Made these this morning. the bacon/ chicken greases makes a difference. Very fluffy. I didn’t have buttermilk, so added 1/4 cup of vinegar to two cups of milk and let it curd in substitution to the buttermilk. They turned out great!

Wow - learned a tip I never thought about in nearly 40 years of cooking, and that is to heat the pan not the oil 🤯
