@@jonestownbass9294 Cheers dude! As a Metal bassist as well, I love to see others play and watch their technique. Hope to see JonesTown on the road soon and my own band Terraborn are aiming to be gigging again next year Best Wishes Chris
I always loved the bass in this song but I didn't realize it was THIS complex! Fuckin crazy good job!! I have a crystal mountain vocal cover if you wanna check it out.
Many thanks my friend! I will borrow my response to this question on another vid; I guess it's a combination of playing style and my gear 😄 But here there's no strange EQ going on. I use a Jackson JS3VQ Concert bass and D'addario NYXL strings. For this recording I used a Line 6 UX2 as the sound interface for recording sound with amp settings and sounds from Pod Farm 2, but mainly it is a quite clean tone with a quite balanced EQ. In general I like to boost mids a little and cut the bass slightly. Volume is quite balanced between pickups on this one as well. More recently, I switched recording hardware to Axe I/O from IK Multimedia, which I must say is really amazing and a clear improvement. Sorry for the late response and let me know if you have any more questions!
@@legigachad780hard agree on Together as One being the most difficult. Suicide Machine didn’t feel too bad but Together as One is absolute murder on my fingers currently
This cover is amazing! I would maybe change the tone to have the bridge pickups a bit louder and the treble and high mids just a bit louder to have a bit more of that extra attack sound. But the technique is right on the money! Amazing stuff.
That tone though...
You literally just inspired me to make my own bass cover page!!! This cover is so clean!!
What an honor, thanks mate! Best of luck with your page!! \m/
The bass always caught my attention in this song!
Damn bro this the best cover I can find of suicide machine, good job I want to learn this song it looks really hard
Thank you very much! It's hard, but such a great and fun song to play
This bass line so insane. Every bassist in death's bassist is insane
Thanks for watching my friend. Agreed, we can all learn from Death's bass players!
Smooth as butter, great work !!
🙏🙏
shit dude. When I grow up I wanna play like you. And I am already 44.
Such an honor, thank you 🙏 But I'm sure that you will, keep going! 😊
2 dislikes ? Wtf ? You did well bro and “Death” is awesome! Chuck you’re not forgotten!
One dude was jealous of his skills, the other was jealous of his tone.
@@SpaceCowboy57 The tone is not great and the playing is overall slighty not tight. But a good rendition either way.
IT'S AMAZING! I play electric guitar, but it makes me want to learn to play bass. This sounds so good! I love your cover!
Thank you, that is such an honor to hear!
Dude you nailed it like litterally it is right on the money good job 👍
Many thanks 🙏🙏
Wow

What tuning?
1 full step down on all strings, the E string tuned in D etc 😊
Great sound, what are you using to sound like this?

This could be Death's hardest song on bass
Maybe! In any case I'll try out a few more in the future and tell you what I think :)
Together as one for me is the hardest

Круто 👍🤘
спасибо большое 🤘
Do you use 3 fingers for plucking or just 2 fingers ?
Hey! My default is two fingers but for the really fast parts (including on this song) I use three fingers 😊

Svensk yes!

Thanks! Sounds like great fun, let's talk!

kinda slept on jackson basses bc they're hideously ugly but this one's got the tone
Hehe, thanks! I think I was really lucky with this one and with its tone.
