I don't care what they say but DEATH is so good at their bass not like some bands that the bass it's just almost usless it is relaxing to watch too. nice one that was cool well played
This intro is something, Jesus... Chuck knew something. And this bassline, going to non-obvious and unexpected ways at the beginning of the intro. Just fantastic!
Great cover, Death is one of those bands where you can usually hear the bass giving it an almost jazzy feel even in this death metal genre. Especially on individual thought patterns, it's more pronounced
Hey Pavel ! Amazing cover and amazing tone. Bass sounds like proper bass and not as an angry robot. 10/10 ! May i ask, is it a Dimarzio model 'P' that you are using ? thanks in advance for your reply ! Cheers : )
Hi! Thank you:) It’s custom made pickup from luthier who made this bass, I try model p (you can check it on my “like a prayer” cover) but this pickup sounds much better
@@TracyPayForMe Thanks for your reply Pavel, the pickup has a nice midrange punch! And sounds very articulate. Great job from your luthier, and that's a really pretty bass.
I own an 1986 Ibanez roadstar II Bass I need to change the pickups they are old and starting to sound dull I'm planning on getting a set of EMG Geezer Butler pickups in the PJ setup. Then I'm set to Anesthesia pulling teeth or sweet leaf.
There is an iso track of this on youtube but it sounds like you have done some improvising as every other cover has to guess at the actual riffs, is this assessment correct?
This is probably the only time I'm ever not going to say anything negative about someone uses a fretted bass to play this song. The tone was good, and sounded about as close as you could to simulating a fretless bass... However, besides that. You actually played the song correctly. To which, 89% of bass covers out there for this song are so fucking wrong it disgusting.
Okay, well I'm not sure if Steve remembers correctly then. Because the song the Philosopher is literally impossible to play fretted. However, good cover.

Which part?
Probably 2:10, jazz was the wrong word but Death did a lot of interesting things with the bass on Human, IDP, and TSOP
Это самый ценный кавер! Спасибо, Павел, блестяще!

Das ist das höchste in Sachen metal! Der bass ist verdammt schwer zu spielen.....ich kann mitfühlen 😊
very fucking good.
This was fun!
Офигительно. Сколько лет на басу играешь?
Походу всю жизнь
жес, вот это пальцы :)
Just asking do you also play fretless. You play like you do. If not try it. Your style would sound great. Jam on.

Mr Di Giorgio in his instagram said that the entire human album was recorded on fretted rickenbacker

@@roofy3075 but philosopher is on Individual Thought Patterns
@@roofy3075 how would he not remember? Individual Thought Patterns was definitely fretless though
