Dear ReallusionGuys! I might have found a very annoying bug. I transfered an root motion animation via live link, only motion transfer. I found out that the root motion animation has a strange rotation and if I play it in a loop this offset becomes very obvious. If I export the animation using the normal I clone 8 to ue5 export and import it manually, the animation works perfectly. There must be a bug in the live link motion transfer that affects the root bone.

The transfer of the motion is done correctly. In Unreal you can view this animation. But when putting it in Sequence... The animation does not occur (It's the part you don't show in the video) . What is the problem ?
I hop to add a strong render engine inside iclone ,,i think it is very hard to do all this and open 2 software to render

which versions of unreal work with this change. I get an error message with 5.0.3. Message says I need to install Unreal 5??
but ive already imported the character using auto setup and i have also made a ton of changes to the mesh and textures within UE5. now i just want to export animations and poses ONLY instead of having a whole new mesh to work with. How do i do this?
On transfer Motion I always get this: Parent Floder or Skeleton of characters and props cannot be found. Make sure to first setup your character or props in Unreal using the transfer funtion, or import FBX via Auto Setup: The livelink is working fine I can see my girl in both and working? Anyone have a solution
question in my timeline for characters i have a visibilty part of the character which allows visibilty of clothing and such to be on or off but when i transfer to unreal thosevisibilities dont transfer thru is there another part im missing or need to turn on for it to happend?
Hi @michaelb1099,
Visibility settings only works inside iClone and cannot be exported. If the items are not needed, you can simply delete them. If they are needed and you just wish to hide them, you can do so once the character is exported into Unreal and use the UE method of hiding objects in the level.
@@reallusion Thank you appreciate it was curious as i am working on a short maybe ill just do the whole short in iclone then i am rewatching complete scene production tut in iclone 7 wish there were the same type for iclone 8 but i will just make adjustments i guess Thanks again
In iclone, after I add actions to metahuman's body, the body will automatically rotate by -90 degrees, but the characters in the same action iclone will not rotate. How can the teacher handle this?
I complete the motion transfer. Create a sequence, add the character. When I select the + sign to add animation I see the animation there, I add the animation but nothing happens. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance

Not sure you still need this still or not but i was also banging my head against the wall about this. To fix it you need to add the skeletal mesh component in sequencer and then add the animation mode and set it to "use animation asset" as shown in the tut. Fixes everything
Jesus, I just want to transfer motions for an already setup character inside UE5 but nothing works as all reallusion products. Do you know how to do this? Even all reallusion tutorials for Iclone Live Link are not up to date.
Nothing happens when press Transfer file. UE 5.0.3
Check the Auto Setup plugin version is the latest, and sometimes the delay will happen after you press Transfer.
What setting causes this or can prevent this? This animation was transferred from iClone 8 using the Transfer Motion feature. The smearing happens in editor and inside Sequencer...whenever the animation is played.

This is a joke and doesn't work like it's supposed to. I have iClone 8 and CC4 and all the trimmings and I can tell you from first hand experience they're buggy and the solution to the problems aren't intuitive to fix when you try using them with Unreal.
