  • 👋 Let's take the all new 2023 Acura Integra A-Spec through the mountains! Get our impressions of the 2023 Integra A-Spec with a manual transmission ripping through some twisty mountain roads! It's here! This new Integra handles really well and we were surprised with how flat it was in the turns! Not much power but it was still a blast rowing through the gears! The all new 2023 Acura Integra! An iconic JDM name is back from Acura and today we check out this 2023 Integra A-Spec with a 6 speed manual transmission! The new Integra A-Spec for 2023 is currently the top trim car. We get a turbocharged 1.5 liter 4 cylinder engine with about 200 horsepower and 192 Torque and a limited slip front differential. Now 0-60 is very slow at 7.7 seconds in the manual and 7 seconds in the CVT automatic. So it's not all too quick. But it feels peppy around town and you can play with the power and use every bit of it without breaking speed limits. The exterior styling with the 2023 Acura Integra A-Spec is pretty sharp! You can see a very similar shape to the new Honda Civic but there are more points and sharp lines. I especially love the name Integra stamped into the bumpers like on the old car. Interior has a red leather and black two tone design with red micro suede. Pretty nice on the inside however it does feel more like an economy car then a luxury car. However it's nice enough for the price point. There is a bit of wind noise and the seats are a little hard on the base, but it offers a lot of interior space and amenities with fantastic tech. It's fun to row through the gears and there is enough feedback in the clutch pedal. This is a very forgiving manual to drive and the new Integra would be a great first car or first manual car. Easy to drive and handles really good for a fun practical car.
    Finished in Platinum White Paarl for $38,000 do you think the new Acura Integra is worth the price. It's about $8,000 more than the 2023 Honda Civic Si which is the same car underneath. I think the new 2023 Integra is geared more toward the Lexus IS and Audi A3. It's a bit cheaper and offers the same acceleration but it's a more fun car! The Toyota GR86 feels like the two door version of this. So I think the 2023 Integra really is a practical version of the GR86. Even though for the same price you can buy a 2023 WRX, GR Corolla or GTI, which all are significantly faster cars with more performance, I feel like the new Integra is more focused on the buyer who wants a normal entry level luxury car with a sporty vibe. Cool option for sure!

    I just bought the car last week and I'm in love with it. It's a beautiful blend of style, performance, amenities/tech and fuel efficiency. And yes, the different drive modes do change the dampeners. Additionally it has limited slip differential, which is great for pulling you in and out of those corners. It also pipes in a little exhaust sound with sport mode, which I actually like. Today I hit 44mpg on a fifty mile highway drive, which is awesome. Overall, I feel I made a great choice in getting the car. Great review guys!

      @@BrosFOURRSpeed if only Si's were actually sold at MSRP. In my area, Si's are marked up over the cost of their Integra equivalents, and I was able to get a manual Integra for 33k (granted it was used with 2k miles.) They can be great deals if you know where to look!

      Unfortunately. Zero infrastructure, ZERO reliability, HORRIBLE resale value, and the government is pushing them on people too soon, and all the car companies ( Except for Toyota and Mazda mostly) aren't taking that route yet. It needs another fifteen to twenty years before its mainstay..

    The Acura fixes a huge issue with the Civics. Road and wind noise reduction. Those cars are horrible on the freeway with noisy cabins. The stereo is also A+. Is there more feedback from the controls vs the Supra?

    • @BrosFOURRSpeed
      @BrosFOURRSpeed  Год назад +1

      I will say this does have a good amount of wind and road noise. I can’t imagine the Civic is any worse. Hopefully I can drive an Si and see. But the Supra is a big step up in interior refinements. Significantly nicer. This doesn’t really feel like a premium car. Just a nicer then normal economy car with really good handling

      I had a 1998 Integra LS manual and it was a great fun car. This version is definitely not worth the price. Should have had at least 250 HP for that price. These car manufacturers much like other companies are stingy, greedy entities. They have the nerve to make this car $38K but with all the other taxes and fees probably rounds it up about another $5K. I'd rather buy another BMW E39 M5 which is far superior to this overpriced "entry" level and pay $20-30K for a monstrous V8 with a 6 speed.

      Price point, yeah this is a bit much for a 16 year old. But the platform has everything a good first car would need. Reliable, comfortable, safe, good tech, easy to drive and practical. A Honda civic with the manual is basically this exact car. So a good used newish Civic would be more doable as a first car. But we are more talking about the platform makes a good first car

      They didn't say anything wrong. This is just a nicer Civic which was first car for many of us. It sure doesn't seem like it nowadays due to the extravagant car prices but I agree with the review. I test drove this exact car yesterday and thought it was fun but underpowered. The manual gearbox was 10 out of 10.
