From the very start of the show and all the way through to the end, the clues were masterfully laid that they were always going to be endgame. It was the only ending that made sense for where the show began, and I have the utmost respect for the creators for staying true to the story they set out to tell and not changing it based on what the audience wanted. True art is staying true to your story, not giving into what people want. Tracy was Ted's soulmate, but Robin was the love of his life.
The first 4 times I watched this show I just hated the ending so much. but then, on my 5th rewatch I just loved it and kinda understood it and saw how much ted actually loved robin. I still don't understand how I missed it the first for times hahahaahahha
Yes, but don't you think that the way they killed Tracy off was extremely cruel and unnecessary? I like Ted and Robin too, but to me Robin should have been the mother of his children in the first place. There was no reason to make poor Tracy get sick! Also because, Ted was so obsessed by Robin, that I will always wonder : even if Tracy would not have died in this horrible way, how can we know that Ted would have not broken up with her, someday, to come back to Robin?

this is the ending we deserve, this show has made my expectations so high i’ve not been able to give up just yet. everyday i tell myself one day i’ll be there with him and i won’t give up just yet because it’s not easy and you should never throw away love, even if it hurts.
This video shows perfectly why I enjoyed Robin and Ted in the first seasons and why I preferred them to be friends later on. They were great together. She became more mature, he became less demanding and thankfully forgot about the abstract list of qualities needed for his future wife. They were spontaneous, loving and gentle. But later on it seemed to me that Robin fell for Ted once again because she wanted somebody who will put her first all the time and she saw that Ted was ready to sacrifice himself multiple times for her even after she continually pushed him away romantically. To me it doesn't seem like a happy love story, more like "better-to-be-loved-than-to-love-because-the-second-option-makes-me-too-vulnurable-and-is-way-more-unpredictable" story (from Robin's perspective).

She was sterile. She didn't know and never wanted to have children but when Robin realized that she could't have them due to her condition, that moment was very appalling for her.
Ted and Robin are just perfect together, the ending couldn't have been any more perfect ❤️ Since the very beginning we've known they had to end up together, everything was just about timing for them . Maybe Tracy was perfect for him but Robin was the love of his life and turns out Ted didn't want perfect he wanted Robin. And Robin has always been in love with Ted but she didn't chose him bc she knew she couldn't give him the family with kids he wanted so bad, she chose his happiness over hers and that's true love. They were cute back in the earlier seasons but it kinda felt forced in the later seasons. She had better chemistry with Barney. I love their friendship though.
Uhm are we watching the same series cause there is no chemistry between robin and barney... All of there "love scene" is forced and just doesnt make sense when it happens.. they just suddenly kiss all of a sudden and make zero sense and the last season they build up barney and robin focusing on the two of them and still didnt click...
