cinematic lighting for this video?

Super cinematic!!!
A PRO job!!!! By the way, the cinematic lighting is Wonderfull. May be the first take could be better with less light. just may be....
The shots from the third one onwards have a perfect illumination.... I think... but don't get me wrong, the first two look sensational.
Can you give us more info about, lenses, aperture and ISO used?
Hi Federico, Thank you so much for your opinion and kind words. I will do new video in horror style with directing comments. I hope it will be interesting! Will keep in touch!

Hi Akil, thank you! I didn't use it for this video, just a camera and a lens.
@@Filmmaker_SZ that's really amazing that you can get this level of quality from this simple setup!
Excellent quality can be obtained with proper lighting. You can see my lighting techniques on my channel. Thanks!
I'm curios whether Andrey Beresnev (andbery) is your teacher..
Yes, also Roger Deakins, Matthew Libatique, Emmanuel Lubezki,
Shane Hurlbut and others
Are you recording constant bitrate or constant quality? Looks great, so crisp.
Hi Daniel, usually, I record ProRes HQ, and then my colorist works on that source in DaVinci Resolve. But this video was shot in ProRes 422.
What frame rate did you shoot this at?
Hi Joe, 25fps
I wonder what if this short film was done with GH6.
