The pokemon you find in the safari zone are quite good. Exeggcute, Rhyhorn, Tauros, Chansey, Kangaskhan, and Doduo are all very powerful.

If you can't afford the $500 fee to enter the safari zone don't worry, keep trying to enter and the guard will let you in with only one safari ball. So you're basically giving up the ability to catch anything but at least you can get HM03 and the Gold Teeth
