    I feel like this isn't exactly like that other person's work on IG. And nowadays it's honestly so hard to make something that's completely original because so much has already been done. Designers need to give each other some leeway when it comes to this. Musicians also have a hard time because so many sound combinations have already been explored. It's unfair to assume someone is trying to steal a design unless it is something extremely unique and the other person's looks EXACTLY the same. So don't worry yourself too much about it!

      People keep claiming that others are copying them when it’s the most basic design or it’s been done before 100 times… 💀 I’ve seen so many sweaters like this combination so whoever said that is a liar

    • @mmorrow7243
      @mmorrow7243 Год назад +5

      Agreed. I've also seen people claim to have created a pattern that already exists and get pissy when other people create the same or similar item and "don't give credit" to them. It's ridiculous. Chances are, it's been around in some variation or another since your granny's time. I think gatekeeping patterns like this is so lame. So, mad respect to Erin for sharing her talents with us. If you're a fiber artist for a living, people will still by your products even if the patterns are publicly available as the majority of people don't crochet, knit, embroider, etc. I've also seen people charging crazy amounts for patterns for really basic stuff which is absolutely ridiculous. Most patterns are around $5-9 and girls on etsy are trying to sell a pattern like this sweater for $15-20.

    • @itserinb

      I definitely did at first but it was worth it to make the neckline smaller this time cause I’m the past my neckline is way too wide on my shoulder and I wanted a tighter fit this time. After a few times the neckline has stretched out enough to slip on 🥰💓

    • @anastasiachery5874
      @anastasiachery5874 Год назад +5

      i know i am very late but you can solve this by using a foundation half double crochet for example. The chain is what makes it stiff, so when you use a foundation stitch (no chain required) it gives the neckline a lovely stretch and you can make the neckline quite tight without worrying of it not fitting over your head :))

    Would this be good to wear in the summer or would it be too warm. I live in Dubai so the summers are harsh.
