    Just got the type S... It's good. Real good. Mind blowing good
    Got it for 48,999. End of January desperation from dealers. Cross shopped the offer with every Acura dealer in NJ and got it way under MSRP.

    Does anyone who truly loves driving a manual actually look at the tachometer or worry about what gear they're in? No... it's all done autonomically by your senses, which is the entire point of having a manual. Minor gripe dude, not even worth mentioning.

    Just picked up a used '24 A spec manual. Unbelievable car and best value on the market right now. I am THE demo for this car. Mid 40s, family guy, commuter, who likes to shift his own gears. I also like the understated design. Im long past trying to be cool and impress people with my vehicle.

    Love the new Integra, I almost pulled the trigger on one. However up here in Canada where the 11th generation Honda Civic is made, the Canadian spec Civic Si comes with the heated seats and steering wheel, fog lights and the full digital dash, all features the US spec lacks. Went up going with the 2023 Civic Si, for 10k more the Integra doesn't really make sence up here. Enjoy!

    Got a 2024 Aspec 5-speed in red/orchid last month. The engine just wants to GO, but I'm going easy the first 1,000 miles. Looking forward to a lot of fun with this car. The heated seats haven't been an issue in southern Arizona in June, but I'm surprised Homelink isn't here. A gear indicator would also be nice. I also 'almost' bought the Type S, but got the A Spec instead. In addition to saving $$, the Type S lacks the sunroof, a power passenger seat, and memory for the driver seat. I still do not understand these omissions.

    • @CarDietrich
      @CarDietrich  10 дней назад

      The Type-S is also only a four seater, and it doesn’t have the charging ports in the back seat. An Acura rep told me that the lack of electronics is due to residual chip shortages, and because the Integra Type-S is so closely related to the Civic Type-R they would have to redo crash testing if they made it a 5 seater.

    • @markm391
      @markm391 6 месяцев назад +1

      I experienced the sticky steering issue. One way you'll know the problem exists.. Is if it's difficult to keep the car in the lane on the highway. You'll have to constantly make slight adjustments to keep it straight. It may also stick at high speeds going around a hwy turn. First Acura tried re-calibrating the electric steering. Which helped a little. Then they replaced the whole rack. Ever since it's been buttery smooth 👍🏻 Handling is 👌🏻 It was a game changer for me and I love this car now. Make sure you get that fixed 👍🏻

    I just bought the exact same car as yours (same color inside and out, MT and just a 2024). I love it as well. The only other nitpicks that I have with the Integra are: 1. No Homelink (which is frustrating since every other Acura has it as well as the Civic Sport Touring hatchback) and 2. No rear wiper. Other than that it's a great car and am glad I got the 6spd MT before Honda decides to get rid of them all together.

      @@redandblack1911 I'm in north Texas. We have 5 Acura dealers in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area but none of them had this exact color scheme (blue with white interior and a 6MT). I found one in Shreveport, LA. (3hr drive). (The next closest one I found was in Las Vegas!). So I went to Shreveport to buy it. Since there's only 1 Acura dealer in that area, they kind of have a lock on the market and they wouldn't budge much in the pricing. They're one of these dealers that add on all of the BS junk that no one needs to the tune of $2K. Bottom line, even with all of the junk fees added on I got the car for MSRP less my $750 Acura loyalty rebate (I own an RDX as well). I could have gotten a much better deal at one of the dealers in the DFW area but I wasn't sure if I could ever get the color and 6MT combination that I wanted. Where are you?

    I own the Liquid Carbon with red interior version of this car with the manual transmission. I love the car. Best car I have ever owned ! Only thing I don’t care about is the heads up display. To me this is a worthless item. You see the same information on your infotainment screen, gage cluster and the heads up display. Overkill in my humble opinion. The heated seats are more of an ass warmer and don’t really heat much of your back but they do heat up quickly. My wife’s VW Tiguan heats the seats up slower but once heated they cover a much larger area. Still love this car though !

    Used to work at Honda as a service advisor. The issue you had with your idle stop system was due to climate controls. Certain criteria have to be met in order for it to activate, such as the climate control not being turned up high on heat or cool. It’s a dumb system, I agree, but your complaint is something we saw a lot at Honda.

It's disconcerting when you stop at a red light, the engine turns off and you lose the ability to steer the wheel, and the slight lag when you press the clutch and put it into gear. I’ve also had an Apex Blue Integra A-Spec for a year now. I have mixed feelings about it. I’ve had some minor issues. The stopper (for lack of a better word) behind the clutch pedal fell off, so I had the clutch hitting metal until a new one came in, the upholstery on the back of the passenger seat came undone, and something inside the dashboard came off and rattled around for a while. My bigger dislikes are that it’s really slow off the line, even in sport mode. And, although people rave about the transmission, mine seems to crunch into second and third 90 percent of the time. Multiple visits to 2 different dealers resulted with the usual “We don’t feel it. It seems to be working perfectly to us.” Even with the other issues, if it wasn’t for the transmission, I’d really enjoy the car.

      I understand. I have owned an RSX-s, 8th & 9th gen civic, and this Integra. In my experience, all those cars had varying levels of notchy and crunchy shifting. If you haven't done so, try using a little less force when shifting and firmly "guide" the shifter in place. I know the synchros are supposed to be doing its job, but the shifter will slide in very nicely at the correct RPM (kind of like clutchless shifting). Good luck.
